The article looks at health services for women with chronic pelvic pain (CPP) in Great Britain. CPP refers to recurrent pain of at least six months' duration, unrelated to intercourse, pregnancy or menstruation. Patients with CPP usually consult with their gynecologists or go to pain clinics. The multidisciplinary approach, which is the recommended approach to CPP, includes cognitive behavioral psychotherapy, physiotherapy, nursing support and complementary treatments such as acupuncture.
