Search

Thanks to the rapidly increasing time-domain facilities, we are entering a golden era of research on gamma-ray bursts (GRBs). In this Letter, we report our observations of GRB 240529A with the Burst Optical Observer and Transient Exploring System, the 1.5-meter telescope at Observatorio Sierra Nevada, the 2.5-meter Wide Field Survey Telescope of China, the Large Binocular Telescope, and the Telescopio Nazionale Galileo. The prompt emission of GRB 240529A shows two comparable energetic episodes separated by a quiescence time of roughly 400 s. Combining all available data on the GRB Coordinates Network, we reveal the simultaneous apparent X-ray plateau and optical re-brightening around $10^3-10^4$ s after the burst. Rather than the energy injection from the magnetar as widely invoked for similar GRBs, the multi-wavelength emissions could be better explained as two shocks launched from the central engine separately. The optical peak time and our numerical modeling suggest that the initial bulk Lorentz factor of the later shock is roughly 50, which indicates that the later jet should be accretion-driven and have a higher mass loading than a typical one. The quiescence time between the two prompt emission episodes may be caused by the transition between different accretion states of a central magnetar or black hole, or the fall-back accretion process. A sample of similar bursts with multiple emission episodes in the prompt phase and sufficient follow-up could help to probe the underlying physics of GRB central engines., Comment: Resubmitted to ApJL after addressing the referee's comments; comments are welcome

Within the framework of nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD), we calculate the fragmentation function for a charm quark into an $S$-wave fully-charmed tetraquark, denoted as $T_{4c}$. The charm-to-$T_{4c}$ fragmentation function is expressed as a sum of products of the perturbatively calculable short-distance coefficients and the nonperturbative long-distance matrix elements (LDMEs). The short-distance coefficients are ascertained through the perturbative matching procedure at lowest order in $\alpha_{s}$ expansion. The LDMEs are approximated using the $T_{4c}$ four-body wave functions at the origin, which have been evaluated by various phenomenological potential models in literature. Incorporating the celebrated QCD factorization and the charm-to-$T_{4c}$ fragmentation function, we predict the $T_{4c}$ production rate at high transverse momentum $p_T$ regime in colliders. %After implementing appropriate kinematic constraints, Both the differential distribution over $p_T$ and the integrated cross sections are predicted at the \texttt{LHC}. The cross sections for $T_{4c}$ states production can reach several femtobarns to several hundreds femtobarns, suggesting a substantial potential for $T_{4c}$ event production at the \texttt{LHC}. Additionally, we estimate for the photoproduction of $T_{4c}$ in electron-proton ($ep$) collisions. It is observed that the cross sections for these processes are moderate at the \texttt{HERA} and \texttt{EIC}, and relatively small at the \texttt{EicC}. Given the luminosities of these colliders, the prospect of detecting these fully-charmed tetraquarks at $ep$ colliders is somewhat challenging., Comment: 22 pages, 2 figures, 4 tables; significant enhancement aligns with the published edition

In 2020, a di-$J/\psi$ resonance centered at around 6.9 $\mathrm{GeV}$ was discovered by the LHCb Collaboration, and was later confirmed by the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations. In addition to the 6.9-$\mathrm{GeV}$ resonance, its low energy counterpart centered at around 6552 $\mathrm{MeV}$ was also observed by the CMS Collaboration. In this paper, we calculate the inclusive decay width of such exotic mesons into light hadrons and into open charms, respectively, assuming them as either genuine tetraquarks or molecules composed of two $J/\psi$'s. Since the spins of these resonances have not yet been experimentally measured, regarding them as S-wave bound states, we consider all possible spin configurations, namely spin-0 and spin-2, that decay exclusively into double $J/\psi$, and find that the ratio ($\mathcal{R}$) of the decay width for the light-hadron final states to that for the charmed final states differs significantly among different spin configurations, which can help to explore the nature of the observed di-$J/\psi$ resonances and fix the mixing angle for the $J^{PC}=0^{++}$ tetraquark.

