Teaching in rural schools is frequently marked by challenges ranging from restricted technological infrastructure and geographical remoteness to sparse professional development. Guided by the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), this paper reports findings from a sequential explanatory mixed-methods study that investigated Virtual Lab (VL) adoption in rural South African schools. Data collected through a questionnaire (N = 186) and semi-structured interviews (N = 4) involving life sciences teachers were analysed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. The study revealed surprising trends in VL adoption, indicating that family and friends have a greater influence than colleages. Contrary to conventional wisdom on teacher motivation, this paper underscores learners' enthusiasm as pivotal. Despite reservations regarding facilitating conditions, improved technology access challenges prior assumptions of scarcity in rural schools. Nevertheless, while challenges such as low competence and inadequate professional development persist, rural school teachers express readiness for adoption, signalling potential increased usage under favourable conditions. Abstract Electric vehicles (EVs) powered by renewable energy are central to achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7.2, which aims to increase the share of renewable energy and reduce carbon emissions in the transportation sector. A 2023 projection estimated that EV sales in leading EV-importing Sub-Saharan African (SSA) countries, including Nigeria, Ethiopia, South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda, Mauritius, and Seychelles, would exceed 700 million units within 5 years and grow to 4 million by 2037. Despite these optimistic forecasts, the current adoption rate of EVs in SSA remains significantly low. This study extends the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) framework to identify key factors influencing EV adoption in the region. The model incorporates facilitating conditions, trust, performance expectancy, social influence, network externalities, and effort expectancy as critical determinants. Empirical results reveal that facilitating conditions (H6) have a 30% stronger effect on behavioral intentions compared to network externalities (H5). These findings highlight the need for robust infrastructure, supportive policies, and favorable conditions to accelerate EV adoption in SSA and shape EV purchase decisions. The paper concludes by discussing the empirical results and proposing directions for future research to deepen understanding of EV adoption dynamics in the region.

Land degradation issues and declining fertility are driving the need for agroecological practices. This research analysed the determinants of acceptance and actual use of five main agroecological practices (contour farming techniques, organic fertiliser, crop association, improved seeds and integrated crop management practices) by farmers in Mali. The extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) was used to develop the conceptual model. Data were collected from 505 randomly selected farming households in the cotton and cereal production zones in Mali. Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) was used to estimate technology acceptance and use. The findings revealed that behavioural intention is significantly and positively influenced by the expected performance and social influence. The expected effort is a key influential factor of the behavioural intention to adopt organic fertiliser. Experience has a mediating effect on the relationship between social influence and behavioural intention to adopt improved seeds adapted to the agroecological conditions. The actual use behaviour is directly and positively affected by the behavioural intention, facilitating conditions and expected net benefit. These findings align with the UTAUT model, have useful implications for both farmers and decision-makers and offer directions for technical approaches to agroecological practices' development. This study examines the use of m-payment system in Fiji using the UTAUT model. It measures the user's intention to adopt the m-payment system using variables such as performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions. A quantitative approach was used to address the research hypothesis. Data was collected in the western part of Fiji from 301 respondents and analyzed using the partial least squares–structured equation modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. The findings suggested that all variables affect the user's intention to adopt the m-payment system; however, performance expectancy and facilitating conditions have a stronger influence. This study focuses on understanding the factors that influence end-users' (customers') acceptance of fintech services in the insurance industry. The study employed a modified Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 model, incorporating perceived security and personal innovativeness as independent variables, and trust as a moderating variable. A total of 391 responses were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling in SmartPLS software. The study's findings indicate that factors such as effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, perceived, and personal innovativeness positively affect users' behavioral intention (BI) to use fintech services in the insurance industry. Moreover, BI positively influences the actual use (AU) of fintech services. Additionally, trust plays a positive moderating role between BI and AU. The results of this study have practical implications for academicians, researchers, insurance companies, and insurance regulatory bodies. Academicians and researchers can further explore the acceptance of fintech in developing countries based on these findings. The Covid 19 pandemic has caused changes in the daily consumption of various generations and increased the frequency of digital payments as one solution to overcome problems related to handling cash. This research aims to analyze the influence of user perceptions on their intention to adopt QRIS. User factors are proxied by six variables, namely Perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, social influence, facilitating