Synthesis of organo-telluride compounds through nanoparticles catalyzed C-Te cross-coupling reactions has drawn considerable attention in the past several years. This mini review is an attempt to highlight the most important advances and contributions in this fast-growing research field with the emphasis on the mechanistic aspects of the reactions. The reactions are classified based on the type (e.g. coupling of organic halides with elemental Te(0), coupling of terminal acetylenes with ditellurides). This review discussed the recent advances and developments on the applications of nanocatalysts in the synthesis of organic nitrile derivatives. The review is divided into three major sections. The first section will cover conversion of aldehydes into nitriles. The second focuses exclusively on conversion of alcohols into nitriles. The third will discuss conversion of amines into nitriles. Nanostructures of magnesium oxide is one of the most attractive materials which have shown various applications in many aspects of industries. So, finding a controllable and inexpensive technique to produce desirable nanostructures of MgO is valuable. In this work, magnesium oxide (MgO) with different morphologies was successfully prepared via a simple solid-state method. The molar ratio of sodium hydroxide to magnesium salt precursor was obtained 1 to 8. Furthermore, the effect of different magnesium precursors (magnesium chloride and magnesium acetate) on the morphology of MgO was investigated. It was shown that adding halide salts (NaX) to the solid-state reaction media, in spite of the noteworthy influence on the product morphology, facilitate the formation of MgO phase from Mg(OH)2. The synthesized magnesium oxide particles were characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometer, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Synthesized magnesium oxide particles were used to remove congored dye from waste water.

Functionalized morpholines have attracted much attention due to their potential biological activities. Despite the wide importance of morpholine derivatives in drug design of various pharmacological agents, the development of new approaches to their synthesis remains relatively unexplored. Given the low cost and easy availability of N-propargylamines, the synthesis of functionalized morpholines from these versatile building blocks have undergone an explosive growth in recent years. This review provides a concise overview of the synthesis of morpholine cores from N-propargyalamines in recent years.

In the crystal structure, anions and cations are linked into a three-dimensional network via intermolecular N—H...Cl hydrogen bonds.

Objective: This study aims to evaluate the protective effects of American ginseng administered by gastric intubation on sperm vital quality in adult male rats treated with cyclophosphamide (CP)., Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, 28 Adult male Wistar rats were assigned to four groups, seven rats in each. The animals allocated to control, CP treated, Ginseng treated and CP-Ginseng treated groups. Rats were treated with CP (6.1 mg/kg/day, i.p) for 6 weeks. American ginseng was used at a dose of 500 mg/kg/day during treatment. Sperm analysis (motion, count, morphology and viability) were evaluated at the end of the experiments. Sperm motion was assessed by Computer-Assisted Sperm Analysis (CASA). The data were analyzed using GB stat software. Probability values of p<0.05 and p<0.01 were considered significant., Results: The epididymal sperm counts in the groups that received CP showed significant decreases compared to the control group. Also dead and abnormal sperms significantly increased following CP treatment compared with control. The motility of caudal sperm was reduced significantly with CP treatment. Therefore, according to the results of this study, co-administration of CP and American ginseng can improve these parameters., Conclusion: American ginseng can prevent the cytotoxic effects of CP on sperm quality factors.