In this paper, we evaluate, up to QCD next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order, the $B_c^*$ decay constant, which, within the nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) framework, is factorized as the product of the short-distance coefficient (SDC) and the long-distance matrix element. For the first time, the renormalization constant and the anomalous dimension for the NRQCD vector current composed of $c\bar{b}$, which are functions of the charm quark mass $m_c$, the bottom quark mass $m_b$ and the factorization scale $\mu_\Lambda$, are obtained analytically at $\mathcal{O}(\alpha_s^2)$ and $\mathcal{O}(\alpha_s^3)$. The SDC is calculated up to $\mathcal{O}(\alpha_s^3)$ in perturbative expansion. Explicitly, the $\mathcal{O}(\alpha_s^2)$ correction to the SDC is analytically calculated in terms of logarithmic and polylogarithmic functions of $r\equiv m_b/m_c$, and the $\mathcal{O}(\alpha_s^3)$ correction to the SDC is numerically calculated at a series of values of $r$, ranging from $2.1$ to $4.0$. Surprisingly, we find that the nontrivial part of the SDC at $\mathcal{O}(\alpha_s^3)$ can be well estimated by a linear function of $r$. In addition, We find that the $\mathcal{O}(\alpha_s^2)$ and $\mathcal{O}(\alpha_s^3)$ corrections to the decay constant and decay width are considerable and very significant, which indicates a very poor convergence for the perturbative expansion., Comment: 15 pages, 3 figures, 2 tables, a minor typo corrected

As the demand of astronomical observation rising, the telescope systems are becoming more and more complex. Thus, the observatory control software needs to be more intelligent, they have to control each instrument inside the observatory, finish the observation tasks autonomously, and report the information to users if needed. We developed a distributed autonomous observatory control framework named Remote Autonomous Control System 2nd, RACS2 to meet these requirements. The RACS2 framework uses decentralized distributed architecture, instrument control software and system service such as observation control service are implemented as different components. The communication between components is implemented based on a high-performance serialization library and a light-weighted messaging library.The interfaces towards python and Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System (EPICS) are implemented, so the RACS2 framework can communicate with EPICS based device control software and python-based software. Several system components including log, executor, scheduler and other modules are developed to help observation. Observation tasks can be programmed with python language, and the plans are scheduled by the scheduler component to achieve autonomous observation.A set of web service is implemented based on the FastAPI framework, with which user can control and manage the framework remotely.Based on the RACS2 framework, we have implemented the DATs telescope's observation system and the space object observation system.We performed remote autonomous observation and received many data with these systems., Comment: 22 pages, 16 figures

In this work, we study the exclusive decay of $\Upsilon$ into $J/\psi$ in association with $\eta_c$ ($\chi_{c0,1,2}$). The decay widths for different helicity configurations are evaluated up to QCD next-to-leading order within the nonrelativistic QCD framework. We find that the QCD corrections notably mitigate the renormalization scale dependence of the decay widths for all the processes. The branching fraction of $\Upsilon\rightarrow J/\psi+\chi_{c1}$ is obtained as $3.73^{+5.10+0.10}_{-2.06-1.19}\times 10^{-6}$, which agrees well with the Belle measurement, i.e., ${\rm Br}(\Upsilon\rightarrow J/\psi+\chi_{c1})=(3.90\pm1.21\pm0.23)\times10^{-6}$. For the other processes, our results of the branching fractions are compatible with the upper limits given by the Belle experiments, except for $\Upsilon(2S)\to J/\psi +\chi_{c1}$, where some tension exists between theory and experiment. Having the polarized decay widths, we study the $J/\psi$ polarization, which turn out to be independent of any nonperturbative parameters. Motivated to explore the dynamical mechanism of multi-fragmentation phase transition and expand our knowledge on the deterministic chaos in nonlinear dynamic process, we study systematically the nonlinear dynamical behaviors of heavy ion collisions at intermediate energy. In order to highlight the general characteristics of the collision dynamics, in the present paper, we simulate a simple collision system, $Ca+Ca$, and obverse the performances of the typical nonlinear characteristic quantities such as the production of generalized entropy and the fractal structure of the semiclassical phase space during the reaction process. The multifragmentation entropy, information dimension and the dynamical fluctuations of fragment mass distribution in the final state of the reaction are also evaluated. Our results about the intermediate processes and the final products of the reaction are verified mutually so that confirm strongly the existence of nonlinear chaos in the heavy ion collisions at intermediate energy. Meanwhile, we find that the typical characteristics of the critical phase transition obtained in the analysis of the final production of the reaction are relatively more clear in the vicinity of the incident energies $E=100 MeV$., Comment: Nuclear Physics A

The $\eta_c$ meson leptoproduction is calculated within the nonrelativistic QCD framework for the first time. It is found that the colour-singlet channel, although suppressed by a factor of $\alpha_s$ relative to the colour-octet ones, provides the most important contribution for almost all the experimental conditions, which disagrees with some of the expectations before computation. We present the differential cross sections with respect to $p_t^2$, $p_t^{\star2}$, $Q^2$, $W$, and $z$, for both HERA and EIC experimental conditions as a reference for future studies. The scale dependence and long-distance-matrix-element dependence are also investigated in this paper.

