Glucosamine (GlcN) is a common drug used to treat osteoarthritis (OA). To prolong the action time of glucosamine on OA and improve its therapeutic effect, this research explored the potential application of GlcN-loaded thermosensitive hydrogels based on poloxamer 407 and poloxamer 188 for OA therapy by intra-articular injection. The thermosensitive hydrogels were prepared by cold method, and the effects of P407, P188, and GlcN on sol-gel transition temperature (T sol-gel ) were compared. After screening was performed, the optimized formulation showed good temperature sensitivity, and T sol-gel was approximately 35 °C. In vitro release tests showed that GlcN was slowly released from the thermosensitive hydrogels. After the gels were intra-articularly administered to treat OA in rabbits, the degree of swelling and inflammatory factors were significantly decreased in the hydrogel group compared with those in the OA model group (P < 0.05). Histological results showed that the GlcN-administered group had a good repair effect on damaged cartilage. At the same dose, the effect of the thermosensitive hydrogels was better than that of the aqueous solution. Therefore, GlcN-loaded thermosensitive hydrogels based on poloxamers are promising sustainable delivery systems for OA therapy by intra-articular injection., (Copyright © 2020. Background: Clinical named entity recognition is the basic task of mining electronic medical records text, which are with some challenges containing the language features of Chinese electronic medical records text with many compound entities, serious missing sentence components, and unclear entity boundary. Moreover, the corpus of Chinese electronic medical records is difficult to obtain., Methods: Aiming at these characteristics of Chinese electronic medical records, this study proposed a Chinese clinical entity recognition model based on deep learning pretraining. The model used word embedding from domain corpus and fine-tuning of entity recognition model pretrained by relevant corpus. Then BiLSTM and Transformer are, respectively, used as feature extractors to identify four types of clinical entities including diseases, symptoms, drugs, and operations from the text of Chinese electronic medical records., Results: 75.06% Macro- P , 76.40% Macro- R, and 75.72% Macro- F 1 aiming at test dataset could be achieved. Background: The objective of this retrospective study was to evaluate the prognostic value of various factors in clear cell sarcoma patients after radical surgery., Methods: Forty-two clear cell sarcoma patients from August 2006 to March 2018 were included in the study. Curves of disease-free survival and overall survival were calculated using the Kaplan-Meier method, and univariate and multivariate analyses of various prognostic factors were performed using a Cox proportional hazard regression model. Laboratory test of peripheral blood was recorded before surgery. The optimal cutoff value of systemic inflammatory markers was defined by receiver-operating curve analysis., Results: The 5-year DFS and 5-year OS rate were 22% and 46%, respectively. The median DFS and OS times were 12 and 41.5 months, respectively. In univariate analysis, there was a significant association between shorter DFS and tumor size larger than 5 cm (p = 0.0043), positive surgical margin (p = 0.0233), and the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) higher than 2.73 (p = 0.0009). Furthermore, we observed a significant association between shorter OS and tumor size larger than 5 cm (p = 0.0075), positive surgical margin (p = 0.0101), NLR higher than 2.73 (p = 0.0126), the platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) higher than 103.89 (p = 0.0147) and the lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR) lower than 4.2 (p = 0.0445). A multivariate analysis demonstrated that the surgical margin (p = 0.013) and NLR (p = 0.001) were significantly associated with DFS. Tumor size (p = 0.010) and NLR (p = 0.013) were independent prognostic factors for OS., Conclusions: This study had the second largest sample around the world and preoperative NLR may be a useful prognostic factor in CCS patients after radical surgery.

Density functional theory calculations are carried out to study the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) at the electrochemical double-layer interface of monolayer 2H phase VS 2 and water. Under typical conditions of HER, the catalyst surface is predicted to have a low hydrogen coverage of about 12%, whereas the aqueous solution side features a high hydronium concentration of about 8.3%. As a result, the HER takes place through the Volmer-Heyrovsky route, with an overall reaction barrier of about 1.0 eV, much larger than that of 1T phase VS 2 . This result demonstrates that 2H phase VS 2 is much less reactive than its 1T phase counterpart, and the 1T-to-2H phase transformation induced by thickness reduction may deteriorate the HER activity of VS 2 .

