The article reports on the increased costs of livestock feeds used at the Tregeiriog Farm in Llangollen, Clwyd, Wales during winter resulting from the supplementation of grazing with extra feed blocks and silage. The pressure on cashflow and the offsetting of cost hikes by market prices prompted the receipt of the Welsh Assembly's single payment. At the end of January or early February 2011, scanning of livestock will depend on the weather. The outbreak of contagious ovine digital dermatitis in a group of ewes, meanwhile, was treated with Alamycin.
