The article presents information on a research paper which focuses on the concept of integral abutment bridge and the refurbishment processes. It refers to the construction of the longest IAB which represents the transformation of a simply supported flyover in Verona, Italy. The paper also discusses the possibility of achieving super-long IABs with the use of standard pre-fabricate cross sections and typical reinforcement ratios for foundation elements and super-structure.
