Background/Aim: Back pain is one of the most common discomforts experienced by pregnant women in the third trimester of pregnancy. Interventions that can be done to overcome this are progressive muscle relaxation or acupressure at the BL 23 and GV 3 points. The aim was to determine the effectiveness of progressive muscle relaxation with BL 23 and GV 3 acupressure to reduce low back pain in third trimester pregnant women. Methods: Quasi-experimental research design method with a two-group pretest and post-test design approach was conducted. The total sample was 88 with inclusion criteria-third trimester pregnant women who experienced back pain. Pain was measured with numerical rating scale (NRS) and analysed using Wilcoxon test. Results: The average reduction in back pain for pregnant women after progressive muscle relaxation was 2.12, while the average reduction in back pain for pregnant women after BL 23 and GV 3 acupressure was 1.50. There is a mean difference between the two (0.62), so it can be concluded that there was a difference in the effectiveness of reducing back pain for pregnant women in the third trimester between the progressive muscle relaxation intervention and the respondents' pain scale after the acupressure therapy intervention at points BL 23 and GV 3. Conclusion: Back pain for pregnant women in the third trimester can be treated with progressive muscle relaxation therapy or acupressure at points BL 23 and GV 3 to reduce back pain. Progressive muscle relaxation therapy was more effective. Progressive muscle relaxation can be done by pregnant women themselves when back pain occurs.

Every parent desires their child to engage in both play and learning. Often, parents find themselves attributing any challenges to perceived shortcomings in their parenting and struggle to leverage digital media effectively. This research endeavors to examine the fundamental psychological needs - autonomy, competence, and relationship - in relation to parenting strategies for children vulnerable to Internet Gaming Disorder. Employing an analytical cross-sectional design, the study focused on parents with children aged 8 to 12 years in Gresik City, East Java, Indonesia. A purposive sample of 125 participants was selected. The research employed the satisfaction and frustration of the Basic Psychological Needs (BPN) questionnaire along with a parenting strategy scale. Descriptive statistical tests and multiple linear regression were utilized to analyze the BPN and parenting strategies. Simultaneously, BPN significantly influenced parental strategies (p=0.026, which is ≤0.05). In terms of effective contributions, autonomy, competence, and relationship collectively accounted for 7.3%, with individual effects of 1.82%, 5.56%, and 0.04%, respectively. Parents whose BPN were fulfilled exhibited effective parenting strategies, reducing the risk of Internet Gaming Disorder. Consequently, there is a crucial role for nurses and healthcare professionals in educating parents about preventing Internet Gaming Disorder in children. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: To improve the capacity of diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) patients for self-management of wound care, there is a renewed need for self-care on their part, as well as an increase in their readiness to deal with issues and heal their wounds. Therefore, this review empirically assessed contemporary evidence on how patients with DFU can perform self-treat wound care. Methods: This integrative literature review assessed how patients with DFU could perform self-treat wound care. Whittemore and Knafl integrative information literature review involved searching four databases (Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, and Google Scholar), which resulted in 2,595 published articles, between 2010 and 2023. Nineteen articles satisfied the requirements for inclusion and quality assessment, and the PRISMA review checklist was followed. Results: No research has addressed DFU patients' self-treatment of wound care. The integration of evidence from quantitative and qualitative studies was achieved in three categories: (1) motivation, (2) self-wound care strategy, and (3) self-wound care performance by DFU patients. Conclusion: To equip themselves to perform wound care independently, patients with DFU must receive training to clean wounds, apply wound medication, and perform dressings. Objectives: To describe how people living with HIV/ AIDS (PLWHA) make decisions using the diffusion of innovation theory model. Decisions occur when individual decision makers engage in activities that guide choices to adopt or reject a particular innovation. Methods: This is a descriptive analysis research using a survey method. Data collection was carried out using a decision making questionnaire. The subjects in this research were HIV/AIDS sufferers (PLWHA) who lived in Turen, Indonesia. The number of research subjects was 36 respondents obtained using the purposive sampling technique on January 2023. Original Article Results: The research design used the correlation method with a cross sectional approach and the Spearman correlation coefficient statistical test. The research results show significance (2-tailed) of 0.934 (p>0.05). The correlation coefficient results are negative. Where the direction of the correlation produces showed a very weak relationship with a value of 0.014 and the results of the analysis between variables are not the same. This is because the persuasion stage was not tested in the analysis. Research shows that 8 (22.2%) patients rejected the decision making of PLWHA using the diffusion of innovation theory model at the Western Provident Association Turen Foundation, Turen, Indonesia, while 28 (77.7%) patients accepted it. It can be concluded that the majority of decisions made by HIV/AIDS patients at the ADIS Turen Peduli Warga Foundation are accepted. Conclusion: Knowledge of HIV/AIDS sufferers is at a good level, their decision making is mostly accepted and there is a meaningful relationship between knowledge and decision making in using a chatbot innovation. Breastfeeding