This paper presents the results of research conducted in the field of the technology of surface hardening of castings from unalloyed and low-alloy nodular cast iron using the laser remelting method. The range of studies included macro- and microhardness measurements using Rockwell and Vickers methods as well as metallographic microscopic examinations using a scanning electron microscope. Moreover, abrasive wear resistance tests were performed using the pin-on-disk method in the friction pair of nodular cast iron—SiC abrasive paper and the reciprocating method in the friction pair of nodular cast iron—unalloyed steel. Analysis of the test results shows that the casting surface layer remelting by laser for unalloyed nodular cast iron results in a greater improvement in its resistance to abrasive wear in the metal–mineral system, as compared to low-alloy cast iron. Additionally, carrying out the laser hardening treatment of the surface layer made of the tested grades of nodular cast iron is justified only if the tribological system of the cooperating working parts and allowable dimensional changes during their operation are known. L’article présente la genèse et les caractéristiques du mépris, ce sentiment et attitude complétés de dédain, qui constitue l’une des notions clés dans l’esthétique de Villiers de l’Isle-Adam. Le mépris, mis à l’aide de l’ironie au double service du « rêveur et railleur » en quête de la gloire, reste particulièrement protéiforme et révélateur de la philosophie villiérienne. À côté du mépris idéologique visant les valeurs matérialistes de la société bourgeoise qui détruit l’idéal, l’œuvre de Villiers fait voir le mépris scientifique dirigé contre l’idée du progrès, et le mépris journalistique, inspiré par les expériences de l’écrivain condamné à l’échec. Au niveau psychologique, le dédain peut être feint et le mépris présupposé, mais aussi inhérent à l’amour, ce qui conduit à un acte d’auto-dévalorisation. L’article analyse la lutte entre ces deux passions qui se déroule au moyen du langage et des gestes.

Materials scientists are seeking to produce metals with reduced weight and dimensions while maintaining the appropriate mechanical properties. There are several ways to improve the internal structure of metals, such as the ultrasound used to solidify liquid metal (this is a patent of Toyota Motors Company). The homogeneity of the grains and the uniformity of the metal structure affects its mechanical strength.This paper presents the results of investigations into the effects of hot deformation parameters in compression on the austenite grain size in HSLA steel (0.16% C, 0.037% Nb, 0.004% Ti, 0.0098% N). The axisymmetric compression investigations were performed on cylindrical investigation specimens of d=1.2 using the Gleeble 3800 simulator. The strain rate=1s-1÷15.9s-1 and strain degree ε=1.2. Before deformation, the research specimens were austenitized at TA = 1100 ÷ 1250°C. Metallographic observations of the primary austenite grains were conducted with an optical microscope, while the structure of dynamically recrystallized austenite, inherited by martensite, was examined by EBSD technique using a scanning electron microscope

Tests were carried out on two high-Mn steels: 27Mn-4Si-2Al-Nb with Nb microaddition and 24Mn-3Si-1.5Al-Nb-Ti with Nb and Ti microadditions. High-manganese austenitic steels, due to their good strength and plastic properties belong to the AHSS (Advanced High-Strength Steel) group and are used in the automotive industry. The main difficulties faced during the casting of the steel and hot working are hot cracks, which can appear in the surface of the ingot. Cracks on the edges of the sheet after hot rolling are the reason for cutting the edges of the sheet and increasing production costs and material losses. The main reason for the formation of hot cracks is the decrease in metal ductility in the high-temperature brittleness range (HTBR). The width of the HTBR depends on mechanical properties and microstructural factors, i.e., non-metallic inclusions or intermetallic phases at austenite grain boundaries. In this paper, a hot tensile test was performed. The research was performed on the GLEEBLE 3800 thermomechanical simulator. This test allows us to determine the width of the high-temperature brittleness range (HTBR), the Nil Strength Temperature (NST), the Nil Ductility Temperature (NDT), and the Ductility Recovery Temperature (DRT). Hot ductility was determined from the value of the reduction in area R(A). The obtained results make it possible to determine the temperature of the beginning of hot working from the tested high-Mn steels. Fractographic research enabled us to define mechanisms of hot cracking. It was found that hot cracks form as a result of disruptions in the liquid film on crystals’ boundaries.

