The article analyzes economic phenomena and processes in the dairy market of Ukraine and identifies the main factors affecting them. Based on constructing an equations system, the existence of direct and inverse relationships between the determining factors of the development of the dairy market of Ukraine was established. Determining factors were checked for multicollinearity. A dependence equation was calculated for the volumes of retail turnover of milk and dairy products based on such influencing factors as average monthly salary, consumer price index, and the volume of milk product imports. The equation shows the presence of a close relationship between the determined factors and the volume of retail turnover of milk and dairy products and also between the volume of dairy products produced and the consumption of milk per capita and the production of milk by farms of all categories — appreciable. Partial coefficients of elasticity were calculated to forecast further directions of influence of determining factors on economic phenomena and processes in the dairy products market. A controlled factor has been identified, which Ukrainian dairy processing enterprises can influence by promoting their products on the market. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

At the stage of production of a wide range of agricultural products, to ensure the smooth operation of agricultural enterprises, it is necessary to solve the problems of fast and efficient delivery of relevant equipment, spare parts, and consumables with the rational use of available production resources. The research aims to improve the transport and technological system for the supply of orders in the form of consignments to meet the needs of the production activities of an agricultural enterprise. For this purpose, an simulation model was developed in the AnyLogic University Researcher environment using the Java compiler, since this toolkit allows simultaneously combining discrete-event and agent- based approaches. The model was implemented on the example of an enterprise of a separate subdivision of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine "Agronomic Research Station". As a result, a comprehensive, optimisation mathematical model of the supply of goods on an extensive network of road routes using the agricultural enterprise's fleet of vehicles under conditions of partial uncertainty was obtained. In the course of experiments and calculations based on the real process of an agricultural enterprise, a range of values of the size of the truck fleet that meets the optimisation conditions has been found. It has been determined that the range of values close to the optimal size of the unloading truck fleet varies from 9 to 14 units. It has been established that the values of the optimisation criterion describing the average delivery time from the beginning of the need for an order to the moment of its delivery vary from 9.96 to 12.78 hours. The limit level of load of the transport and technological system is determined, at which the limit level of technological fault tolerance is ensured. It is 135 or more orders per year for each supplier with an estimated fleet of 12 trucks. The results of the study, such as the use of analytical tools and algorithms to optimise routes and allocate resources, can be used to improve transport efficiency, and help companies choose the most profitable and environmentally friendly routes for transportation [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Semi-natural forests and dry grasslands are highly fragmented and influenced by human activity. Despite the small area, they serve as the refuge for habitat-specific species and enhance agrolandscape biodiversity. We studied spiders in Velykoburlutskyi Steppe Regional Landscape Park (northeastern Ukraine) for 10 years and found 224 species of 26 families; of these, 27 are rare and require protection. The araneofauna of small forests in gullies is poorer than that of the large oakeries and hosts fewer sylvatic species; the dry grassland fauna is rich, has typical steppe traits, and varies depending on topography and grazing history. The ungrazed gully hosted 125 spider species. The richest assemblages (97 species) were at the bottom, and they were similar to those of meadows and forest edges. The most typical steppe assemblages were formed on the ungrazed slope (77 species). The human-induced disturbance had a negative effect on spiders: we found only 63 species at the grazed bottom and 62 on the slope. After abrupt grazing cessation, four spider species appeared and occurred constantly at the bottom, while no species left this habitat. Grazing on the slopes declined gradually, and spider assemblages did not change significantly after the final cessation; moreover, they enriched on the abandoned slope (75 species). The presence of rare species and a variety of spider assemblages confirm the conservation value of the study site and the need to maintain its mosaic pattern. