A reprint is presented of the article "Mountain State of mind; Cook-off at The Greenbrier elevates Appalachian cuisine," by Douglas Imbrogno, which appeared within the newspaper the "West Virginia Gazette" on January 25, 2014. The article reports on the Appalachian cooking competition known as the Cast Iron Cook-Off in Charleston, West Virginia, which was won by the chef Noah Miller for his team's making of Wilted Baby Kale, Mountain Momma Cakes, Appalachian Paella and Stone Fruit Cobbler.