Objective: To investigate the detection rate and correlates of behavioral problems among eco-migrant children in Hui and Han ethnicities., Methods: Using multistage randomized sampling method, 2 653 eco-migrant teenagers, 3 174 indigenous and 2 334 homeland peers were selected. Their parents were asked to finish the Achenbach's Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL) and a self-developed correlates questionnaire., Results: 765 eco-migrant children with behavioral problems were detected, with detection rate as 28.8%, higher than that of homeland group (24.2%) and native group (19.3%) (χ(2) = 73.547, P < 0.012 5). Ecological migration mainly influenced factors as bad contacts, depression, obsessive-compulsive, discipline, attack for boys aged 6-11, bad contacts for boys aged 12-16 and extraversion behavioral problems for girls aged 12-16, in Hui. These factors both associated to eco-migrant children's behavioral problems in Hui and Han:cesarean section (OR = 1.863, 95% CI:1.144-3.035, for Han) and (OR = 2.979, 95% CI:2.067-4.293, for Hui), physical defects (OR = 1.730, 95%CI:1.087-2.751, for Han) and (OR = 2.552, 95%CI:1.649-3.950, for Hui), arable as a main income way(OR = 1.272, 95%CI:1.066-1.518, for Han) and (OR = 1.212, 95%CI: 1.033-1.422, for Hui), parents' education level above middle school (OR = 0.709, 95% CI: 0.539-0.932, for Han) and (OR = 0.698, 95%CI: 0.542-0.898, for Hui), parents' frequently in good mood (OR = 0.710, 95%CI:0.613-0.821, for Han) and (OR = 0.826, 95%CI:0.718-0.949, for Hui). However, major diseases in the process of growth (OR = 1.794, 95% CI:1.163-2.767), and parents with chronic illness or disability (OR = 1.463, 95% CI:1.061-2.016) only associated with that in Han;single-parent or remarried families(OR = 1.583, 95% CI:1.078-2.325), parents often drinking (OR = 1.557, 95%CI:1.019- 2.379), the time of parents' work longer than half a year (OR = 1.494, 95% CI:1.197-1.864), parents' more content to life now(OR = 0.813, 95% CI:0.700-0.945), and children in older age (OR = 0.939, 95%CI:0.889-0.991) only related to that in Hui., Conclusion: The eco-migrant children showed a low state in mental health, especially among Hui peers, and the correlated factors were different in Han and Hui, which was supposed to get great importance when taking effective intervention.

Background: Dietary disinhibition is a behavioral trait associated with weight gain and obesity. Because food choices are made according to the relative value assigned to each option, examination of valuation signals through functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) may elucidate the neural basis for the association between dietary disinhibition and weight gain., Objective: We examined how food valuation signals differ in the fed and fasted states between persons with high dietary disinhibition (HD) and low dietary disinhibition (LD)., Design: Sixteen men with HD and 14 with LD underwent fMRI once while fasted and once after being fed in a counterbalanced order. In-scanner preference to consume a test food relative to a neutral-tasting, neutral-health reference food was examined. The slope of magnetic resonance signal change corresponding to these food preferences constituted the food valuation signal that was compared across disinhibition group and satiety state., Results: Both the HD and LD participants reported being less hungry (F(1,28) = 113.11, P < 0.001) after being fed than when fasted. However, food valuation signals in the ventromedial prefrontal cortex (vmPFC) differed between the groups (F(1,28) = 21.34, P < 0.001). Although LD participants showed attenuated vmPFC activity after being fed (t(13) = 4.11, P < 0.001), HD participants showed greater vmPFC activity in the fed than in the fasted state (t(15) = -2.56, P < 0.05)., Conclusions: Despite reporting normal decreases in hunger ratings after being fed, persons with HD have an altered neural valuation of food. This may be a mechanism underlying their propensity to overeat and gain weight. This trial was registered at clinicaltrials.gov as NCT00988819.