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The object of this study is the process that forms conceptual foundations for managing the impact of virtual water deficiency risks on the global food crisis. The main idea of the study focuses on determining the consequences of the global food crisis in the world under the influence of a significant reduction in virtual water exports from Ukraine to agri-food markets. It is determined that most likely, in the context of the replacement of Ukrainian exports of grain and agricultural products as a result of Russian aggression in Ukraine, the countries of the world will resort to new ways of obtaining effective imports of virtual water from other countries. The study proved that rapid structural changes in the economies of the countries of the world and the reorientation of their national economies towards the development of the agricultural sector under modern conditions of global uncertainty would inevitably lead to certain consequences. Namely, either to the fall in the growth rate of national economies, or to the state of the “bifurcation explosion” with the subsequent dispersion of possible states of development. The proposed scientific and methodological approach to assessing the sustainability of the systemic development of the territory over time for water-intensive regions makes it possible to take calculated decisions at the national level regarding the scale and prospects for the development of economic activities in the state. The described theoretical and methodological foundations of the interdependence of water and food security and the developed fundamental provisions of the economies of countries under the conditions of the global food crisis and the risk of a shortage of virtual water will create the following opportunities. Specifically, they enable state authorities to assess the depth of the specified crisis in the world and its consequences for all countries in 2022–2023. Such an understanding creates the conditions for making effective decisions on the volume of import of virtual water in a particular country. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A new organo-mineral composite was obtained by adsorption of poly [8-hydroxyquinoline methacrylate] on the surface of saponite of the Tashkiv deposit (Khmelnytsky region, Ukraine). Poly [8-hydroxyquinoline methacrylate] was synthesized by initiated radical polymerization. Immobilization of poly [8-hydroxyquinoline methacrylate] on the saponite surface was confirmed using IR spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis combined with mass spectrometry. Scanning electron microscopy revealed that the polymer almost completely covers the surface of the mineral. As a result, the porosity of the mineral surface is significantly reduced. It was found that the sorption capacity of saponite after adsorption on its surface of poly [8-oxyquinoline methacrylate] increases with respect to Cu (II) and Fe (III) ions and remains unchanged with respect to Pb (II) ions. PESTICIDES ,HONEY analysis - Abstract
To prevent pest contamination of crops, they are treated with plant defense agents, the action of which is aimed at the destruction or development and reproduction control of hazardous organisms. But also these chemical agents cause pollution of environmental ecosystems. Furthermore, the use of pesticides on honey bees often leads to mass mortality of the bees and contamination of nectar and pollen. Honey, made by the bees of such nectar, may contain pesticide residues that are toxic to a bee brood and harm the viability and productivity of bee colonies. One hundred seventy-two samples of bee honey and 40 samples of dead bees were studied from different regions of Ukraine. Eight hundred thirty-seven bee colonies died from pesticide poisoning of the honey bees in 2021. The bees most died due to thiamethoxam (523 bee colonies), clothianidin 400 (bee colonies), and lambda-cyhalothrin (342 bee colonies). In 2022, the poisoning of the honey bees, from which 1,130 bee colonies died, was caused by seven insecticides. Lambda-cyhalothrin (653 bee colonies), thiamethoxam (352 bee colonies), imidacloprid (342 bee colonies), clothianidin (325 bee colonies), and acetamiprid (320 bee colonies) were most frequently detected. 11 insecticides, 11 fungicides and 2 each of acaricides and herbicides were found in the honey. There were 425 detection cases of insecticides, 285 fungicides, 8 acaricides, and 3 herbicides. In 2021-2022, 16 insecticides of the 3rd toxicity class were found in the dead bees. Newly formed territorial communities acquire a real subjectivity in the processes of the management of territorial development: they become responsible for a significant share of day-to-day economic activities within their sphere of responsibility, especially in territories with a predominantly rural population. This article aimed to study the changing role of local self-government in ensuring the economic development of the low-urbanized territory, determining public opinion and expectations of residents from local governments in the new conditions. A public opinion poll of residents living in selected local communities was conducted. This article identified the objective factors of the level and pace of newly formed territorial communities' development in Ukraine. It has been proved that the decentralization of power changes the role of local government and the expectations of residents from it and their assessments of the situation at the local level. OINTMENTS , *RISK assessment , *SPECIALTY pharmacies , *PARETO analysis , *QUALITY assurance - Abstract
