The article explores changes in sea states and swell in northeastern U.S. caused by North Atlantic storm Quirin. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Ocean Prediction Center considered the storm as the last of four deep lows with hurricane-force winds that developed over the northern Atlantic. A consistent model hindcast forced by Climate Forecast System Reanalysis was used to provide full space-time coverage of the global sea state.
