The article presents a study on the prevalence of Onchocerca lupi in the eyes resulting to ocular filariasis. The study discusses two cases of ocular filariasis such as one involving a 26-year-old male from Turkey and another eight-year-old child from Tunisia. It performed various methods including histological examinations, light microscopy and mitochondrial cytochrome amplification. Results show that the first case involved O. lupi according to the morphology at various tests, while findings for the second case coincides with O. lupi. It concludes that O. lupi infestation is not a rare finding, but should be a concern in the differential diagnosis of zoonotic helminths.