Within the framework of nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization, we calculate the next-to-leading-order (NLO) perturbative corrections to the radiative decay $\Upsilon\to \eta_c(\chi_{cJ})+\gamma$. Both the helicity amplitudes and the helicity decay widths are obtained. It is the first computation for the processes involving both bottomonium and charmonium at two-loop accuracy. By employing the Cheng-Wu theorem, we are able to convert most of complex-valued master integrals (MIs) into real-valued MIs, which makes the numerical integration much efficient. Our results indicate the $\mathcal{O}(\alpha_s)$ corrections are moderate for $\eta_c$ and $\chi_{c2}$ production, and are quite marginal for $\chi_{c0}$ and $\chi_{c1}$ production. It is impressive to note the NLO corrections considerably reduce the renormalization scale dependence in both the decay widths and the branching fractions for $\chi_{cJ}$, and slightly improve that for $\eta_c$. With the NRQCD matrix elements evaluated via the Buchm\"uller-Tye potential model, we find the decay width for $\eta_c$ production is one-order-of-magnitude larger than $\chi_{cJ}$ production, which may provide a good opportunity to search for $\Upsilon\to \eta_c+\gamma$ in experiment. In addition, the decay width for $\chi_{c1}$ production is several times larger than those for $\chi_{c0,2}$. Finally, we find the NLO NRQCD prediction for the branching fraction of $\Upsilon\to \chi_{c1}+\gamma$ is only half of the lower bound of the experimental data measured recently by {\tt Belle}. Moreover, there exists serious contradiction between theory and experiment for $\Upsilon\to \eta_c+\gamma$. Quantum key distribution (QKD) enables secure key exchanges between two remote users. The ultimate goal of secure communication is to establish a global quantum network. The existing field tests suggest that quantum networks are feasible. To achieve a practical quantum network, we need to overcome several challenges, including realising versatile topologies for large scales, simple network maintenance, extendable configuration, and robustness to node failures. To this end, we present a field operation of a quantum metropolitan-area network with 46 nodes and show that all these challenges can be overcome with cutting-edge quantum technologies. In particular, we realise different topological structures and continuously run the network for 31 months, by employing standard equipment for network maintenance with an extendable configuration. We realise QKD pairing and key management with a sophisticated key control center. In this implementation, the final keys have been used for secure communication such as real-time voice telephone, text messaging, and file transmission with one-time pad encryption, which can support 11 pairs of users to make audio calls simultaneously. Combined with inter-city quantum backbone and ground-satellite links, our metropolitan implementation paves the way toward a global quantum network., Comment: 14 pages, 5 figures

In this paper, we present a comprehensive study of $\Upsilon$ inclusive production in $Z$ boson decay, including the first complete next-to-leading-order calculations of the color-octet (CO) contributions. With the inclusion of the newly-calculated remarkable QCD corrections, the CO processes exhibit crucially phenomenological influence on the existing predictions built on the color-singlet mechanism. We also include the exhaustive evaluations of the feed-down contributions, which remained ignored in the literature, and find them to be considerable. Summing up all the contributions, the $\mathcal{B}_{Z \to \Upsilon(nS)+X}$ still notably undershoot the data released by the L3 Collaboration., Comment: 17 pages, 6 figures, and 4 tables; accepted for publication in JHEP