conditions, perceived trust and continuous innovation. This research uses quantitative methods with analysis on Generations X, Y and Z in Jabodetabek. Purposive sampling technique was used to collect data using a questionnaire distributed via Google Form. There were 221 respondents from three generations. Data were processed using SPSS 27 with multiple regression models. The research results show that the factors Perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, facilitating conditions, perceived trust and continuous innovation can influence a person's intention to adopt QRIS. On the other hand, social influence factors have no influence on a person's intention to adopt QRIS. Information and Communication Technology is a powerful tool for transforming education, and in developing, largely rural countries such as Bhutan, where its widespread access is relatively recent. Information and Communication Technology acceptance and use among teacher educators are crucial for effective contemporary teacher education. Acceptance and use depend on well-established factors, including teachers' attitudes; however, little is known about teachers' attitudes in rural developing countries, especially Himalayan and Buddhist countries, which are culturally different to other developing countries. Accordingly, this mixed-method study investigated how Bhutanese teacher educators' attitudes influence acceptance and use of Information and Communication Technology in teaching. Analysis of survey (n = 90) and semi-structured interview (n = 21) data indicated that teacher educators generally held positive attitudes toward its use. Age, gender, teaching experience and subject of specialisation did not influence attitude, while perceived usefulness, facilitating conditions and Information and Communication Technology use, did. Positive attitude was associated with perceived usefulness, while negative attitude aligned with Information and Communication Technology incompetence and slow internet connectivity. Some agreement exists between findings in Bhutan and other developing, rural contexts, however, differences in factors, including gender, and the presence of Buddhist zhenphen highlight the need for policymakers, researchers and interventions to account for context, alongside continued improvement of Information and Communication Technology infrastructure. The discussion around integrating AI technologies into educational practice is current among scholars and in sociopolitical circles. This study examines the factors influencing teachers' acceptance of educational AI tool (EAIT) use, aiming to inform the development of a pedagogical framework for the responsible integration of AI tools in education. A conceptual model was developed by amalgamating constructs of TAM (perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use) and UTAUT (social influence and facilitating conditions) while integrating the variables of perceived trust and personal innovativeness and considering the impact of teachers' pedagogical beliefs. A total of 342 Greek teachers participated in the quantitative survey conducted. The proposed model was evaluated using partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). The findings illuminated perceived usefulness as the most significant predictor of teachers' behavioural intention to use EAIT. The research also revealed that social influence and personal innovativeness exert considerable influence. While constructivist pedagogical beliefs were found to have no direct impact on EAIT acceptance, the results indicated that educators who embrace those teaching methods exhibit a high propensity to perceive EAIT as useful and trustworthy. Furthermore, the study's analysis demonstrated that trust had a significantly positive effect on usefulness, and innovativeness influences positively and significantly both usefulness and ease of use. Although studies have highlighted the importance of facilitating conditions in enhancing students' digital informal learning (DIL), the effect mechanism is still unclear. This study examined the mediating role of digital competence and the moderating role of technostress between facilitating conditions and DIL. Data were collected from 385 undergraduates from two Chinese universities and analysed using AMOS and SPSS. The results indicated that (a) facilitating conditions predict students' digital competence and DIL positively; (b) digital competence has a positive mediating effect on the association between facilitating conditions and DIL; and (c) technostress plays as a negative moderator in the relationship between facilitating conditions and DIL. In conclusion, to enhance higher education students' DIL, educators and administrators should consider facilitating conditions, digital competence and technostress. Implications for practice or policy: • University administrators could facilitate students' DIL by providing adequate infrastructure and creating a positive atmosphere for DIL. • Educators should recognise the importance of students' digital competence and create opportunities (e.g., providing sufficient elective courses and implementing reward strategies) for their development. • Students could avoid experiencing too much technostress by making their DIL schedules appropriately and participating in physical activities. This study aims to investigate factors affecting behavioral intention towards teaching AI in Saudi universities. A random sampling method was used. A total of 430 responses were received. There were 330 males (76.74%), and 100 females (32.25%). All participants were of Saudi nationality and spoke Arabic as their mother tongue. To investigate sample data and assess model fit, this study employs structural equation modeling (SEM). A self-report 15- item survey instrument was developed specifically for this research study, based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Study variables showed significant correlations at the .01 level. BI correlates positively with Performance expectancy (PE), Effort expectancy (EE), Social influence (SI)and Facilitating conditions (FC) (r = .555, .655, .630 and .615 respectively). Each of PE, EE, SI made significant individual contributions to the prediction of BI. The results indicated that the following beta weights which represented the relative contribution of PE, EE, SI and FC to the prediction were observed. PE (b = .411, t = 5.890, P < 0.01), EE (b = .333, t = 5.780, P < 0.01), SI (b = .297, t = 5.230, P < 0.01), and FC (b = .299, t = 5.232, P < 0.01). Together they yielded a coefficient of multiple regression (R) of 0.788 and a multiple correlation square of 0.784. This paper aims to understand the impact of factors affecting the relationship between intention and using Fintech in the VUCA era, which stands for volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. A cross-sectional design was employed in this study. The data was collected via questionnaires, with 1,411 usable responses received through the survey. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed to assess the process with SmartPLS 4. Our research did figure out the positive impact of Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease of use on behavioral intention and the positive impact of Intention on Using Fintech behavior. Simultaneously, we indicated that Financial literacy could moderate the relationship between Intention and Using Fintech behavior, and Financial self-efficacy would be a mediator of the association between Financial literacy and Using Fintech behavior. Plagiarism detection software is beneficial in detecting plagiarism in research works of postgraduate students. Despite the benefits of using plagiarism detection software, studies have revealed that most students, including postgraduates, do not use plagiarism detection software as expected. This could depend on the provision of facilitating conditions like internet connectivity, training opportunities and electricity. Thus, this study examined facilitating conditions and the use of plagiarism detection software among postgraduates of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. A descriptive survey research design of the correlational type was used for this study, with a population of 2143 postgraduates. The multi-stage random sampling technique was used to determine the sample size of 242. The questionnaire was the research instrument, and data was analysed using descriptive statistics. Results showed that most postgraduates agreed that the university provided facilitating conditions like internet connectivity. The majority of the respondents noted that they used Turnitin monthly. Most of the respondents noted that they used plagiarism detection software to paraphrase their work and check the correctness of the grammar in their documents. The most prominent challenges confronting plagiarism detection software use by most respondents were their inability to afford subscription payment to use the plagiarism detection software and slow internet connectivity. There was a significant positive relationship between facilitating conditions and the use of plagiarism detection software by the postgraduates of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Some of the recommendations for the institution’s management include leveraging the vast network of alumni willing to give back to the institution and intervening in the provision of internet connectivity and electricity. Online teaching and learning have caused many students and teachers with unprecedented challenges leading to a phenomenon known as the digital divide, which is the disparity between individuals who have access to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and those who do not. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the significant difference in facilitating conditions (network connection, technical issues, school infrastructure) and usage of Google Classroom for teachers in rural and urban teachers. In this study, 395 responses were collected from secondary school teachers through an online survey, that included demographic information and 22 survey items. Descriptive statistics and t-test analysis were used to analyze the data. Findings found that there are significant differences in technical issues and usage of Google Classroom for teachers in rural and urban schools. This research offers valuable insights for educational stakeholders especially the schools and government to provide tailored technical support and ongoing training to the teachers in Malaysia, especially those in rural areas. By strategically allocating educational resources and executing policies that cater to the varying needs of these different environments, it is believed that policymakers and educational stakeholders can bridge the digital divide and create educational equity nationwide. AbstractThe Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) or popularly the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic brought significant public health challenges globally. During the crisis, mobile health (m-health) services were implemented to expedite fast, convenient and reliable dissemination of health information to the public. Meanwhile, the adoption of m-health faced high uncertainty alike other COVID-19 regulatory methods. This study examines the antecedents of m-health acceptance among Zimbabwean university students. Whilst research on m-health adoption during the pandemic is still scarce, this study becomes the first to integrate the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to predict m-health adoption in a developing country. An explanatory design and a quantitative research approach were employed. Based on 271 valid responses, Structural Equation Modelling was used to estimate the proposed model. The findings revealed the positive effect of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, attitudes, behavioral norms, perceived behavioral control on behavioral intention to adopt m-health with a higher R square value (80.4%) than the original UTAUT model. The study also confirmed the positive influence of behavioral intention on m-health usage (R square = 41.5%). Health promoters were urged to design messages that stimulate positive attitudes, appeal to social groupings and improve user’s self-efficacy. M-health services should also foster use simplicity, ease of use and health value to entice m-health adoption among consumers. The study also provides an important baseline for the integration of behavioral theoretical models to enhance their predictive strength.