The level of compounded medicines (CM) quality has always been questioned in different countries. This problem has been resolved by the introduction of quality assurance system (QAS) standards. One of its main areas of significance is the risks assessment process, which is especially important for the compounding pharmacy according to the requirements of different international documents. Since ointments constitute a large part of CM, quantity assessment of risks for their quality by the FMECA method has been completed. During the first step of the research, 42 potential deviations of compounded ointments (CO) quality were identified. Via the questioning of compounding pharmacies specialists in different regions of Ukraine by a pre-developed ten-point scale, the severity of deviations consequence, their occurrence probability, and detecting possibility were determined followed by the calculation of the priority risk number (PRN) value. The Pareto analysis showed that nine possible CO quality defects represented 21% of their total number. Defects related to the composition or technology of ointments (29%) and their compliance with microbiological purity requirements (23%) had the largest percentage contribution to the total PRN value. It was also found that the deviations consequence had the most serious impact on the CO quality, due to their direct influence on patient health. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

SUBJECTIVITY ,EDUCATION policy ,UNIVERSITIES & colleges ,TEACHERS ,EDUCATIONAL change - Abstract
The article formulates the basic principles of forming the subjectivity of the future teacher in the Ukrainian educational field, which is in a transitional stage between modernist and postmodernist paradigms. Based on the analysis of secondary data (world neuro pedagogical and Ukrainian methodological experience) the directions of optimization of the educational space of Ukraine with the aim of deepening its subjective orientation are formulated. The international significance of the article lies in the possibility of using the achievements in reforming the educational policy and educational process of developing countries and having strong residual traditions of postcolonial consciousness. Subjectivity has been shown to have a natural biosocial basis as one of the main goals of education. The main stages of formation of the subjectivity of the future teacher in the conditions of reforming of higher education are outlined. It is argued that in the process of conscious and motivated educational activity of a student in the higher educational institutions of Ukraine there is ontogenetic environment, the main manifestations of which are social and professional subjectivity. This is the result of the actual formation and development of its subjectivity in the following areas: the subject of educational activity; the subject of educational quasi-professional activity; the subject of his own mental activity; the subject of pedagogical activity in primary school. On the 24th of February 2022, the Russian Federation began an unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, marking the biggest military attack in Europe since the second world war. Over 4 million people have fled their homeland within the first month of the war and have triggered a large refugee crisis with impacts far beyond the Ukrainian border. People in the neighboring countries have shown tremendous support by stepping forward to donate food, clothes, medications, money, and other essential supplies. The governments and other regional stakeholders have also been supportive in accommodating and easing regulations for the incoming refugees. Herein, we summarize the humanitarian measures and medical donations that have been made by European countries as they stepped up their efforts to provide refugees with all necessary basic services. We further highlight potential oncoming challenges in Ukraine and the host countries along with relevant solutions to these challenges. The current scenario highlights the need for multi-party and multi-level collaborations (both public and private) to tackle the emerging situation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

It is established that the aqueous solutions of N, S-containing mineral fertilizers cause intense corrosion damages to 20 and St3 steels, which affects the service lives of structural elements of the equipment used for general and special purposes. The corrosion rate of steel becomes 6.9–11.3 times higher as compared with tap water. It was discovered that, as the sulfur content in the composition of fertilizers increases to 5.32–5.34% and the nitrogen content decreases, the corrosion fracture of steel becomes less intense. It is proposed to improve the corrosion protection of steel structures and equipment in the media of N, S-containing mineral fertilizers by applying the RS-ChDTU environmentally friendly inhibitor made on the basis of the products of processing of vegetable raw materials in Ukraine. The determination of factors that adversely affect the populations of rare plant species and development of measures to eliminate them are the important conditions for maintaining the rare component of natural flora. The article describes the study of forest phytocoenoses in the eastern territory of South-Podolsk Forest Steppe of Ukraine. The influence of natural conditions, morphological and physiological features of Sorbus torminalis (L.) Crantz on the distribution and population density in the studied region was analysed. The species is found in 80 quarters of different forestry districts with the population densities ranging from single to 300 individuals per hectare. The rare species has little prospect of natural seed restoration. The natural reforestation process of Sorbus torminalis is largely due to the specific