El objetivo del trabajo fue establecer las características o variables más relevantes y las distintas formas de presentación del cayado de la vena safena magna (CVSM) teniendo en cuenta su importancia en las técnicas quirúrgicas vasculares de la región, fin de fundamentar las prácticas clínico quirúrgicas en el nordeste argentino. El diseño del presente trabajo es de tipo descriptivo. Se utilizaron piezas cadavéricas adultas de ambos sexos, conservadas en solución de formol al 10%. Implementándose las técnicas clásicas de disección y biometría, con instrumentos convencionales y magnificación óptica de 5x y 10x. Por muestreo aleatorio han sido estudiados 40 miembros inferiores, de los cuales se obtuvieron datos que fueron tabulados, analizados estadísticamente y graneados. La documentación del material empírico hallado se realizó a través de registro fotográfico, panorámico y focalizado. El material registrado corrobora la existencia de las siguientes variedades: Variedad I Clásica (Rouviére):28 piezas (70%). Variedad II (A de Bergman): 4 piezas (10%) con drenaje venoso en fosa oval. Variedad III (I de Bergman presenta una vena safena accesoria: lpiezas (2,5%) Variedad IV (Blanchemaison): cayado en cañón de escopeta, duplicación verdadera de la vena safena mayor 7 piezas (17,5%). A través de este trabajo se logró constatar empíricamente la variabilidad existente en las distintas unidades de análisis, para así fundamentar las prácticas profesionales en nuestro medio. Introduction: The mechanisms that govern fibroblast behavior during the vascular adaptations of the uterus at early pregnancy remain unknown. Anandamide, an endocannabinoid, binds to cannabinoid receptors (CBs), and regulates gestation and angiogenesis. Its tone is regulated by fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH) within the uterus. We investigated the role of anandamide in endometrial fibroblasts migration and whether anandamide modulates fibroblasts-endothelial crosstalk., Methods: T-hESC and EA.hy926 cell lines were used as models of endometrial stromal and endothelial cells, respectively. T-hESC were incubated with anandamide plus different agents. Migration was tested (wound healing assay and phalloidin staining). Protein expression and localization were studied by Western blot and immunofluorescence. To test fibroblast-endothelial crosstalk, EA.hy926 cells were incubated with fibroblast conditioned media obtained after T-hESC migration., Results: Anandamide 1 nM increased T-hESC migration via CB1 and CB2. Cyclooxygenase-2 participated in anandamide-stimulated fibroblast migration. Prostaglandin F2alpha, and not prostaglandin E2, increased fibroblast wound closure. CB1, CB2, cyclooxygenase-2 and FAAH were expressed in T-hESC. Anandamide did not alter cyclooxygenase-2 localization but induced its cytoplasmic and nuclear expression through CB1 and CB2. URB-597, a FAAH selective inhibitor, also increased T-hESC migration via both CBs, and augmented cyclooxygenase-2 expression. Conditioned media from anandamide-induced T-hESC wound healing closure stimulated endothelial migration and did not alter their proliferation. Soluble factors from cyclooxygenase-2 were secreted by T-hESC and participated in T-hESC-induced EA.hy926 migration. A sterile plant culture consisting of culture vessels, culture solution container, collecting flasks for percolating nutrient solution, illumination and aeration systems and a suitable pump is described. Its difference with other culture methods is a very slow, continuous percolation of the nutrient solution through the rooting medium. Well defined and controllable conditions can thus be established in the rhizosphere over long culture periods. Samples can be collected at short intervals without disturbing the rhizosphere in any way nor endangering the sterility of the culture. One of the fundamental factors determining the special ecological characteristics of the plant rhizosphere is the liberation of organic and inorganic substances by the plant root. During the study of this phenomenon it became evident that the amount of substances liberated varies within wide limits (factors 100 to 1000) according to the conditions in which the root is developing.

The exudate production of alfalfa under the conditions of the sterile flow culture was quantitatively measured. In the first 40 days 3.10(-3) mumoles amino-N, 2.5 muequivalents of organic acids and approximately 10(-4) mumoles of reducing sugars were liberated per plant and per day into the percolating nutrient solution. The amino acid concentration in the outflow varies according to a daily periodicity. The exudation of a colored substance also shows daily periodical variations. This pattern is different from the pattern of the amino acid exudation, however, and directly coupled to shoot illumination. Short-term 2,4-dinitrophenol additions to the nutrient lower the liberation of amino acids into the percolating solution.