Introduction: M-wallets have become the most prominent financial technology in Indonesia. Thus, discerning the behavioral intention of using m-wallet apps and the related determinants is essential. This study proposes an extended indicator for facilitating conditions to fill the identified gap in previous studies. The influence of facilitating conditions on usage intention is also examined. Methods: This study employed PLS-SEM to validate our proposed indicator and research hypothesis. 122 m-wallet users in Madiun participated as the research respondents. Data from the respondents was analyzed through reflective and structural assessments. Results: The findings identified that the QR code policy was valid and reliable as an indicator for facilitating conditions. Through the structural model assessment, the impact of facilitating conditions on usage intention was found to be significant. Conclusion and suggestion: As a novel contribution, this study has provided the QR code policy as an extended indicator. In this situation, the government plays a consequential role in increasing m-wallet penetration. Moreover, m-wallet providers are suggested to take into consideration facilitating conditions, including user guidance and smartphone compatibility.

Generation Z faces diverse challenges in education amidst the swift evolution of technology. This study investigates the factors shaping Generation Z's acceptance and adoption of AI and Cloud-based applications in Oman's higher education sector. Despite limited attention to this area in Oman and the Gulf Cooperative Council countries (GCC), this research addresses the gap by employing the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) framework, recognized for its effectiveness in understanding technology adoption. Through a quantitative approach, Generation Z students in Omani higher education institutions were surveyed, and SmartPLS was utilized for analysis. Results indicate a significant positive relationship between all UTAUT antecedent factors, with Performance Expectancy being non-significant. This study offers novel insights into global understandings of Generation Z's learning trends with AI and Cloud-based applications in higher education, aiming to enhance pedagogical approaches. Notably, it pioneers such efforts within the GCC context. Recommendations for similar research in other GCC countries are provided to enrich regional perspectives. Understanding consumer intentions regarding mobile wallet (m-wallet) adoption is paramount in the mobile commerce landscape, particularly in cash-centric economies like Jordan. Despite efforts to shift toward digital payments, cash transactions remain prevalent, highlighting the need to explore m-wallet service adoption dynamics in Jordan.This study aims to identify the factors influencing Jordanian consumers’ adoption of m-wallet services, focusing on the motivations and barriers. Utilizing the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) as a theoretical foundation, the research integrates various models to assess technology acceptance. A questionnaire distributed among m-wallet users from fintech companies in Jordan garnered 421 responses, analyzed using the Smart PLS 3 software.The findings indicate a positive impact of all variables on the propensity for m-wallet adoption in Jordan. Notably, perceived usefulness, ease of use, and facilitating conditions significantly influenced user decisions, evidenced by R-square values of 0.78%, 0.758% and 0.684%, respectively. Meanwhile, perceived value, security, privacy, and social influence had a moderate effect. The attractiveness of alternatives and attitudes towards m-wallet usage showed lesser impact, with R-square values at 26.7% and 22.8%, respectively, illustrating varied influences on adoption rates in determining consumer adoption of m-wallet services in Jordan.This paper enhances research on mobile commerce in developing economies, focusing on Jordan. It explores the adoption of m-wallet services by fintech users, presenting a detailed model. The study provides valuable insights for advancing digital payment systems in this region.

