The phenomenon of migration varies according to factors in many different dimensions, this study deals with irregular migration and the events that occur in this context. Turkey, due to its geopolitical position, is a transit country in the irregular migration issue, in comparison with neighboring countries, Turkey has become a transit country for migrants due to its relatively higher level of development compared to Middle Eastern countries located to its south and east, and its lower level of development compared to European countries. In this study, the results and reasons for Syrian refugee’s attempts to use Turkey as a transit country and cross to Greece over the Aegean Sea will be analyzed from the perspective of Barry Buzan’s ‘Regional Security Complex Theory. This study focuses on the problem of whether a regional security complex has emerged in the Balkans due to the migration movement resulting from the Syrian Civil War, using Buzan’s theory as a framework, between Turkey and Greece. The island of Cyprus, which has been one of the focal points of many states throughout history, was founded in the 20th century. it has caused serious events between the Turkish and Greek people in the Dec. The Greeks, through the terrorist organization they established, forced the Turks living on the island to leave the island with cruelty and massacre. Greece also secretly supported the atrocities committed on the island, Turkey first made diplomatic attempts to protect its own racists, and when it did not get results, it resorted to military intervention. This intervention, which will go down in history as the Cyprus Peace Operation, has had many reflections both inside and outside. The operation was closely followed by both the local press and the national press and the world press. July August 20, 1974 and August 14, 1974, Turkey, in order to protect the lives, property and honor of the Turkish Cypriots on the island of Cyprus, in this study, we will consider the reflections of the local press of Izmir, the city of liberation, we will consider. There are several problems between Turkey and Greece that they can be examined under many separate headings. Problems such as continental shelf, territorial waters, airspace, and not least the Cyprus conflict, have become extremely difficult to deal with as both sides have their own legal arguments. These problems, which have been on the agenda especially since the 1970s, became political and diplomatic crises and continue to be so today as well. Even though it might be assumed that the existing problems have existed since the second half of the 20th century, the origins of these problems go back to the Ottoman Empire and the existence of Greece as an independent state. The main reason for this study is to shed light on the problem of the Aegean Islands--which are scattered in the form of islands, islets, and rocks right in front of the Turkish mainland in the Aegean Sea; remained under Turkish domination for 400 years; creates security concerns from a geopolitical standpoint and can be described as indispensable--and on Greece's attitude towards the existing problems that goes against international law. This study analyzes the common discourse “we were left here” which is frequently expressed in the interviews made with Muslim-Turkish minority’s prominents, political representatives, and in local broadcast organs, through utilizing trust teories and Brubaker’s triadic nexus between the minorities- home states and kin states, showing the expression has been multiplied by generations. Why does this community which has been represented in Greek politics at local and national level since 1920 and citizens of an EU member state since 1981, maintain this discourse? This community, whose ethnic identity has been denied, its minority rights have been violated by Greece under the reciprocity rule, and fails to construct a trust relationship with the home state, perceives the Treaty of Lausanne and the kin-state Turkey as guarantor elements for the protection of their rights. This study claims that in terms of politial behavior, minority groups are in contact with both the Greek and Turkish governments. However, the continuation of strong bonds with Turkey originates due to their late organizational skills; the lack of a political and spiritual leader uniting them; weak abilities in their commands of language and several problems in education. 1929 Economic Crisis had especially affected the developed industrialized countries. Yet also, it cannot be ignored that the underdeveloped agricultural countries owning sensitive balances, had been going under the influence of the Crisis. The Crisis had affected these three countries in a similar way. The concrete indicators of the Crisis such as the price decreases of the agricultural products, the negative effects on the peasants, the decrease of the purchasing power, the deflation of the export capacity had been clear to display the effects in Turkey. This study aspired to examine how these two countries had applied the foreign debt policies simultaneously, and it also aimed to display how kind of a future was being prepared for these countries by the applied policies. The foreign debt policies of all of these three countries had been determinant with a large portion on the subsequent policies. The geographical closeness in the Near East, the historical commonalities along with these countries' geopolitical position open to the political and economic maneuvers of the imperialist powers had been the basic factors determining the selection of these countries. The Aegean Dispute has an important place in relations between Turkey and Greece. The large number of islands in the Aegean Sea and the lack of borders brought the two countries to the brink of war many times. The Aegean Dispute, which continued to exist from the very beginning of the Cold War to the present, has also affected the USA's regional interests. The Central Intelligence Service CIA has closely followed the developments in the Aegean Sea, as a hot conflict between the two countries in the Western Block during the Cold War years will negatively affect the interests of the USA in the region. In this process, CIA tried to shape the attitude of the USA in the face of developments by acting in partnership with other intelligence agencies of the USA. Therefore, the CIA Archive contains a rich content about the Aegean Dispute. In the study, while focusing on the general condition