Within the framework of nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization formalism, we compute the helicity amplitude as well as the decay width of $\eta_{Q2}$ ($Q=c,b$) electromagnetic decay into two photons up to next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) in $\alpha_s$ expansion. For the first time, we verify the validity of NRQCD factorization for the D-wave quarkonium decay at NNLO. We find that the $\mathcal{O}(\alpha_s)$ and $\mathcal{O}(\alpha_s^2)$ corrections to the helicity amplitude are negative and moderate, nevertheless both corrections combine to suppress the leading-order prediction for the decay width significantly. By approximating the total decay width of $\eta_{Q2}$ as the sum of those for the hadronic decay and the electric $E1$ transition, we obtain the branching ratios ${\rm Br}(\eta_{c2}\to 2\gamma)\approx 5\times10^{-6}$ and ${\rm Br}(\eta_{b2}\to 2\gamma)\approx 4\times10^{-7}$. To explore the potential measurement on $\eta_{Q2}$, we further evaluate the production cross section of $\eta_{Q2}$ at LHCb at the lowest order in $\alpha_s$ expansion. With the kinematic constraint on the longitudinal rapidity $4.5>y>2$ and transverse momentum $P_T>(2-4)m_Q$ for $\eta_{Q2}$, we find the cross section can reach $2-50$ nb for $\eta_{c2}$, and $1-22$ pb for $\eta_{b2}$. Considering the integrated luminosity $\mathcal{L}=10\, {\rm fb}^{-1}$ at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV and $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV, we estimate that there are several hundreds events of $pp\to \eta_{c2}\to 2\gamma$. Since the background is relatively clean, it is promising to reconstruct $\eta_{c2}$ through its electromagnetic decay. On the contrary, due to small branching ratio and production cross section, it is quite challenging to detect $\eta_{b2}\to 2\gamma$ at LHCb., Comment: 14 pages, 1 figures, 2 tables

We extend the nonrelativistic QCD framework to explore the nature of the newly discovered di-$J/\psi$ resonances. Assuming them as either molecule-like states or tetraquarks, we calculated their hadroproduction cross sections at the LHC. We find that the observed resonances are most likely spin-2 particles, and there should exist their spin-0 counterparts near these resonances. The ratio of production cross sections of the observed resonances to the latent spin-0 ones are also presented, which might help to distinguish molecule-like states from tetraquarks.

Started from the static excited finite atomic nucleus, we have simulated the dynamical propagation of the nucleons using Quantum Molecular Dynamics model (QMD) without the collision term and calculated the Largest Lyapunov Exponent (LLE). The sensitivity of the nonlinear mean field dynamics to the initial conditions, in particular to the initial spatial distribution of the nucleons in certain thermodynamical stable condition, has been confirmed numerically by calculating the LLE defined in the event space. Comparatively, the Lyapunov-like exponent defined in phase space represents more clearly the sensitivity of the nonlinear dynamics to the mechanical stability of the initial conditions within the nuclear reaction time at intermediate energies. These conclusions are not only helpful for us to understand more deeply the mechanism of the nuclear reaction dynamics at intermediate energies, but it is also beneficial for clarifying further the concrete performances of deterministic chaos in the heavy-ion collisions., Comment: 18 pages and 5 figures

In this paper, we study the azimuthal asymmetry in the $J/\psi$ leptoproduction in unpolarized $ep$ collisions. There are two independent azimuthal asymmetry modulations, namely $\mathrm{cos}(\psi)$ and $\mathrm{cos}(2\psi)$, where $\psi$ is the azimuthal angle of the lepton scattering plane with respect to the hadron-interacting plane. We calculate the two modulations as functions of four kinematic variables, and find that they provide a very good laboratory to distinguish several models describing the heavy quarkonium production, including the color-singlet (CS) model, the nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) associated with the $^1S_0^{[8]}$ dominance picture, and the NRQCD in which the values of all the three color-octet (CO) long-distance matrix elements are of the same order. In order to make definite conclusions, we restrict our calculation in a specific kinematic region, where the CS and CO mechanisms can be distinguished by scrutinizing the values of the $\mathrm{cos}(\psi)$ modulation, while the $^1S_0^{[8]}$ dominance picture can be tested by measuring the values of the $\mathrm{cos}(2\psi)$ modulation. Calculating their values and carrying out a meticulous statistical analysis, we find that at an integrated luminosity $\mathcal{L}=1000\mathrm{pb}^{-1}$, the statistical uncertainties of the two quantities are small enough to tell the three models apart. When this experiment is implemented at the future $ep$ colliders such as the EIC, crucial information for the $J/\psi$ production mechanism might be discovered.

