ブラックチョコレート作製におけるより好ましいカカオバター量の割合や適切なヤシ油の添加割合を検討した.カカオバター量を調製した6条件(30.3から49.2%),およびヤシ油を添加した2条件(0.5%,1.0%)に対し粘度,破断エネルギ,色差の物理的測定と官能検査を行った.物理的測定の結果はカカオバター量の割合により大きく変化し,色彩に対する官能検査ではカカオバター量割合37.0%の試料が他と比較して有意に好まれた.口どけ,歯応えに対する官能試験の結果に顕著な差はみられなかったが,37.0%の試料が比較的好まれる傾向を示した.以上の結果を踏まえてカカオバター量割合37.0%の試料を基準にヤシ油の添加割合を変えて試料を試作した.ヤシ油添加試料の口どけ,歯応えに対する官能検査の結果に有意差はみられなかったが,口どけは添加量が多いほど好まれる傾向がみられた.色彩はヤシ油を添加した試料の方が有意に好まれた.以上より,ヤシ油はカカオバターの代用油脂となるだけではなく,0.5から1.0%程度添加することでチョコレートの食感を向上させ得ることが示唆された., In order to investigate suitable percentage of cacao butter and palm oil contents in a black chocolate, its physicalproperties such as viscosity, braking energy and color differences with various cacao butter contents were measuredand evaluated. High concentration barium sulfate has been developed and used in mass screening for gastric cancer. However, high concentration barium sulfate flows out from the stomach faster than moderate concentration one, which often interferes with diagnosis. The speed of flow is seemed to depend on the viscosity of barium sulfate. Previously, the authors reported viscosity changes of high concentration barium sulfate with pH and temperature changes. In this study, it is examined that the viscosity of barium sulfate also changes with artificial gastric juice volume. The results indicate that the viscosity of high concentration barium sulfate is more stable than that of moderate concentration one and the image of gastric phantom with high concentration barium sulfate is evaluated to be better than that with moderate concentration one. The study on characteristics of barium sulfate may improve radiography technology in mass screening for gastric cancer., 高濃度硫酸バリウム製剤は胃がん検診のために開発され,広く利用されている。しかし,胃外への流出が早く,診断の妨げになることがある。この流出速度は,硫酸バリウム製剤の粘度に依存すると考えられる。著者らは,以前,人工胃液のpHや温度変化に対する高濃度硫酸バリウム製剤の粘度変化を報告した。本研究では,人工胃液量の変化に伴う硫酸バリウム製剤の粘度変化を調べ,高濃度硫酸バリウム製剤の粘度が安定し,その製剤を用いた胃ファントム画像も良好であることを確認した。このような硫酸バリウム製剤の検討は,胃がん検診技術の向上に寄与すると考えられる。

Thermophysical properties of four rare earth elements, namely Lanthanum (La), Praseodymium (Pr), Neodymium (Nd), and Terbium (Tb) have been measured using electrostatic levitation techniques. The understanding of the nature and behavior of rare earth metals in their liquid phases requires accurate values of their physical properties. However, keeping samples in their liquid phases free from contamination long enough to carry out measurements represents a formidable challenge. This is due to high reactivity and melts contamination of these elements with crucibles or gaseous environment. The use of an electrostatic levitator in vacuum conditions circumvents these difficulties and permits the measurements of the density, the surface tension, and the viscosity of these metals above and below their melting temperature. Nowadays mass screening for gastric cancer is popularized in Japan. In the screening, gastric radiography is carried out using contrast medium, usually barium sulfate. Recently, high concentration barium sulfate has been developed and used in several medical facilities. However, high concentration barium sulfate flows out from the stomach faster than moderate concentration one used in the past, which happens to interfere with diagnosis. The flow rate is considered to depend on the viscosity of barium sulfate which changes based on gastric pH and temperature. In this study, viscosity changes