conditions of phytocoenosis, age and vital structure of the forest stand. Most local populations have a low lifecycle. Very rare seed reproduction makes this species extremely vulnerable to the effects of any negative factors. In the oak-hornbeam plantations, the plants of reproductive age prevail, but with the die-back of old individuals, the influx of renewal has almost disappeared. According to the results of the studied region, the oak plantations with Sorbus torminalis are found to have better values of the species distribution in the protected area compared to the recreational and economic ones (Sorbus torminalis remains in any sanitary condition in the plantations and on clean felling). Artificial resettlement should be carried out in places with a small projective cover of the vegetation, and Sorbus torminalis should be introduced into Quercus robur cultures as an associate species. This territory is the northeast boundary of the natural growth of the species. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The main task of vocational schools in the system of penitentiary authorities and institutions is to ensure the right of citizens to vocational training following their inclinations, interests and abilities to improve their adaptation after release from prison. The paper aims to experimentally verify pedagogical conditions for developing professional competency in students from vocational schools of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine during their study of humanities and general professional disciplines. A total of 380 students from vocational education institutions of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine were divided into a control group (CG – 180 respondents) and an experimental group (EG – 200 respondents). It became necessary to introduce four pedagogical conditions (using the potential of a personalityoriented approach to boosting motivation towards learning; humanizing the relationships between teachers and students; reinforcing professional orientations of students by introducing innovative pedagogical technologies; improving personal and professionally important qualities based on the introduction of the specialized course, titled “Developing the Individuality of Convictsâ€) to enhance the effectiveness of developing professional competency in convicts. Diagnostic methods, standardized tests, specially designed author’s questionnaires and surveys, pedagogical consultative methods were employed to obtain reliable information. The number of EG respondents with a creative level has increased significantly, namely, from 18 (9.0%) to 53 (26.50%). In CG, however, these numbers are lower: from 14 (7.78%) to 18 (10.00%). The obtained results prove the effectiveness of the author’s approach to developing professional competency based on the introduction of pedagogical conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The entry of Ukraine into the European Union significantly expands the boundaries of cooperation with different countries of the world. Compliance with the European requirements in the marketing sector will greatly increase the efficiency of its operation in the regions of Ukraine. The method of estimating the development of social infrastructure in the resource support of the management mechanism aimed at increasing the competitiveness of the transport system of the region by the integral indicator, which characterizes the level of social development of the region, is developed in the work. The integral indicator is defined as the sum of the ratios of the current and maximum partial indicators of population security by type of services in the region. The components of the process of social development assessment have been introduced: a limitation on the magnitude of each type of resource used to improve social development indicators; specific expenses of each type of resource in the region in support and improvement of the indicator of social development; the magnitude of the growth of the provision of the region for each indicator of social development; the function of the priorities of social development in the region for each indicator. It is believed that using the results of calculations using the proposed method will increase the validity of relevant management decisions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

GONORRHEA ,NEISSERIA gonorrhoeae ,SEXUALLY transmitted diseases ,NUCLEIC acid amplification techniques - Abstract
Gonorrhea is the second most common sexually transmitted infection spreading worldwide and a serious public health problem. However, further data are required to improve the management of gonorrhea. Our aim was to review the features of gonococcal infection and characterize the challenges of its management. A retrospective descriptive study of the medical records of 136 adult patients with gonorrhea that visited Ternopil Regional Sexually Transmitted Infections Clinic (Ukraine) in 2013-2018 was performed. The male-to-female ratio was 6.6:1. Homosexually-acquired gonorrhoea was 3.7%. Also, most patients acquired gonorrhea in Ukraine (98.4%). The mean infectious period lasted 2-16 days, including the incubation period of 1-9 days and the period from the onset of symptoms to the first visit of the clinic of 1-7 days. The probability of N. gonorrhoeae transmission within the frame of the epidemiologic sexual chain was 1:2.4. Concurrent T. vaginalis (39.7%) and C. trachomatis (2.2%) were detected. HIV and syphilis screening rates were 1.6% and 0.7%, respectively. The examining rate of sexual partners was 11%, testing extragenital specimens - 0.7%, screening coverage for HIV - 46.3%, compliance with follow-up visits - 41.9%. Part of patients (16.2%) received monotherapy with clarithromycin, doxycycline, benzylpenicillin, azithromycin, or ofloxacin. The management of N. gonorrhoeae infections was compromised by a low rate of examining sexual partners, females and testing extragenital specimens, screening for HIV, compliance to follow-up visits, access to nucleic acid amplification tests, and receiving questionable or even obsolete antimicrobial treatment. Therefore, more accurate and comprehensive management of gonorrhea is urgently needed in Ukraine. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

