The article presents a study on the variation of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) incidence in terms of geography among women in the United States. Residential regions and RA risk were examined from January 1, 1921 to May 31, 1976, with 83,546 participants reporting residence. Moreover, analysis was made among participants who stayed in one region or, moved through the years. Results show that women in New England accounted for 37% to 45% elevated risk of RA, while women living in the Midwest are incorporated with higher risk.