of the islands during the Cold War, the developments are discussed in the light of CIA archive documents. The main aim of this paper is to compare the experience of regulation and restructuring in the Greek and the Turkish electricity industries. For this purpose, a comparison of data on the two industries is employed. A quantitative analysis of the impact of restructuring these two countries' presented and complemented with an evaluation of relevant legislation, policy changes and regulation scores. The paper shows that the electricity industries in Turkey and Greece have undergone a radical restructuring, but which remains an ongoing process. The main conclusion is that the two industries face number of challenges, and that institutional and political reforms ensuring the smooth functioning of the electricity industries thus need to be enacted. In this study, the Cyprus policy of Turkey is analysed between the years 1950-1960 when the Democratic Party was in power. In the period in question, structure of bi-communal state in Cyprus was laid. Therefore, this period, has witnessed important developments which have multi-dimensional effects nowadays as well in terms of both Turkey's foreign policy, and the future of Turkish society living in Cyprus. During the process that provides the rise of The Republic of Cyprus gradually, the Democratic Party's vision and the policy followed about the island's international status and the future of the people of the island have been analysed in three phases. As a result of the study during which the archive documents greatly benefited, it is seen that Turkey which had to leave Cyprus to the UK with the Lausanne Peace Treaty 1923, became eligible in Cyprus again thanks to the Democratic Party's foreign policy. This article intends to analyze the problematic known by the international public opinion as "the Pontus Question," which can be summarized as the uprisings of the Greek subjects living in the Black Sea Region of the Ottoman Empire during the last years of the Empire and the Turkish National Struggle, the subsequent inter-communal clashes, and the migration of these Greek subjects to Greece with the population exchange. Within this framework, it examines the historical and socio-cultural background of this question and elaborates why and how it has nowadays been presented to the intern ational public opinion as "the Pontic Genocide" allegations. The terms 'palaeotectonic' and 'neotectonic' are entrenched in the literature of Anatolian geology, used to subdivide the tectonic history before and after the last major tectonic change, which is frequently linked to the Arabia-Eurasia collision and the onset of westward Anatolian escape along the North Anatolian Fault Zone. This short note, however, illustrates that many different authors use different definitions for the age and cause of onset, and style of 'neotectonics', leading to needless confusion in Turkish geological literature. In addition, in recent years it has become common practice to use the neotectonic period as a stratigraphic correlation tool, leading to interpretations of the age of sedimentary units ('neotectonic units') based on the inferred tectonic context in which they were deposited. This practice should be abandoned, and authors should in all cases return to classical stratigraphic and structural nomenclature. Based on the wide array of meanings that authors attach to the term 'neotectonic' , it is advocated here that this terminology should be abandoned altogether, and replaced by simple description of what is meant. Between Turkey and Greece, there are a number of questions which are based on the exceptional nature of the Aegean Sea and which are chained to each other. Those questions can be grouped under the name of the "Aegean Question". The abovementioned questions between the two countries whose intensity varies form time to time are principally the ones concerning the territorial waters, continental shelf, airspace, disarmament and demilitarisation of the islands and the state of belonging concerning the islands, islets and rockies. The essential and thus the most important of the abovementioned questions is to be considered as the territorial waters question, and so the airspace question which constitues the subject of the present work is directly related to the territorial waters question. The present work aims to respond the following question: "What is the Place of the Question Concerning the Limitation of the Turkish and Greek Airspaces on the Aegean Question?" Thus, the aim of the present work will be the demonstration of the national airspace question in the Aegean Sea in the framework of the historical background and also the thesis of the parties, and finally to analyse the place of the abovementioned question in the totality of the Aegean Question. The System of Millet in the Ottoman Empire, which ensured peaceful cohabitation of various ethnic and religious groups within the empire for many centuries, dissolved in the 19th century with the impact of nationalist movements. Thus, one of the questions that rised with the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, and that was inherited by the Turkish Republic was the minorities. In the beginning of 19th century sequential riots started in Crete, which had been included in Ottoman lands in 1669. Greece was the trigger for this disturbance on the island. The autonomy in 1897 and the annexation decision in 1908 were the cornerstones of the island's destiny. The following period there were important events which led Crete to be separated from the Ottoman Empire. In fact, the main issues were firstly Muslim members of Crete parliament were asked to take an oath of loyalty to Greek King; secondly, Ottoman cadis were not accepted on the island; finally Greek members' efforts to join Greek parliament. Marchalina hellenica is the main honeydew producing insect of pine trees. It is endemic to Greece and Turkey and introduced to the Italian island of Ischia. It has one generation per year and the adult females appear on the trees only after mid March. Studies on the genetic structure of the insect show that the low genetic variability may be due to the fact that it can not be dispersed long distances in correlation with the parthenogenetic reproduction. The amount of honeydew produced by the insect varies over the year and mainly depends on the size and age of the nymphs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