ARTHROPODA , *STEPPES , *ARTHROPOD diversity , *GROUND cover plants , *PLANTS , *FIRE ecology - Abstract
Being an essential driving factor in dry grassland ecosystems, uncontrolled fires can cause damage to isolated natural areas. We investigated a case of a small-scale mid-summer fire in an abandoned steppe pasture in northeastern Ukraine and focused on the post-fire recovery of arthropod assemblages (mainly spiders and beetles) and vegetation pattern. The living cover of vascular plants recovered in a year, while the cover of mosses and litter remained sparse for four years. The burnt site was colonised by mobile arthropods occurring in surrounding grasslands. The fire had no significant impact on arthropod diversity or abundance, but changed their assemblage structure, namely dominant complexes and trophic guild ratio. The proportion of phytophages reduced, while that of omnivores increased. The fire destroyed the variety of the arthropod assemblages created by the patchiness of vegetation cover. In the post-fire stage they were more similar to each other than at the burnt plot in the pre- and post-fire period. Spider assemblages tended to recover their pre-fire state, while beetle assemblages retained significant differences during the entire study period. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Given the current integration processes of the world economies, the issue of economic security of the state is extremely acute. The openness of markets facilitates the free flow of resources but also threatens the rapid transfer of crisis phenomena from one economy to another. There is a need to develop an innovative methodological tool for assessing the level of economic security in the country based on the calculation of a generalized indicator that will serve as a benchmark in the formation of state economic policy in the context of ensuring its sustainable growth and countering internal and external threats. The methodological tools of the study are methods of normalization, Fishburn’s rule, multiplicative model. Assessment of economic security level in the article is carried out in the following logical sequence: formation of an extended list of indicators characterizing the economic security of the state; characteristics of indicators in terms of opportunities and risk; determining the priority of indicators in the summarizing indicator; bringing indicators to a single measurement system; calculation of the integral indicator of economic security by constructing a multiplicative model; qualitative interpretation of the integral indicator of economic security. The results of the selection of relevant factors influencing the economic security of the state revealed that the selected determinants confirm the hypothesis of financialization of all economic processes in Ukraine and the need for state regulation of the financial system in order to ensure economic security. Empirical calculations have shown that during 2008–2018, Ukraine's level of economic security can be assessed as medium or low, and its dynamics correlate with crisis processes in the financial and economic sector and exacerbation of political instability in the country. Taking into account the low level of economic security in Ukraine, the authors elaborated a set of measures to improve the state regulation of economic security within the institutional, procedural and functional elements of it, as well as substantiate the impact of the proposed innovations on the economic security of the state. The results of the research can be useful for governments in order to adequately respond to destabilizing factors in the national economy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The most common ventilation system in residential buildings in Ukraine is natural ventilation. In recent years, due to increased tightness of structures, an increase in the content of synthetic finishing materials in them, the quality of microclimate parameters deteriorated. One of the measures to improve the parameters of indoor air in residential buildings is the use of mechanical inflow and exhaust ventilation system. In this article the regulatory documents concerning the design of ventilation systems in Ukraine and Estonia and the requirements for air exchange in residential buildings are considered. It is established that the existing normative documents in Ukraine are analogous to European norms, which allow design the system of ventilation of residential buildings according to European standards. However, the basis for the design of ventilation systems in Ukraine is the national standards, in which mechanical ventilation, unfortunately, is provided only for the design of high-rise