In order to obtain sliding electrical contact materials with good conductivity and wear resistance, a series of silver doped chromium nitride (CrN-Ag) coatings were prepared by magnetron sputtering. The hardness, elastic modulus, chemical composition and surface morphology of the prepared coatings were characterized in detail. The tribological properties and conductivities of the prepared CrN-Ag coatings were investigated in detail at low and high current densities. The worn surfaces after friction test were also investigated to explore the lubrication mechanisms. The results show that the addition of Ag element could regulate the hardness, elastic modulus, chemical composition and surface morphology of the coatings. The CrN-Ag coating with 23 wt% Ag content exhibited the best conductive and tribological properties under low and high current densities. The analysis of friction surface shows that the conductivity and wear resistance of different coatings were mainly related to the Ag content of coatings.

This study investigated the acid doping of polypyrrole (PPY) using as dopants three solutions: hydrochloric acid (HCl), dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid (DBSA), and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (LB104). Four conductive lubricating greases were prepared with these dopants based on composite lithium-based grease (LCG). The research aimed to explore the physicochemical properties and tribological performance of conductive lubricating greases. Experimental results indicate that acid-doped PPY conductive lubricating greases exhibit lower resistivity and higher dropping points. Moreover, these lubricating greases can form stable boundary lubricating films, demonstrating excellent antifriction and antiwear properties. Among these, the additive with LB104-doped PPY shows superior antifriction and antiwear performance, as well as conductivity, suggesting broad prospects for application in the field of conductive lubrication. An ionic liquid-polyaniline/tungsten disulfide (IL-PANI/WS2) composite was synthesized in 1-butyl-3-methylimidazole tetrafluoroborate (LB104) aqueous solution by in-situ polymerization and characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. A current-carrying friction and wear tester was used to study the tribological properties of steel—steel and copper—copper friction pairs lubricated by an IL-PANI/WS2 lithium complex grease (LCG). After the experiment, scanning electron microscope was used to observe the surface morphology of the wear scar on the steel and copper plates, and X-ray photoelectron spectrometer was used to analyze the elemental composition of the wear scar surface. The results show that compared with greases containing IL-PANI and WS2, greases containing IL-PANI/WS2 exhibit better antiwear performance when lubricating steel—steel friction pairs and better tribological performance and electrical conductivity when lubricating copper—copper friction pairs.