is a critical component of maternal and infant health. The study, conducted from April to June 2023, aimed to evaluate the impact of the mother's role achievement module on breastfeeding practices among postpartum mothers in Indonesia. Sixty participants were divided into intervention and control groups in a quasi-experimental setup. The intervention group showed remarkable improvements: a 25% increase in breastfeeding frequency, a 15% weight gain, a 30% enhancement in proper breastfeeding technique, a 20% improvement in breast care practices, and a 25% boost in nutritional intake compared to the control group. Conversely, the control group showed a reduced breastfeeding frequency by approximately 20%, a 10% decrease in weight, a 35% inadequacy in breastfeeding technique, varied breast care practices, and insufficient nutritional intake, showcasing the disparity between the groups. Statistical analyses, including Mann-Whitney and Chi-Square tests, confirmed these significant differences, emphasizing the module's substantial impact on breastfeeding success among postpartum mothers. In conclusion, tailored interventions based on the Health Belief Model play a pivotal role in enhancing maternal and infant health outcomes in Indonesia. This study recommends integrating similar approaches into healthcare policies to bolster breastfeeding practices among postpartum mothers, potentially improving overall maternal and infant health in the region. Antenatal care (ANC) is crucial for the health of both mother and child. However, information on ANC in rural Indonesia is limited despite its essential role. This research examined the determinants of adequate antenatal care among rural Indonesian pregnant women. A cross-sectional study analysed pregnant Indonesian women aged 18-49, focusing on adequate antenatal care (ANC) during the third trimester. The study included sociodemographic variables and component factors (knowledge, motivation, social support, and health services). A multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed. A total number of 350 pregnant women aged 18-49 years old enrolled in this study. Almost half (47.1) % of women received adequate ANC (≥ eight visits) during their pregnancy, and about 79.1% of participants had adequate ANC (4 or more visits). Mothers with higher education and married were more likely to have adequate ANC (AOR = 1.52; 95% CI [1.12-3.46]) and (AOR = 1.17; 95% CI [1.01-3.32]), respectively. Poor knowledge toward ANC (AOR = 0.41; 95% CI [0.12-0.65], low motivation (AOR = 0.73; 95% CI [0.31-0.97]), poor health service (AOR = 2.76; 95% CI [1.85-4.32]), and poor social support (AOR = 3.24; 95% CI [2.11-5.34]) was negatively associated with adequate ANC. The intervention aims to improve access to maternity care for women in rural Indonesia by enhancing social support, reproductive health awareness, and expanding safety net services. Cancer is the second leading cause of death worldwide. Two prominent factors in this regard are a woman's history of contraceptive use and the duration of breastfeeding. This study aimed to delve into these risk factors and their impact on cancer incidence. The research employed a cross-sectional design involving 125 cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Hospital in Samarinda, East Kalimantan. This study used a total sampling approach to include all available patients. Data on contraceptive use, breastfeeding duration, and cancer status were collected through a questionnaire and subsequently analyzed using the chi-square test. The study revealed that breast cancer was the most prevalent type, affecting 41.6% of patients. Additionally, more than half of the respondents breastfed for less than two years (52%), while only 48% breastfed for two years or more. Notably, a significant majority (66.4%) had a history of using hormonal contraception. Statistical analysis demonstrated a compelling association between contraceptive history, breastfeeding duration, and cancer incidence (p < 0.001). In summary, the findings highlight a substantial relationship between a woman's history of contraceptive use, the duration of breastfeeding, and the incidence of breast cancer. These results underscore the importance of further research and the development of targeted interventions to better understand and mitigate breast cancer risk factors among women. Background: Breast cancer patients with post-chemotherapy had self-care deficit problems. The patient is unable to perform activities of daily living which can decrease the quality of life. One of the factors that affected self-care deficit among breast cancer patients was inadequate information. This study aimed to determine the effects of peer support psychoeducation based on experiential learning on the self-care demand. Design and methods: This study used a quasi-experimental design with pretest and posttest. The independent variable of the study was the application of peer support psychoeducation based on experiential learning and the dependent variable was the self-care demand. The inclusion criteria in this study were breast cancer patients with postchemotherapy. The exclusion criteria in this study were patients who were unconscious. We selected the experimental and control group randomly. The total sample in this study was 60 people, 30 respondents for the experiment group and 30 respondents for the control group. Peer support psychoeducation based on experiential learning was developed from Wauchope's psychoeducational theory, Orem's self-care, and David Kolb's experiential learning. We used a self-report questionnaire to measure self-care demand. Data were analyzed using Wilcoxon signed rank and Mann-Whitney U tests. Results: Peer support psychoeducation based on experiential learning has a significant effect on self-care demand, namely ADL (p = 0.002), pain management (p = 0.002), nutritional management (p = 0.000), and rest and sleep (p = 0.000). Conclusion: Psychoeducation based on experiential learning was recommended for nursing care or physician to increase self-care demand. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