We study the $\eta_c$ photoproduction in $ep$ collisions in this paper. The short-distance coefficients for $c\bar{c}(^1S_0^{[1]})$, $c\bar{c}(^1S_0^{[8]})$, $c\bar{c}(^3S_1^{[8]})$, and $c\bar{c}(^1P_1^{[8]})$ photoproductions are evaluated at leading order in $\alpha_s$ expansion, where the color-singlet contribution is achieved for the first time. We have carefully analyzed different kinematic distributions of the cross sections and found that the color-singlet contribution is considerably suppressed comparing with the color-octet parts. This feature renders the $\eta_c$ photoproduction process an ideal laboratory to test the color-octet mechanism in nonrelativistic QCD. By taking different sets of long-distance matrix elements, we have observed some apparently distinguishable predictions, which can be utilized to scrutinize the validity of these matrix elements., Comment: 6pages, 2 figures

In view of the good agreement between the LHCb prompt-eta(c) data at sqrt(s)=7 and 8 TeV and the NLO colour-singlet model predictions --i.e. the leading v^2 NRQCD contribution--, we provide predictions in the LHCb acceptance for the forthcoming 13 TeV analysis bearing on data taken during the LHC Run2. We also provide predictions for sqrt(s)=115 GeV for proton-hydrogen collisions in the fixed-target mode which could be studied during the LHC Run3. Our predictions are complemented by a full theoretical uncertainty analysis. The double longitudinal-spin asymmetry, $A_{LL}$, of the $J/\psi$ production in polarized proton-proton collisions is presented in this paper at QCD next-to-leading order. It is found that the obtained values of $A_{LL}$ are in general consistent with the PHENIX measurements. Various sets of the long-distance matrix elements (LDMEs) are employed in our calculation to study the possible theoretical uncertainties. It is found that, for $p_t<5\gev$, all these LDMEs lead to almost the same results, which are within the tolerance of the experimental data uncertainties.

Based on the framework of nonrelativistic Quantum Chromodynamics (NRQCD), we carry out next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD corrections to the decay of $Z$ boson into $\chi_c$ and $\chi_b$, respectively. The branching ratio of $Z \to \chi_{c}(\chi_b)+X$ is about $10^{-5}(10^{-6})$. It is found that, for $Z \to \chi_c(\chi_b)+X$, the single gluon fragmentation diagrams of $^3S_1^{[8]}$, which first appear at the NLO level, can provide significant contributions, leading to a great enhancement on the leading-order results. Consequently the contributions from the color octet (CO) channels will account for a large proportion of the total decay widths. Moreover, the introduction of the CO processes will thoroughly change the color singlet (CS) predictions on the ratios of $\Gamma_{\chi_{c1}}/\Gamma_{\chi_{c0}}$, $\Gamma_{\chi_{c2}}/\Gamma_{\chi_{c0}}$, $\Gamma_{\chi_{b1}}/\Gamma_{\chi_{b0}}$ and $\Gamma_{\chi_{b2}}/\Gamma_{\chi_{b0}}$, which can be regarded as an outstanding probe to distinguish the CO and CS mechanism. With regard to the CS ($^3P_J^{[1]}$) channels, the heavy quark pair associated processes serve as the leading role, however, in the case of $\chi_b$, $Z \to b\bar{b}[^3P_J^{[1]}]+g+g$ can also contribute significantly. Summing over all the feeddown contributions from $\chi_{cJ}$ and $\chi_{bJ}$, respectively, we find $\Gamma(Z \to J/\psi+X)|_{\chi_c-\textrm{feeddown}}=(0.28 - 2.4) \times 10^{-5}$ and $\Gamma(Z \to \Upsilon(1S)+X)|_{\chi_b-\textrm{feeddown}}=(0.15 - 0.49) \times 10^{-6}$., Comment: 18 pages, 6 figures and 6 tables. MARST (Multi-channel Antarctic Solar Telescope) aims to observe the Sun in multiple wavebands in Antarctica and will be China's first solar telescope in Antarctica. The telescope has two tubes, corresponding to Photosphere observation which uses 11 filters and Chromosphere observation in H{\alpha} waveband. The two tubes need to be coordinated to observe at the same time. The telescope will observe the Sun for a long time, so a self-guiding module is needed to improve sun tracking. Besides, performing solar specific flat-field exposure is necessary for analyzing. EPICS is introduced to control each hardware and an autonomous observation system based on RTS2 is designed under such demands. EPICS application modules are implemented for each device: telescope mount & focuser, filter wheel, H{\alpha} filter, dome with webcams, Andor CCD and PI CCD. We also integrate EPICS modules into RTS2 framework with an XML format configuration. To control these applications autonomously we have developed a RTS2 executor module where two plan classes are instantiated to control two sets of filters and CCDs, and to ensure only one could control the mount at the same time. Different types of observation plans are designed to describe different series of processes with different priorities. To improve sun tracking, we calculate the centroid of each image to get the offset, then apply the correction to the telescope during observation process. For frontend users, a GUI based on PyQt5 and QML is implemented and connects to rts2-httpd and rts2-proxy modules so that users can control devices, check images and get logs.