of barium sulfate with pH and temperature changes are examined on two types of high concentration one, 185B barium and 200C barium, and one type of moderate concentration one, 145A barium. The radiographs of gastric phantom applied with three types of barium sulfate are also tested in several conditions of pH and temperature. The results indicate that 185B barium is the best among three types for gastric radiography. The study on characteristics of barium sulfate may improve radiography technology in mass screening for gastric cancer., わが国で一般的に行われている胃がん検診では,造影剤として硫酸バリウム製剤が用いられる。近年,高濃度硫酸バリウム製剤が開発され,それを利用する施設が増えている。高濃度硫酸バリウム製剤は胃粘膜への付着性が良く有効性の報告があるが,一方では胃の外への流出が早く,十二指腸へ流れ出た場合は胃と重なり診断の妨げになることがある。本研究では,硫酸バリウムの流出は粘度に関係すると予測し,2種類の高濃度硫酸バリウムと従来から使用されている中濃度硫酸バリウムについて,温度と人工胃液 (HCl) のpHを変化させた時の粘度変化を比較分析した。また,これら硫酸バリウム製剤を適用した胃ファントムを撮影し,画質の視覚評価も行った。その結果,高濃度硫酸バリウム185w/v%製剤はpHと温度の影響を受けにくく,粘度と画質が安定していることがわかった。硫酸バリウム製剤の特徴を分析することにより,胃撮影技術向上に貢献できると期待される。

The effect of concentration （2 - 9% w/w）of potato and corn starch and addition ofmilk on texture and viscosity of the resulting gels was comparatively examined.The results were as follows: （1）The hardness of the corn starch gels was found tobe greater than that of the potato starch gels in a concentration range of 6 - 9%, andthe hardness of both gels consisted of 2 - 9 % starch was less than 5×10 N/m conforming to the standard stipulated for universal design food by Ministry ofHealth, Labor and Welfare. （2）The potato starch gels were greater in cohesivenessand viscosity but lower in hardness and adhesiveness comparing with the cornstarch gels in 6 - 9% range. In contrast to the potato starch gels, hardness andadhesiveness of the corn starch gels markedly increased with increase of the starchconcentration. （3）Addition of milk resulted in increases of hardness and viscosityin both gels and furthermore increases of adhesiveness were observed in the potato gels. In conclusion, the present study showed that the physical properties of starchgel varied with a kind of starch, by its concentration and by addition of milk,suggesting that by appropriate combination of these three factors one can producestarch gels with desirable properties as a food for the elderly.

日本で着物を染色する方法には、友禅染、絞り染、藍染、蝋染などがある。このうち最も広く使われる染色方法は友禅染であり、その中でも京都で染色された着物は特に「京友禅染」と呼ばれ、伝統的工芸品に指定されている。京友禅染は、10工程から構成される。第1工程は、「下絵」である。下絵は、高い芸術性を持った意匠や図柄を絹布に描く工程である。第2工程は「糊置」である。糊置は、下絵に描かれた図柄の線に沿って忠実に防染糊を置く工程であり、糊の外側と内側に異なった色を用いて染色した場合、お互いの色が混ざらないために行われる。和装産業界では、糊置の出来栄えはその後の工程に大きな影響を及ぼすといわれている。糊置に用いられる材料のほとんどは、でんぷん糊とゴム糊である。でんぷん糊はゴム糊よりも粘度が高い。でんぷん糊を用いて作製される着物はゴム糊を用いて作製される着物よりも、「はんなり」として良い出来栄えであると評価され、高価であると認識される。はんなりは京都の方言であり、やわらかさや上品な様を表す言葉として使われる。糊置工程に関する研究や糊置の出来栄えが着物の評価に及ぼす影響についての報告は、未だにされていない。 一方、和装産業界では、ライフスタイルの変化とともに着物の生産数が減少しており、職人数も減少している。職人技術の伝承が困難になりつつある。特に糊置工程は、他の工程に比べて地味な工程であるため、志望者が少なく、職人技術の継承が困難である。すべての糊置職人はゴム糊を扱うことができる。一方では、一部の糊置職人しかでんぷん糊を扱うことができない。したがって、でんぷん糊を用いた着物の生産数は限られる。もしもゴム糊だけが使われるならば、はんなりした良い着物は作られず、着物の品質は低下する。糊置の代わりに「型紙」が使われるならば、数多くの多彩な図柄は用いられない。消費者が品質のよい着物を求めているのにもかかわらず、和装産業界は、消費者の需要を満たすことができない。 そこで本論文の目的は、でんぷん糊とゴム糊が染色に及ぼす影響と、でんぷん糊とゴム糊を用いて染色された着物によって与えられる印象の違いの原因を明らかにすることとした。本研究の成果は、糊置技術の伝承が不可能になった場合においても、でんぷん糊と同じ防染効果を発揮する他の材料の開発につながり、品質のよい着物の生産を可能とするために、非常に重要な研究と考えている。 本論文は、第1章の緒論から第6章の結論までの6章構成である。以下に第2章以降の目的と内容について簡潔に記述する。 