The article focuses on a study related to the increase onset of diabetes with use of higher potency statins that was published in the June 2014 issue of the periodical. The study was conducted on 136,966 patients with age above 40 years. The study was conducted on 37,936 patients suffering with ADHD from 2006-2009 from healthcare databases of various provinces in Canada including Alberta, Manitoba and Nova Scotia. The study was funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