Tibet is known as the third pole of the earth, as high as the South Pole and North Pole. The Ngari (Ali) observatory in Tibet has the advantage of plenty of photometric night, low precipitable water vapor, high transmittance, good seeing. It is a good site, and promising to be one of the best place for infrared and submillimeter observations in the world. However, there is no data available for sky background brightness in such place, which restrict the astronomical development of the sites. In the near infrared band of J, H, Ks, a NIR sky brightness monitor (NISBM) is designed based on InGaAs photoelectric diode. By using the method of chopper modulation and digital lock-in amplifier processing, the SNR (Signal Noise Ratio), detectivity and the data acquisition speed of the device is greatly improved. For each band of J, H, Ks, an independent instrument is designed and calibrated in laboratory. The NISBM has been installed in Ngari observatory in July of 2017 and obtained the first data of NIR sky brightness at Ngari observatory., Comment: 19 pages,18 figures

The Near-infrared Sky Brightness Monitor (NIRBM) aims to measure the middle infrared sky background in Antarctica. The NIRBM mainly consists of an InGaAs detector, a chopper, a reflector, a cooler and a black body. The reflector can rotate to scan the sky with a field of view ranging from 0{\deg} to 180{\deg}. Electromechanical control and weak signal readout functions are accomplished by the same circuit, whose core chip is a STM32F407VG microcontroller. Considering the environment is harsh for humans in Antarctica, a multi-level remote control software system is designed and implemented. A set of EPICS IOCs are developed to control each hardware module independently via serial port communication with the STM32 microcontroller. The tornado web framework and PyEpics are introduced as a combination where PyEpics is used to monitor or change the EPICS Process Variables, functioning as a client for the EPICS framework. Tornado is responsible for the specific operation process of inter-device collaboration, and expose a set of interfaces to users to make calls. Considering the high delay and low bandwidth of the network environment, the tornado back-end is designed as a master-and-agent architecture to improve domestic user experience. The master node is deployed in Antarctic while multiple agent nodes can be deployed domestic. The master and agent nodes communicate with each other through the WebSocket protocol to exchange latest information so that bandwidth is saved. The GUI is implemented in the form of single-page application based on the Vue framework which communicates with tornado through WebSocket and AJAX requests. The web page integrates device control, data curve drawing, alarm display, auto observation and other functions together., Comment: Many revision were done after the submission, and the result in this paper may need more correction

In order to achieve the driver function for several types of scientific CCD detector from E2V Co Ltd, and decreasing the size of electronics of CCD detector system, an Application-specified Integrated Circuit (ASIC) was designed. It provides multi-channel clocks and bias voltage for CCD driver. In the ASIC, the clock drivers are made of a clock switch circuit and high voltage amplifier. Two 8-bit current-steering DACs are used to adjust the driver capability and high-level voltage of clocks. The bias drivers are generated by 8-bit current-steering DACs and off-chip operation amplifiers. The Global Foundry 180 nm BCDlite technology is selected to implement this design. The first version of design has been finished and the tests have been done.