第2章では、でんぷん糊とゴム糊を使って染色された着物の印象評価を目的に、京都の方言で「やわらかさ」や「上品さ」という意味で使われる、京友禅染の着物を評価する「はんなり」という言葉と、6つの感性評価項目（シャープさ、上品さ、明るさ、温かさ、豊かさ、深み）を使って、アンケート調査を行い、5件法で回答を求めた。その結果、従事形態別、男女別、従事者の経験年数別にかかわらず、でんぷん糊はゴム糊に比べて、はんなり、上品さ、温かさ、豊かさ、深みの項目が高く、ゴム糊はでんぷん糊に比べて、シャープさ、明るさの項目が高くなった。染色する際、ゴム糊ではなくでんぷん糊を用いることで、よりはんなりした着物に仕上がることが明らかとなった。 第3章では、でんぷん糊とゴム糊との作業効率を検討した。でんぷん糊とゴム糊を使って糊置を行なう作業時間を計測するとともに、糊置の動作解析を行なった。その結果、でんぷん糊はゴム糊よりも作業時間がかかり、でんぷん糊は使われると、糊置の速度は一定ではないことが明らかになった。でんぷん糊は、ゴム糊に比べて、糊置を行う時間がかかり、でんぷん糊の扱いは難しいことが示唆された。 第4章では、でんぷん糊とゴム糊の防染効果の差が京友禅染に及ぼす影響の解明を目的に、でんぷん糊とゴム糊の粘度の違いを明らかにするとともに、でんぷん糊およびゴム糊を用いて染色された製品の断面を観察し、でんぷん糊およびゴム糊の繊維への浸透性を評価した。その結果、でんぷん糊はゴム糊よりも約30倍高い粘度を持つことが明らかになった。断面観察の結果、でんぷん糊はゴム糊よりも繊維束に浸透せず、防染力は弱いことが明らかになった。さらに、表面画像を二値化した画像解析の結果、染色された箇所とでんぷん糊によって防染された箇所の境界は、ゴム糊によって防染された箇所の境界に比べて、約8倍ばらついていることが明らかになった。でんぷん糊とゴム糊の防染糊が除去後の跡と、地色として染色されている箇所の境界のばらつき度合いの差が、着物の印象評価の差に影響を与えていることが示唆された。 第5章では、でんぷん糊とゴム糊を用いて染色された着物によって与えられる印象の差異を明らかにするために、印象評価アンケートを実施した。でんぷん糊とゴム糊が売価に及ぼす影響を明らかにするために、価格評価アンケートを実施した。さらに、印象評価と価格設定の関係を明らかにするために、統計を用いた解析を行った。因子分析の結果、「上質感」と「鮮明感」に分類することができた。でんぷん糊は上質感得点が高かった。一方、ゴム糊は鮮明感得点が高かった。価格設定の評価の結果、でんぷん糊はゴム糊よりも高い価格に設定されることが明らかになった。さらに、価格を決定する要因は、でんぷん糊の上質感であることが明らかになった。 第6章では、本研究で得られた知見をまとめ、今後の展望について述べた。

Secular obliquity variations due to climate friction on Mars are calculated. Martian interior is considered to be a three-layered structure. A viscosity of each layer is treated as a parameter. The results give knowledge as follows. The liquid jet into air has been investigated in various fields, including bubble jet printer and polymer extrusion. A simple, fundamental experiment was made. The round jet shows the random nature of breakdown. The square jet shows a twisting and early breakdown. When air is introduced into the center of a round jet, the breakdown becomes less random. The viscosity and thermal diffusivity of In(x)Ga(1-x)As with various compositions has been measured up to 1,500 K. The double crucible method and its availabilities to measure the high vaporizing materials on both measurement could be verified. The thermophysical data of In(x)Ga(1-x)As (x = 0.3, 0.5, and 0.8) could be obtained for the first time. The temperature dependence of viscosity of molten In(0.8)Ga(0.2)As was expressed as eta(T) = 0.213 exp(1.85 x 10(exp 3)/T) (mPa s) by an oscillating cup method. NASDAでは、微小重力環境下においてライフサイエンス系の実験に当たり、液体中に混入、あるいは発生した気泡を除去する技術の開発を進めている。溶液からの気泡除去には膜分離技術を、気泡移動には新しいエネルギー源として超音波駆動法を取り上げた。ここでは、超音波駆動法による気泡移動実験(航空機使用)の結果について報告する。実験結果の概要は次の通りである。(1)溶液中の気泡は超音波の伝播する方向に安定して低出力で移動できることを確認した。(2)超音波密度、気泡移動速度および溶液粘性の相関に関する知見を得た。, National Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA) is carrying out the technology development to remove bubbles from the mixture, where bubbles are mixed with liquids or generated in liquids of the life science experiments under the microgravity condition. The membrane separation technique was selected for removing bubbles from liquids and ultrasonic wave driving method with one of novel energy sources for moving bubbles in liquids. In this paper, the results of the bubble moving experiments (using aircraft) by the ultrasonic wave driving method were reported. Our studies on the viscosity of macromolecular polysaccharides such as plant gum or plant mucilage relating to the industrial utilization of polyphosphates are interesting. Following these studies for gum tragacanth and C.M.C., now the similar studis for locust bean mucilage (gum), also known as carob bean