The article discusses the career of U.S. parachuting pioneer John Murray, known publicly as Charles Broadwick, who designed various types of parachutes and parachute packs, and achieved fame at a young age by parachuting out of hot air balloons. His innovation of the static line deployment system is discussed, as are his public shows, assisted by his popular associate, Georgia "Tiny Broadwick" Jacobs.

Abstract

In this article, author talks about the benefits of language acquisition, along with information on the need for language skills in the workplace in the U.S. It discusses the use of language to nurture a future with a multilingual workforce within the increasingly global economy. It mentions the efforts of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages in cultivating meaningful relationships with relevant non‐language education stakeholders.
