Motorola Computer Systems Inc introduces Life (Linked Information Environment) software, interlinked software designed for workgroup computing. Life-Works, a data capture and transaction processing tool, ranges from $2,000 for one to eight users, to $4,500 for up to 32 users. Life-Forms allows for the creation, editing, management, and printing of complex forms, and can be used in conjunction with Life-Lines, an integrated electronic mail system. Price for Life-Forms with Life-Lines is $1,195. Life-Plans is a spreadsheet and graph analysis tool specifically designed to analyze the data from Life-Works and Life-Forms. It is priced at $796. All Life software runs on Motorola's Unix-based System 8000 supermicros, and the second release will be out in the first quarter of 1988.