This study investigated the effect of hot working conditions on changes in yield stress and the softening degree in the newly developed multiphase steel with Ti and V microadditions. The research was performed on the GLEEBLE 3800 thermomechanical simulator. In order to determine the σ-ε curves, continuous compression tests were carried out. The samples were plastically deformed at temperatures from 900 °C to 1100 °C at the rate of 0.1 s−1, 1 s−1 and 10 s−1. The activation energy of the plastic deformation was 375 kJ·mol−1. The analysis of the shape and course of the curves indicated that the decrease in strain hardening was mainly the result of the continuous dynamic recrystallization process. Two-stage compression with isothermal holding of the samples was also carried out between the two stages of deformation lasting from 1 s to 50 s. The structure of primary austenite was generated using the ARPGE software. The different size of austenite grain is the result of various thermally activated processes—when increasing the strain rate from 0.1 s−1 to 10 s−1, the average grain size of the primary austenite decreases from approx. 16 µm to approx. 6 µm. The time t0.5 needed to form 50% of the austenite fraction recrystallized at 1100 °C is approx. 4 s and extends to approx. 10 s with the reduction in the plastic deformation temperature to 900 °C. The time of complete austenite recrystallization tR, which varies from approx. 50 s to approx. 90 s in the tested temperature range, lengthens even more. The obtained results make it possible to develop thermomechanical treatment technology for the production of forgings from the tested multiphase steel.

Artykuł podejmuje temat ewolucji w postrzeganiu ideału literackiej muzyczności wśród przedstawicieli francuskiego symbolizmu koncentrując uwagę zwłaszcza twórczość Baudelaire’a i Mallarmégo. Pierwszy z nich, uważany za prekursora symbolizmu, stosował prozodię, co można zaobserwować w jego twórczości łączącej różne sztuki i wykorzystującej tematy muzyczne do budowania metaforycznych ujęć malarstwa i poezji. Natomiast poezja Mallarmégo zbliża się do muzyki na poziomie formy. Wykorzystanie akustycznego aspektu tekstu, charakterystyczne dla poezji Verlaine, przechodzi przez sztuczny system instrumentacji słownej René Ghila. Z kolei, utwory Villiers de l’Isle Adama i Jules Laforgue’a pokazują, że tematy muzyczne są stopniowo marginalizowane, co otwiera drogę do milczenia. To zupełna cisza, która w najlepszy sposób przedstawia ideał muzyczności Mallarmégo jako cichy koncert, rozbrzmiewający w umyśle czytelnika.

In the article we describe an enhancement to the Demand for Labour (DL) survey con- ducted by Statistics Poland, which involves the inclusion of skills obtained from online job advertisements. The main goal is to provide estimates of the demand for skills (competences), which is missing in the DL survey. To achieve this, we apply a data integration approach com- bining traditional calibration with the LASSO-assisted approach to correct coverage and selec- tion error in the online data. Faced with the lack of access to unit-level data from the DL survey, we use estimated population totals and propose a bootstrap approach that accounts for the un- certainty of totals reported by Statistics Poland. We show that the calibration estimator assisted with LASSO outperforms traditional calibration in terms of standard errors and reduces rep- resentation bias in skills observed in online job ads. Our empirical results show that online data significantly overestimate interpersonal, managerial and self-organization skills while un- derestimating technical and physical skills. This is mainly due to the under-representation of occupations categorised as Craft and Related Trades Workers and Plant and Machine Operators and Assemblers.

L'article propose d'analyser, dans une optique comparatiste, les objectifs et les spécificités de la caricature graphique d'Honoré Daumier et de la caricature littéraire de Villiers de l'Isle-Adam. Par son projet de vengeance satirique sur les bourgeois, Villiers de l'Isle-Adam se réclame de la méthode de Daumier, fondée sur l'ironie, et envisage de dépasser le dessinateur. Dans la présentation de l'univers bourgeois et des milieux choisis (journalistique, artistique) le dessinateur et l'écrivain élaborent leurs propres façons d'exploiter les ressources de la caricature. Tout en dénonçant les vices de la société, Daumier propose un type particulier de comique (dans lequel la légende joue un rôle secondaire) et développe l'aspect ludique de son art, tandis que Villiers se concentre sur la raillerie violente, même si sa caricature relève souvent de l'ambiguïté. Érigée en genre littéraire, la caricature villiérienne relie le portrait déformé à la caricature langagière et celle de situation, en élargissant ainsi les sens véhiculés par le dessin de Daumier.

