The article contrasts the news media approaches used by Germany and the U.S. in addressing the issue of global warming. The environmental threat presented by global warming awakens the German's emotions beyond the political aspects of climate change. On the other hand, the U.S. news media focused their attention to the domestic and foreign policy implications on climate change that its environmental impact. Another difference between the two countries' news media is the fact that German media are less strict on the division between editorials and news as compared to the U.S. media.
