Abstract

The article presents a case study of a 51-year-old postmenopausal woman who presented with a right adnexal mass. Ultrasound revealed a normal left ovary but an enlarged right ovary; in explorative laparotomy a solid- cystic mass was found in the right ovary; total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral adnexectomy were performed. Pathological and immunohistochemical results led to the diagnosis of female adnexal tumor of probable Wolffian origin (FATWO); 1 year after surgery she was asymptomatic.