Technology is rapidly mounting, and AI has transformed the financial industry rapidly. The primary objective of the research is to identify factors (like Design, Information Quality, Security, and Facilitating Conditions) that influence a customer to employ chatbot technology in the banking industry. A survey of 250 respondents was carried out utilizing an online questionnaire. The study's target respondents are customers who use banking services and chatbots through a random sampling method. The structured questionnaire employed in this study comprised two modules: one detailing the attributes of respondents and enterprises and the other containing questions on research constructs. The Stimulus Theoretical Framework and Technology Acceptance Model were tested throughout the study. The model helps to analyze the factors responsible for customer propensity that influence the use of chatbots. The research first conducted an exploratory factor analysis (EFA) to determine the measured data's structure. The internal consistency of data was tested using Cronbach's alpha values. Finally, the research hypothesis was assessed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The research findings can help banks to meet the needs of their diverse customer base. The study would help the providers of chatbot services to reduce the complexity of communication and services for the users and make the customers adopt the technology services without any intervention. One important part in the implementation of providing health services to patients in hospitals is medical records. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between dentist behavior and odontogram completeness, to analyze odontogram filling behavior from the aspect of the relationship between performance expectations, business expectations, social influence, and facilitating conditions, to improve dentist behavior towards filling odontogram completeness, and analyzed the relationship between intervention and completeness of odontogram filling.The type of research used is a qualitative research method. This paper delves into the dynamics of self-service technology (SST) with the plan to use it in fast-food restaurants, focusing on pivotal determinants that shape users' intentions to engage with these technologies. Leveraging the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) framework, the study investigates the influence of various variables such as performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, habit, facilitating condition, and technology anxiety on users' intentions to use self-service technologies. To gauge consumers' intentions regarding SST use when ordering food and drinks, we conducted a field survey, with 272 customers participating at one of the largest Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) outlets in Indonesia. The findings suggest that certain variables such as habit, influence the desire to integrate SST as well as performance and effort expectancy, whereas facilitating condition and social influence do not exert a significant impact. As anticipated, factors related to technology anxiety impede customers' intentions to use SST. The purpose of this study was to predict the likelihood that teachers would consider the Geometric AR-based Pedagogical Module (GeAR-PM) as beneficial, and study the factors that influence their decision. The data for this study was gathered via a survey method. A sample of 202 Malaysian secondary school teachers was randomly selected as respondents for this study. Specifically, the respondents were asked to answer questions using an instrument which was developed based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model. This study comprised four UTAUT variables: performance expectation, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions, and one additional variable, self-efficacy. All variables showed high reliability with Cronbach Alpha's values between 0.87 to 0.91. The data was analyzed using a binary logistic regression via Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 27.0. The findings revealed that a teacher's belief that GeAR-PM is beneficial was significantly related to his/ her perception on effort expectancy, social influence, and self-efficacy. This study aims to investigate factors affecting behavioral intention towards teaching AI in Saudi universities. A random sampling method was used. A total of 430 responses were received. There were 330 males (76.74%), and 100 females (32.25%). All participants were of Saudi nationality and spoke Arabic as their mother tongue. To investigate sample data and assess model fit, this study employs structural equation modeling (SEM). A self-report 15- item survey instrument was developed specifically for this research study, based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Study variables showed significant correlations at the .01 level. BI correlates positively with Performance expectancy (PE), Effort expectancy (EE), Social influence (SI)and Facilitating conditions (FC) (r = .555, .655, .630 and .615 respectively). Each of PE, EE, SI made significant individual contributions to the prediction of BI. The results indicated that the following beta weights which represented the relative contribution of PE, EE, SI and FC to the prediction were observed. PE (b = .411, t = 5.890, P < 0.01), EE (b = .333, t = 5.780, P < 0.01), SI (b = .297, t = 5.230, P < 0.01), and FC (b = .299, t = 5.232, P < 0.01). Together they yielded a coefficient of multiple regression (R) of 0.788 and a multiple correlation square of 0.784. With regard to the academic contribution, this work builds upon previously established and validated literature while simultaneously providing a new conceptual model.

Bitcoin gained significant popularity starting in 2017, when the price soared from around $1,000 at the beginning year to nearly $20,000 in December. The aim of this research to analyze the factors of investment in bitcoin in Indonesia. The population of the study is individual who invest in Bitcoin. The sample is purposive with 140 valid respondentsfrom social media bitcoin group. The research used quantitative with online survey, distributed during September to November 2022.The survey was analysed using Structural Equation Modelling with Smart PLS. This study found that the facilitating conditions, compatibility, trust, power prestige, and retention time positively influence the investing intention in Bitcoin. Moreover, Awareness does not have significant effect on investment intention. Gender does not moderate the facilitating conditions, awareness, compatibility, trust, power prestige, and retention time with intention to invest in Bitcoin. It implies that the provider should pay attention more on facilitating conditions, compatibility, and retention time of the Bitcoin investment in their platform.

