451. A HPTLC method for the quantitative determination of Piperine and Capsaicin in Rasam, A South Indian spice soup

Abstract

Rasam is a popular spice soup of South Indian traditional food. Rasam is prepared traditionally by incorporating spcies such as turmeric, coriander, black pepper, garlic, chili pepper, curry leaves, cumin, mustard, and asafoetida in tamarind juice. All ingredients used in the preparation of rasam are known for various medicinal uses which, makes rasam a traditional food with a lot of functional ingredients. There are reports to suggests that a regular chronic consumption of traditional foods with functional ingredients may prevent numerous diseases. There was no scientific literature available on the phytochemical composition of rasam. We, herein aim to estimate the quantity of piperine and capsaicin present in the standardized rasam by HPTLC method. Rasam was prepared as per reported method and the sample solution was prepared by extracting rasam with diethyl ether. The mobile phase used was toluene: ethyl acetate (7:3, v/v). Densitometric scanning was performed in absorption-reflection mode at at 527 nm. Linear range was 1 to 5 μg for both piperine and capsaicin. The amount of piperine and capsaicin from the standardized rasam was found to be 0.234 and 0.335 % w/v respectively. This TLC procedure may be used effectively for identity, quality evaluation as well as quantitative determination for piperine and capsaicin in rasam.

Abstract

In this project we are going to develop a robust automated web application for transacting money in higher level security purpose with high facial recognition. We must first register our personal information using our faces and pass a liveness detection test. For rapid and accurate results, a Haar cascade-based technique was used. Simple face detection from the input image. The image of the face is then transformed to a grayscale image. The iris, eyebrows, nose, and mouth of candidates are then taken from the intensity valleys of the identified face and stored as datasets, allowing our system to determine who is approved and who is not While logging in, our faces will be identified, and if we are approved, we will be able to proceed to the authorised page; otherwise, our system will not allow usto log in. For higher security purpose we have used face recognition module. Our face will be identified throughout the transaction, and only the authorised account holder will be able to transact money; others will not be able to transact money.

Abstract

The research study looked at the effect of transformational leadership on organizational performance among ADNOC human resources in the UAE. The specific objective of the research study was: To assess the correlation between transformational leadership and organizational performance among workers of ADNOC in the UAE. The scientific study utilised exploratory and correlational research designs so as to establish connections among the research study variables employing the quantitative paradigm. The researcher also used the positivism approach in order to navigate through her research process. The independent variable (IV) was transformational leadership and the dependant variable (DV) was organisational performance (OP) among the human resources of ADNOC in the UAE. The target population was 55,000 workers of ADNOC in the UAE. The sample size was 382 participants got utilizing table advanced by Morgan & Kreijcie (1970). The scholar analyzed data employing descriptive statistics such as means, standard deviation and inferential statistics such as Pearson linear correlation coefficient (PLCC). The findings included: Transformational leadership positively predict company performance. Recommendations of the scientific study included: In brief, in order to ameriorate on the organizational performance, the managerial activities should aim at enhancing transformational leadership practices. Leaders should talk optimistically about the future, talk enthusiastically about what needs to be accomplished, articulate a compelling vision of the future, and express confidence that goals can be achieved.

Abstract

Load cell sensors are used to measure the amount of intravenous fluid in the container, whether it is Full or Low with warning status, as part of an automatic intravenous fluid administration and management utilizing IoT saline level monitoring system. The load is detected in analogue format. The LCD display shows the output that was acquired from the sensor. The alert will ring when the saline level falls below a predetermined level. As a result, the flow rate may be managed by the physician both manually and automatically utilising IoT and input sensors installed on patients and visually presented in LabVIEW software.

Abstract

Topological indices are invariant numerical fields of a graph that give facts about the structure of graphs and are found to be very helpful in predicting the physical properties of aluminophosphates. The characteristics of the aluminophosphates are similar to those of zeolites. Two examples of current applications are natural gas dehydration and humidity sensor. New frameworks are being synthesised by researchers in chemistry and materials science. There are many layers and holes in these substances. In this study, Vertex version of distance-based topological indices, the entropy of topological indices and their numerical analysis are explained.

Abstract

It is currently accepted that cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAF) participate in T-cell exclusion from tumor nests. To unbiasedly test this, we used single-cell RNA sequencing coupled with multiplex imaging on a large cohort of lung tumors. We identified four main CAF populations, two of which are associated with T-cell exclusion: (i) MYH11+αSMA+ CAF, which are present in early-stage tumors and form a single cell layer lining cancer aggregates, and (ii) FAP+αSMA+ CAF, which appear in more advanced tumors and organize in patches within the stroma or in multiple layers around tumor nests. Both populations orchestrate a particular structural tissue organization through dense and aligned fiber deposition compared with T cell–permissive CAF. Yet they produce distinct matrix molecules, including collagen IV (MYH11+αSMA+ CAF) and collagen XI/XII (FAP+αSMA+ CAF). Hereby, we uncovered unique molecular programs of CAF driving T-cell marginalization, whose targeting should increase immunotherapy efficacy in patients bearing T cell–excluded tumors.Significance:The cellular and molecular programs driving T-cell marginalization in solid tumors remain unclear. Here, we describe two CAF populations associated with T-cell exclusion in human lung tumors. We demonstrate the importance of pairing molecular and spatial analysis of the tumor microenvironment, a prerequisite to developing new strategies targeting T cell–excluding CAF.See related commentary by Sherman, p. 2501.This article is highlighted in the In This Issue feature, p. 2483

Abstract

Expression of RIPK3 induced activation of MLKL and cell death, which was rescued by treatment with GSK'872. Transduction of M12 cells (C) and M22 cells (D) with lentivirus expressing shMLKL or shGFP and then selected for 72 h with puromycin. Stable cells expressing shMLKL or shGFP were then infected with WPI or WPI expressing RIPK3. Immunoblotting and cell viability were performed after 48 h to detect the activation of MLKL. Expression of RIPK3 induced necroptosis, which was rescued by MLKL knockdown.

Drug sensitivity differences between 12 RIPK3-negative and 3 RIPK3-positive human MM cell lines as assessed by MTS assay. Treatment of MM cell lines with three different doses of doxorubicin. First three bars in each bar graph represent viability of RIPK3-positive (+) MM cell lines, M49, M29 and M217, respectively. The bars shown to the right in each graph represent the viability of each of the 12 RIPK3-negative (-) MM lines. All drug treatments were for 72 h.