gum were carried out using Stormer type rotational viscosimeter. Furthermore, instead of the previous measurements on the viscosity of ca. 3% aqueous solution with the viscosimeter of the falling ball type, the present measurements on that of ca. 1.5% aqueous gum tragacanth solution with rotational viscosimeter are also canied out. The results obtained may be summarized in the following: (I) Effects of 5 sorts of polyphosphates such as sodium pyrophosphate, sodium tripoly phosphate, sodium hexametaphosphate and their mixtures on the about 1.0--1.5% aqueous solution of locust bean gum as one of plant mucilage and on the about 3% aqueous solution of gum tragacanth as one of plant gum are studied and the considerable increase of their viscosity are observed. (II) In both cases, each curve relating the viscosity-quantities added has maximum and the orders for the increassing effect with these polyphosphates resembled each other. (III) It appears that this increasing of the viscosity will be partly ascribed to the increased formation of aggregation of the linear negative ions and may be partly based on the untwisting of somewhat kinked linear macromolecule having many hydroxyl groups probably caused by the adsorption of these polyphosphate ions kindred with that group., 浅岡が従来行って来ている重合燐酸塩の利用に関連した多くの研究のうちで発表済のものは若千に過ぎない。しかしその中に高分子物質水溶液の粘度に対する添加物の影響の研究としてトラガントゴム水溶液についての報告があるので，ゴム類ではないが或意味ではこれと類似とも云える植物粘質物であるローカストゴムについて同様の実験を行ったものである。このローカストゴムは食品，化粧品，繊維加工，製紙，医薬用ゼリーなどの方面の用途が知られているので，これに対する添加物効果はその利用面からも主要である。更に既報ではトラガントゴム水溶液の粘度測定が落球式であったので，今回はローカストゴム水溶液と同じく回転粘度計によって測定可能の粘度まで低下させるために，前の約半分の濃度である約3%にして同種の実験を行ったものである。

ガスケットは、静止固体面間における隙間の漏れを防ぐために、機械装置から生活用品の静的シールとして広く使用されている。液体の漏れは、隙間の高さの3乗に比例することから、基本的には隙間を狭める方策が採られる。通常、材料の弾性および塑性変形を用いることで防止される。その場合、しばしばクランプ力を増加させるが、過度のクランプ力は、表面の損傷を引き起こす可能性が高い。さらに、固体表面に存在する粗さやうねりのため、隙間を完全に埋めることは不可能である。一方で、液体の物性値に着目すると、温度が低いほど粘度が高くなる。漏れは液体の粘度に反比例する。よって、漏れの流路の温度を制御することで、漏れを抑え、ガスケットのシール性能を一段と高める可能性が考えられる。本研究では、その可能性を熱流体潤滑理論に基づく数値モデルとふたつの金属円板で構成させたフランジ・ガスケットのモデルによる実験により検証した。本論文は、全体で8章で構成される。第1章は序論である。静的および動的シールに関する概要をまとめ、数学モデルの基礎となる流体潤滑理論ならびに液体の粘度特性を概観し、ガスケットを中心に従来の研究のレビューならびに本研究の位置づけを述べている。第2章は理論モデルである。本数学モデルの基礎となる、熱流体潤滑理論に基づき、レイノルズ方程式、エネルギー方程式、熱伝導方程式などの基礎方程式ならびに圧力と温度の境界条件を導出している。また、等粘度理論との比較、数値計算方法、圧力や温度分布を示している。第3章は実験装置と方法である。2枚の金属製円板によるフランジ・ガスケットのモデルを述べている。ペルチェモジュールにより、その円板を冷却・加熱することにより、隙間を流れる液体の粘度を制御する装置の構成を示し、加圧や加振なども含めて、実験および計測の方法について述べている。第4章は定常状態下における実験結果である。隙間、供給圧力、シール面寸法、潤滑油の粘度グレード、隙間の傾斜の影響などについて述べている。第5章は加振条件下における実験結果である。加振条件の実験や計測の方法、加振の周波数や振幅に関する実験結果に加えて、振動条件下における傾斜隙間の計算結果などを述べている。第6章は湾曲したシール面の場合の数値結果である。理論計算により、凹凸面を呈する、温度制御されたシール面が漏れに及ぼす影響について述べている。第7章は実際のフランジガスケットを模擬した実験結果である。JIS規格のフランジにペルチェモジュールを装着し、シール面を垂直方向に設置し、加圧した潤滑油を供給する条件において、ガスケットを冷却することで漏れの効果を検証している。第8章は本論文の結論である。定常状態下はもとより、振動、寸法、潤滑油種、隙間形状、設置方法等によらず、フランジガスケットのシール面を冷却・加熱することにより、漏れを制御することができることを理論と実験の両面により検証することができたこと、ならびにその有効性や発展性を述べている。