CCD was born in Bell Laboratories in 1969 and has been widely used in various fields. Its ultra-low noise and high quantum efficiency make it work well in particle physics, high energy physics, nuclear physics and astrophysics. Nowadays, more and more CCD cameras have been developed for medical diagnosis, scientific experiments, aerospace, military exploration and other fields. For the wide range of CCD cameras, a Non-vacuum-cooling compact (NVCC) scientific CCD camera has been developed, including FPGA-based low noise clock and bias driver circuit, data acquisition circuit, STM32-based temperature control design. At the same time, the readout noise of the imaging system is studied emphatically. The scheme to generate the CCD clock and the bias driving circuit through ultralow noise LDOs is proposed. The camera was tested in a variety of environments, and the test results show that the system can run at a maximum rate of 5M pixels/s and readout noise is as low as 9.29e^- when the CCD readout speed is 500K pixels/s. A near-infrared (NIR) measurement based on digital orthogonal vector lock-in amplifier (LIA) is present in this paper. NIR sky background radiation is very weak. To detect the signals obscured by noise, the best way achieved is to use a chopper to modulate the detected signal and using a LIA to demodulate. The effect of 1/f noise of detector, dark current and other noises can be reduced to get sufficient signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The orthogonal vector LIA can avoid the phase shift on the accuracy of measurement by two orthogonal components. In order to simplify the system, a digital algorithm is adopted to realize the LIA which is operated in a microcontroller with ARM cortex-M4. Data is obtained through ADC and the signal of detector is amplified and filtered. Then the phase sensitive detection (PSD), low-pass filter (LPF) and amplitude phase calculation are performed. The digital method can greatly simplify the circuit, and conveniently adjust the time constant of the LPF to realize the different equivalent noise bandwidth (ENB). The algorithm has the specification of high precision, flexible usage, simple implementation and low computation resource. By using this method, the weak infrared signal submerged by the noise can be obtained, which extremely improves the detection capability of the system.

In this paper, we introduce a general scientific CCD simulation and test system which can meet the test requirements of different types of CCD chips from E2V company, such as measuring different signals output from modules of a CCD controller including power supply, fan, temperature control module, crystal oscillator, shutter and clock-bias generator. Furthermore, the video signal of the CCD detector can be simulated and superimposed with random noise to verify the performance of the video sampling circuit of the CCD controller. We proceed to the first study of $\eta_c'$ prompt hadroproduction at next-to-leading order in $\alpha_s$. Based on heavy-quark-spin symmetry, which is systematically used in quarkonium-production phenomenology, we demonstrate that prompt $\eta_c'$ can be studied at the LHC with the existing data. We argue that the large suppression of the $\psi(2S)$ inclusive cross-section relative to the $J/\psi$ inclusive cross-section in proton-nucleus (p+A) collisions can be attributed to factorization breaking effects in the formation of quarkonium. These factorization breaking effects arise from soft color exchanges between charm-anticharm pairs undergoing hadronization and comoving partons that are long-lived on time scales of quarkonium formation. We compute the short distance pair production of heavy quarks in the Color Glass Condensate (CGC) effective field theory and employ an improved Color Evaporation model (ICEM) to describe their hadronization into quarkonium at large distances. The combined CGC+ICEM model provides a quantitative description of $J/\psi$ and $\psi(2S)$ data in proton-proton (p+p) collisions from both RHIC and the LHC. Factorization breaking effects in hadronization, due to additional parton comovers in the nucleus, are introduced heuristically by imposing a cutoff $\Lambda$, representing the momentum kick from soft color exchanges, in the ICEM model. Such soft exchanges have no perceptible effect on $J/\psi$ suppression in p+A collisions. In contrast, the interplay of the physics of these soft exchanges at large distances, with the physics of semi-hard rescattering at short distances, causes a significant additional suppression of $\psi(2S)$ yields relative to that of the $J/\psi$. A good fit of all RHIC and LHC $J/\psi$ and $\psi(2S)$ data, for transverse momenta $P_\perp\leq 5$ GeV in p+p and p+A collisions, is obtained for $\Lambda\sim 10$ MeV., Comment: 16 pages, 12 figures. v2: version accepted for publication in PRC

We present the first study of the QCD corrections to the color-singlet (CS) $J/\psi$ production in deeply inelastic $ep$ scattering at HERA. The $K$-factor ranges from $0.85$ to $2.38$ in the kinematic regions we study. In low transverse momentum regions, the $K$-factors is even smaller, and close to 1, which indicates good convergence of the perturbative expansion. With the QCD corrections, the CS cross section is still below the data. At least at QCD next-to-leading order, the color-octet mechanism is necessary to describe the data.