buildings. To maintain acceptable microclimate parameters in residential buildings, it is advisable for designers to apply the requirements for designing ventilation systems in accordance with European standards. The aim of this study was to describe the flora and vegetation of the grasslands of Northeastern Ukraine and to analyse how the steppe vegetation responds to grazing or its abandonment. We studied two gully systems in the east of the Kharkiv Region: the Regional Landscape Park "The Velykyi Burluk-Steppe" (steppe grasslands on chernozem soils; 10 sites) and the National Nature Park "Dvorichanskyi" (steppe grasslands on chalky outcrops; 5 sites). Longterm monitoring data exist for both these sites starting in 1991, shortly after grazing intensity reduced. We recorded the major grassland plant communities (reflecting their successional status) as well as their dominant species. Tree and scrub encroachment increased after management ceased. We conclude that (i) heterogeneous grazing (including ungrazed patches) in space and time is necessary in order to preserve grassland biodiversity in our study system; (ii) erosion of chalky outcrops (natural erosion as well as driven by cattle grazing) is a key factor promoting the richness of cretaceous species in steppe grassland. Cattle grazing is a traditional agricultural activity and one of the obligatory factors for maintaining steppe ecosystems. The impact of grazing depends on its intensity, site area, soil, topography, and microclimatic conditions. Both intensive grazing and long-term cessation differently affect various components of the steppe biota. During the research, cursorial spiders and true bugs were collected in grazed and ungrazed gullies in northeastern Ukraine. Seventy true bug and 73 spider species were recovered from the ungrazed gully and 65 true bug and 50 spider species from the grazed one. More than a 20-year grazing cessation resulted in the partial overgrowth of the gully bottom by arboreal and shrub vegetation and the predominance of meadow herb species. Consequently, spider assemblages being the richest in species number and individuals lost their steppe traits. Ungrazed south-facing slope covered with typical steppe vegetation harbored the most steppe-like spider assemblage and maintained abundance of steppe specialists. Spider assemblages of the grazed gully were the poorest. Species richness, number of individuals and ecological groups of true bugs depended on orographic conditions, being more divers on the gully slopes (58–60 species vs. 42–44 species in the bottoms). The true bug individual numbers were the highest on the grazed slope while in the bottoms it did not change with grazing. In general, cursorial spiders were better indicators of the grazing pressure than true bugs. At the study site, no specific pastoral assemblages of both arthropod groups were indentified. Nevertheless, patched grazing was necessary for maintaining steppe-like vegetation and arthropod assemblages in the gully bottoms. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article is devoted to the describing of shadow economy in Ukraine and proposing methods to legalize it. In Ukraine shadow economy has some special features. It can be considered as the only possible behavior of entrepreneurs in the conditions of social and economic instability, legislative and administrative confusion. Deep-rooted corruption creates auspicious environment for existing of shadow sector. So there're special methods to fight against this phenomenon and they're examined in this article. Shadow economy can be divided into two groups: crime and corruption and entrepreneurs who are forced to hide their incomes. First group includes drugs and weapons trade, racketeers, corrupt officials. Criminal structures act mostly in the sphere of distribution and redistribution of profits. Second group of shadow economy includes shadow entrepreneurs who are unsatisfied with tax burden and different barriers in doing business. Shadow entrepreneurs are the most interested in changing the situation as it will increase life quality in the country. To struggle with shadow economy it's important to estimate its volume. The latter is done in the article according to the Ukrainian government and foreign experts. Thus, according to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, which is responsible for this indicator, shadow economy is equal to approximately one third of Ukraine's GDP. These data don't coordinate with the reports provided by relevant international institutions and foreign scientists. For example, the latest available result of World Bank's investigations shows that it is a half of the GDP. Recently adopted Ukrainian laws are analyzed in the article as to their efficiency in the field of prevention of corruption, such as first Tax Code of Ukraine, the Law on Access to Public Information and the Law on Prevention and Combating Corruption. Methods to legalize shadow economy in Ukraine are proposed, for example creation of favorable environment for business development, improvement of tax system, overcoming of illegal labor market, raising of public awareness, enforcement of capacity of power, strict punitive measures for corruption and raiders, minimizing of government regulation of various spheres of life, etc. Mechanisms proposed in this article will help to reduce the shadow economy and to increase the efficiency of legal economy [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
