Abstract

The authors discusses the archaeological significance of Harappan sites in Western Uttar Pradesh, India. The authors wanted to understand first the general distribution pattern of the ancient sites of Harappan as a whole and its major geographical alignments. They argued that the Harappan sites should not be given any categorical label, but may only be described as sites belonging to the Harappan tradition.