As indicated in our previous paper (Phys.Rev.D96.034002), the existing literatures studying the $J/\psi$ production in deeply inelastic scattering (DIS) in collinear factorization are on the basis of a formalism that will lead to wrong results when the ranges of the transverse momentum or the rapidity of the $J/\psi$ in the laboratory frame do not cover all values possible for them. In this paper, we present the renewed results for the $J/\psi$ production in DIS at HERA within the nonrelativistic QCD framework at QCD leading order (LO). Three different sets of the long-distance matrix elements are employed for comparison. The predictions via the colour-singlet (CS) model at QCD LO are generally below the experimental data especially in the regions where perturbation theory are expected to work well, while the colour-octet contributions are of the same order of magnitude as the CS ones, however, in general make the agreement between theory and experiment better.

We present a compact form of the leptonic currents for the computation of the processes involving an initial virtual boson (photon, $W^{\pm}$ or $Z_0$). For deeply inelastic scattering, once the azimuthal angle of the plane expanded by the initial- and final-state leptons are integrated over in the boson-proton rest frame, the azimuthal-asymmetric terms vanish, which, however, is NOT true when some physical quantities (such as the transverse momentum of the observed particle) are specified in laboratory frame. Double $J/\psi$ production in $e^+e^-$ collisions involving colour-octet channels are evaluated up to order $\alpha^2\alpha_s^3$. Having implemented the variation of the parameters ($m_c$, $\mu_r$ and long-distance matrix elements), we found that the cross sections for producing double $J/\psi$ at B-factories range from $-0.016$fb to $0.245$fb, which are even much smaller than that via the colour-siglet mechanism. Accordingly, this result is consistent with the measurement by the Belle and BABAR Collaborations.

Within the framework of the dinuclear system model, production cross sections of proton-rich nuclei with charged numbers of Z=84-90 are investigated systematically. Possible combinations with the $^{28}$Si, $^{32}$S, $^{40}$Ar bombarding the target nuclides $^{165}$Ho, $^{169}$Tm, $^{170-174}$Yb, $^{175,176}$Lu, $^{174,176-180}$Hf and $^{181}$Ta are analyzed thoroughly. The optimal excitation energies and evaporation channels are proposed to produce the proton-rich nuclei. The systems are feasible to be constructed in experiments. It is found that the neutron shell closure of N=126 is of importance during the evaporation of neutrons. The experimental excitation functions in the $^{40}$Ar induced reactions can be nicely reproduced. The charged particle evaporation is comparable with neutrons in cooling the excited proton-rich nuclei, in particular for the channels with $\alpha$ and proton evaporation. The production cross section increases with the mass asymmetry of colliding systems because of the decrease of the inner fusion barrier. The channels with pure neutron evaporation depend on the isotopic targets. Within an isospin and momentum dependent transport model, the dynamics of isospin particles (nucleons and light clusters) in Fermi-energy heavy-ion collisions are investigated for constraining the isospin splitting of nucleon effective mass and the symmetry energy at subsaturation densities. We investigate the possibility to study the charmed baryon $\Lambda_c(2940)$ by kaon-induced reaction on a proton target. By assuming the $\Lambda_c(2940)$ as a $pD^{*0}$ molecular state with spin-parity $J^{p}=1/2^{\pm}$, an effective Lagrangian approach was adopted to calculate the cross section, the $D^0p$ invariant mass spectrum and Dalitz plot of the $\Lambda(2940)$ production. The total cross section of the $K^{-}p\to\Lambda_c(2940)D_s^{-}$ reaction is found at an order of magnitude about 10 $\mu$b. By considering the sub sequential decay $\Lambda_c(2940)\to{}D^0p$ with contributions from the $\Lambda_c(2286)$ and the $\Sigma_c(2455)$ as background, the $K^{-}p\to{}D_{s}^{-}D^{0}p$ reaction are studied. It is found that the $\Lambda_c(2940)$ is produced mainly at forward angles. The $\Lambda_c(2940)$ signal is predicted to be significant in the $D^0p$ invariant mass spectrum and the Dalitz plot of the $K^{-}p\to{}D_{s}^{-}D^{0}p$ reaction. The results suggest that it is promising to study the $\Lambda_c(2940)$ with high-energy kaon beam on a proton target in experiment., Comment: 6 pages, 6 figures
