The article provides information on the contest sponsored by Willard Chemical, the Boston, Massachusetts-based manufacturer of Velva and Protection soaps. The winners of the contest were chosen from teachers who submitted the six best letters regarding the soaps. Among the judges were Albert E. Winship, editor-in-chief of the "Journal of Education" and Alice M. Turner, president of the National Woman's Protective Association. The winning entries of the contest are presented.
