The study was conducted to evaluate the outcomes of transverse cancellous lag screw (TCLS) fixation in pauwels type 3 fracture neck of femur (NOF). 29 patients with pauwels type 3 fracture neck of femur were operated with transverse cancellous lag screws. Functional outcome was evaluated using Harris hip score while RUSH score was used to evaluate radiological outcome. The follow up period was 6 months. Quantitative variables were compared using unpaired t- test/Mann- Whitney test. Qualitative variables were compared using Chi-Square test /Fisher’s exact test. Pearson correlation coefficient/Spearman rank correlation coefficient was used to find out the correlation between quantitative variables. A p value of Mean Harris hip score was 84.86 with excellent outcomes in 44.82% of patients. Mean RUSH score was 26.55 at the end of 6 month follow up. The mean time to union was 4 months and the union rate was 93.10%. Over all TCLS fixation technique had good results in our study. This construction not only improves the compression pressure across the fracture site, also offer a multi-plane structure to lock the fracture ends. The addition of the transverse lag screw (inserted perpendicularly to the fracture line) allows optimum control of shear forces in the fracture ends. The transverse screw also provides rigid cortical support by transferring the bending moments from the femoral head and neck to the enhanced posterior lateral cortical support, which harmonized the function of the calcar femorale.

Enzymes are more selective and efficient than synthetic catalysts but are limited by difficult recycling. This is overcome by immobilisation, namely through encapsulation, with the main drawback of this method being slow diffusion of products and reactants, resulting in effectively lowered enzyme activity. Fluorinated dendritic amphiphiles were reported to self-assemble into regularly perforated bilayer vesicles, so-called “stomatosomes”. It was proposed that they could be promising novel reaction vessels due to their increased porosity while retaining larger biomolecules at the same time. Amphiphiles were synthesised and their aggregation was analysed by cryogenic transmission electron microscopy (cryo-TEM) and dynamic light scattering (DLS) in buffered conditions necessary for enzyme encapsulation. Urease and albumin were encapsulated using the thin-film hydration method and investigated by confocal and time-gated stimulated emission depletion microscopy (gSTED). Their release was then used to probe the selective retention of cargo by stomatosomes. Free and encapsulated enzyme activity were compared and their capacity to be reused was evaluated using the Berthelot method. Urease was successfully encapsulated, did not leak out at room temperature, and showed better activity in perforated vesicles than in closed vesicles without perforations. Encapsulated enzyme could be reused with retained activity over 8 cycles using centrifugation, while free enzyme had to be filtrated. These results show that stomatosomes may be used in enzyme immobilisation applications and present advantages over closed vesicles or free enzyme.

Popular culture is a kind of popularized culture among the masses, which is an outcome of media and social interactions. The representation of high culture and mass culture gives a new style to the traditional concept and is represented as a popular culture in the present scenario. The youth are very prone to change and symbolize popular culture. This is largely accepted by the majority of society’s members. The current study looked at the impact of traditional and modern factors on the emergence of cultural identity in the younger generation. PurposeInfrastructural revolution, intense competition and customer attraction towards organised apparel retailing in India are potentially affecting traditional retailing. The authors seek to identify the factors that customers perceive during shopping in organised apparel retail store. This study also investigates the indirect effects of identified factors on behavioural outcomes such as loyalty.Design/methodology/approachThe study randomly selected the customers immediately after shopping to minimise the experience's carryover effects. A sample of 648 customers was collected. Data were analysed using multivariate analysis of covariance.FindingsThe study has found that in-store logistics is the second order factor with ease of return, on-shelf availability, product accessibility, shopping convenience, and product information as the variables. The result shows that in-store logistics, store environment, store communication, merchandise assortment, perceived price and employee attribute influence customer satisfaction. As expected, these factors indirectly influence the loyalty.Research limitations/implicationsThis study focused on organised multi-brand apparel retailing, and the survey was conducted in a tier-II city of India only. Hence, any attempt to generalise the findings must be undertaken with caution.Practical implicationsIn the context of multi-brand retailing, competition is fierce. New entrants and traditional apparel retailers hesitate to adopt organised apparel retailing. The findings of this study can be helpful for new entrants and traditional apparel retailers to adopt organised apparel retailing.Originality/valuePrevious studies in the field of multi-brand retailing have mainly focused on the marketing aspect of retail stores. This study contributes to the operations aspect and tests the impact of operational function (in-store logistics) on customer satisfaction.

In this project emotion detection using its facial expressions will be detected. It can be derived from the live feed via system’s camera or any pre-existing image available in the memory. Emotions possessed by humans can be detect by machine and has a vast scope of study in the computer vision industry upon which several research have already been done. The work has been implemented using Anaconda (Jupyter Notebook) (3.10), Open-Source Computer Vision Library (OpenCV) and NumPy. The code check the video (testing dataset) is being compared to training dataset and thus emotion is predicted. The objective of this paper is to develop a system which can analyze the image and run time video and predict the expression of the person. The study proves that this project and code is workable and produces valid results.in this project we have make change to the accuracy of the running project by using the different models of python and deep learning.

This research investigates the impact of partially substituting coarse aggregate with light weight coarse material (LECA). In numerous aspects, LECA mirrors the properties of coarse aggregate. Because self-weight accounts for a major amount of the total load applied to the structure, LECA is utilized in concrete to lower the need for coarse aggregate and in the design of concrete buildings. This is crucial in circumstances like poor soils and tall constructions. It also offers significant advantages in terms of lowering concrete density, which improves labour efficiency. Lightweight concrete has a lower density than standard concrete and provides better thermal insulation. The main purpose of this study is to examine the weight and strength characteristics of concrete, such as cube compressive strength, split tensile strength cylinders, and flexural strength of light weight concrete versus conventional concrete by substituting LECA for natural aggregates by 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%, respectively.
