The article presents a study which investigates the implications on aging rusty blackbirds of the prebasic and previously undescribed prealternate molt at Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. It says that a Friedman test was used in the study to compare molt intensity in feather and a Kruskal-Wallis test to test the molt intensity variation of the aging rusty blackbirds. The result of the study shows that presence of the pale-eye ring can be used to identify the age of aging birds along with the chin.