L’article analyse les écrits critiques (réunis dans Nos Maîtres) et les textes littéraires de Teodor de Wyzewa, en fonction de son attitude à l’égard de ceux qu’il considérait comme ses maîtres. L’évolution de la pensée de Wyzewa démontre que cet adepte du wagnérisme s’est progressivement éloigné de ceux qui l’ont influencé, en remplaçant une approche intellectuelle de l’art et la foi aveugle dans la science, jugée vaine, par un idéal à la fois esthétique et éthique. Dans le roman Valbert ou les Récits d’un jeune homme Wyzewa décrit un détachement de l’idéalisme aliénant au profit d’une attitude spontanée face à la vie. Sa relecture des paraboles bibliques met en question la philosophie schopenhauerienne au profit du tolstoïsme (Contes chrétiens). La quête des valeurs morales entraîne une rupture avec la pensée symboliste en faveur d’une religion de l’amour et de la beauté. En formulant son propre enseignement Wyzewa a donc dépassé l’autorité de ses maîtres, sans pourtant amoindrir leur importance pour toute sa génération.

The charism of the congregation expresses some selected and implemented aspect of the mystery of Christ and the life of the Church, and its specificity is the determinant of the identity of the institute. From it follows a specific pattern of relationship with God and with the environment, the characteristics of spirituality, various forms of the practice of the evangelical counsels, business forms and certificates of members, leading to the formation of a particular tradition. An important dimension in the formation and development of religious congregations are the socio-cultural conditions. In business meetings is visible specific aspect resulting from its own charisma, but its implementation are multiple activities forming an integral approach to the needs of people and the environment. Thanks to the dynamics of dialogue educational activities, organizational and social formed in the nineteenth/twentieth century in Poland, active congregations today continues and is still valid.

The article presents the results of the research on the influence of heat treatment conditions on corrosion resistance of newly developed HSLA-type (High Strength Low Alloy) steel in selected corrosive environments. Laboratory tests were carried out with using a salt spray chamber, enabling the continuous spraying of brine mist (5% NaCl) during 96 h under high humidity conditions. Additionally, as part of corrosion experiments, tests were carried out using the gravimetric method, in which the intensity of corrosive processes was measured by the linear corrosion rate. The research conducted revealed that the best corrosion resistance was noted for steel with a high-temperature tempered martensite microstructure. Investigated 0.28C–1.4Mn–0.3Si–0.26Cr steel with Nb, Ti, and V microadditions can be used in offshore drilling constructions and production platforms exposed to salts present in sea water, chlorides, sulfates, carbonates, and bromides, among others.

L’article analyse la notion polysémique de vanité dans la pensée et dans l’œuvre de Mallarmé. Le concept dévoile les paradoxes de la création mallarméenne : le poète jugé obscur et accusé de vanité, était déchiré entre le rêve de gloire et l’autodévalorisation. C’est dans l’Art auto-réflexif par excellence qu’il projetait sa satisfaction d’artiste et trouvait un sens de la vie. Mais ayant vécu une crise spirituelle et découvert la vanité du langage, Mallarmé a choisi de prolonger une illusion de la littérature en trouvant dans le Néant les ressources de sa poésie. À force de « creuser le vers », il construit donc une poétique de la vanité qui reste synonyme d’inanité ou de vide où le sens des mots est relayé par la sonorité du langage. En plus, tout en luttant contre la stérilité poétique, à travers l’écriture des Vanités, Mallarmé s’immerge dans la mort afin de créer un « tombeau idéal » pour son fils disparu.

This work presents the results of phase transformation kinetics during continuous cooling in newly developed high strength low-alloy steel (HSLA). Initial theoretical calculations for the determination of heat treatment parameters were conducted. To determine the structural constituents formed due to the austenite decomposition the dilatometry approach was used. The material was cooled down from the austenitization temperature of 1000 °C with cooling rates between 0.1 °C/s to 60 °C/s. Then, light and scanning electron microscopy investigations were carried out. The microstructure after cooling at rates between 0.1 °C/s up to 1 °C/s is mainly ferritic with some fraction of granular bainite. Increasing the cooling rate led to formation of a higher fraction of bainitic ferrite. At 60 °C/s the microstructure was mainly bainite with some fraction of ferrite. To determine the presence of retained austenite, color etching using Klemm solution was used. The results show that the increase of cooling rate decreases the amount of retained austenite in the microstructure of the steel. Hardness measurements were made to determine the changes in the mechanical properties as a function of the cooling rate.