The reluctance of university members to enter their information in International Scientometric Systems (ISSs) is counterproductive behavior for human resource management for international university rankings. The explicit goal of this research was to identify the necessary conditions for ISSs acceptance management in an Iranian academic community. To identify factors affecting the acceptance of ISSs and explore members’ attitudes towards them after a focused literature review, user feedback in training classes of ISSs was recorded through the researcher's participation during two semesters. This information was placed as components of a self-made questionnaire after multiple codings based on grand theory. Then, a self-made questionnaire technique was used to investigate correlations between these factors. Snowball sampling collected data from 86 expert users of this system, and the hypotheses were tested. In entering information in ISSs, experience of using ISSs, facilitating conditions, expected effort, and expected performance were identified. Finally, the relationships of these variables were presented based on the path analysis model. The results showed that usefulness, expected effort, experience, and facilitating conditions effectively use the systems through the willingness to use ISSs. However, the members were unwilling to use ISSs because they were not well justified about the micro and macro goals of the university ranking systems. Completing information in these diverse systems is considered time-consuming and repetitive. The existing rules for each system are considered cumbersome. Access to these systems' cookies to their personal information is not considered safe and desirable. The results' significance, implications, and limitations have also been deliberated for further research.

The banking industry has received criticism for being one of the major contributors to climate change, either directly or indirectly. In response to this, the concept of “green banking” has emerged as a way to counteract the negative impact that banks are inflicting on the environment. However, there is little research on green banking adoption from customers’ perspectives in emerging countries, particularly Pakistan. Therefore, the current study has explored and examined the different factors that influence customers’ intention to adopt green banking and afterwards use behavior by applying the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology. In addition, customers’ green values and collectivist culture were incorporated into the unified model to determine the most influential factor driving green banking proliferation. The study was conducted in Lahore, Pakistan, with the participation of 305 private bank customers. The empirical findings revealed that facilitating conditions and performance expectancy are the most significant driving factors for green banking proliferation, followed by emotional and conditional values, social influence, and effort expectancy. Surprisingly, a country with a 97% Muslim population believed in a collectivist national culture and a joint family system showed an insignificant moderating effect of collective culture on relationships. Bank managers, policymakers, and researchers should take into account these factors while designing and developing green banking products/services and policies to promote green banking proliferation in mainstream markets. Purpose: This study investigates the impact of various variables on Saudi Arabian university students' perceptions and attitudes towards AI-powered Tutoring Systems (AI-PTS). This study examines the mediating role of satisfaction in the relationship between perceived usefulness, facilitating conditions, content and navigational ease of use, instrumental value of AI-PTS adoption, and the cost and expectation to use AI-PTS. Moreover, this study looks into the moderating effect of student engagement on the relationship between satisfaction and expectancy in AI-PTS. Methodology: A survey questionnaire was used to collect data from 284 students from multiple universities in Saudi Arabia, employing the convenience sampling method. The study employed structural equation modelling (SEM) with PLS to analyse the data and assess the research hypotheses. Findings: The results indicate that satisfaction in AI-PTS partially mediates the relationship between perceived usefulness, facilitating conditions, content and navigation (ease of use), task value in AI-PTS attainment, and cost with expectancy in AI-PTS. The study's findings highlight the impact of student satisfaction on their expectations and beliefs regarding the system. Additionally, this study highlights the significant role of interpersonal engagement in reducing the relationship between satisfaction and expectancy in AI-PTS. The findings have significant implications for AI-PTS developers and users in the educational field, highlighting the importance of prioritising satisfaction and engagement. Implications: This prioritisation is crucial for enhancing students' ability to effectively utilise the technology. This study contributes to the progress of AI-PTS and Saudi Arabian higher education fields by investigating the factors that influence students' expectations and perceptions of AI-PTS. The Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) or popularly the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic brought significant public health challenges globally. During the crisis, mobile health (m-health) services were implemented to expedite fast, convenient and reliable dissemination of health information to the public. Meanwhile, the adoption of m-health faced high uncertainty alike other COVID-19 regulatory methods. This study examines the antecedents of m-health acceptance among Zimbabwean university students. Whilst research on m-health adoption during the pandemic is still scarce, this study becomes the first to integrate the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to predict m-health adoption in a developing country. An explanatory design and a quantitative research approach were employed. Based on 271 valid responses, Structural Equation Modelling was used to estimate the proposed model. The findings revealed the positive effect of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, attitudes, behavioral norms, perceived behavioral control on behavioral intention to adopt m-health with a higher R square value (80.4%) than the original UTAUT model. The study also confirmed the positive influence of behavioral intention on m-health usage (R square = 41.5%). Health promoters were urged to design messages that stimulate positive attitudes, appeal to social groupings and improve user's self-efficacy. M-health services should also foster use simplicity, ease of use and health value to entice m-health adoption among consumers.