, Gaskets are widely used as static seals in industry, machinery, and living ware for preventing leakage between the static solid surfaces. Since leakage of fluid is proportional to the cube of gap height, the basic method for preventing leakage is taken to narrow the gap. Generally, leakage is decreased by using elastic and plastic deformation of material, which caused by the increased clamping force. However, excessive clamping force may lead to surface damage. Moreover, it is impossible to fill the gap completely because of the rough nature and waviness of the solid surfaces of gasket. On the other hand, according to the liquid physical characteristics in viscosity, leakage is inversely proportional to the lubricant viscosity, as lower temperatures correspond to higher viscosities. Therefore, it is possible to control the leakage by changing the temperature of sealing flanges to enhance the sealing performance of gasket further. In this dissertation, the possibility was confirmed by using the mathematical model based on the thermo-hydrodynamic lubrication theory (THL) and iso-viscous (IV) theory, and experiments with a flange-type gasket which composed of two metal disks. The dissertation consists of eight chapters in total. Chapter 1 is the introduction. It summarizes the outline of static and dynamic sealing, the overview of fluid lubrication theory and liquid viscosity characteristics that form the basics of mathematical models were shown. And it reviewed plenty of conventional studies focusing on gaskets, and described the position of this research. Chapter 2 is the theoretical model. The mathematical model is based on the thermo-hydrodynamic lubrication theory, the basic differential equations such as the Reynolds equation, the energy equation, and the heat conduction equation, as well as the boundary conditions of pressure and temperature are derived. The theoretical solution by using the THL theory was compared with the IV theory, the numerical calculation procedure, and the pressure and temperature distribution were shown. Chapter 3 is the experimental apparatus and method. The flange-type gasket model consists of two metal disks was depicted. The configuration of the experimental devices that controls the viscosity of the liquid flowing through the gap by cooling and heating the disk from the Peltier module was shown, and the experimental and measurement methods including pressurization and vibration were also described. Chapter 4 is the experimental results under steady-state condition. The effect of the gap height, supply pressure, sealing land size, oil viscosity grade, and gap parallelism on leakage of flow were described. Chapter 5 is the experimental results under the vibration condition. The experimental and measurement methods of the vibration conditions and the experimental results on the vibration frequency and amplitude, including the theoretical solutions of the inclined gap with vibrations were described. Chapter 6 is the numerical results for the curved sealing surface of flange. The effect of temperature-controlled sealing flange with uneven surfaces on leakage was solved by iteration calculation based on the THL theory. Chapter 7 is the experimental results simulating an actual flange-type gasket. The Peltier module was mounted on the JIS standard flange and the sealing surfaces were installed vertically. The leakage–restrain phenomenon was verified by cooling the gasket flanges under the condition of supplying bolt preload torque and pressurized lubricating oil. Chapter 8 is the conclusion of this dissertation. The leakage can be controlled by cooling and heating the sealing surface of the flange-type gasket regardless of vibration, sealing land size, oil viscosity grade, gap height, installation direction, etc., as well as under steady-state conditions.
