As shopping patterns have gradually shifted from offline to online mode, and with recent lockdowns during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic restricting foreign trade and accelerating the growth of the domestic economy, digital transformation has become a major strategy for many retailers to support and expand their businesses. With the pandemic becoming a turning point, the business of major e-commerce companies in Taiwan in the retail of dry goods has grown significantly, and it has driven the online sales of fresh products as well. In this era of fierce competition, it is especially important to find a way that enables consumers to quickly find ideal fresh products on multiple platforms, shortens the time for price comparison, and improves the efficiency of online shopping. This study uses the Python programming language to write a web crawler program that captures product information from fresh food e-commerce platforms, including product introduction, price, origin, and sales volume, and then defines the relevant status of the product, such as product popularity. Accordingly, through Chinese text segmentation and term-frequency calculation, it aims to classify the product names and introductions into frequently occurring words and use them as product-related labels. Finally, the program combines the product information processing results and product-related labels to construct an online fresh food recommendation system. The results of the proposed system show that it reduces the time and energy spent comparing prices. It can also guide consumers to browse products that may be of interest using relevant tags and increase consumption efficiency by helping them find the ideal item when shopping. The wrapping layer's foaming process of the car steering wheel industry usually relies on the manual parameter setting by experienced engineers, but the reliability and validity are usually hard to control due to many foaming factors that affect the hardness of steering wheel wrapping layer (e.g., vulcanization time, mold temperature, material liquid temperature, material discharge pressure, humidity). This paper first proposes an intelligent process parameter recommendation system architecture, then develops a neural network-based hardness prediction (NNHP) model to predict the car steering wheel's wrapping hardness. Consequently, we combine NNHP and genetic algorithm (GA) to develop a foaming process parameter recommendation model (NNHP-GA) to effectively recommend the most suitable combinations of process parameters for achieving the desired wrapping hardness in an IoT-based intelligent manufacturing environment. An empirical study is applied in Taiwan's world-leading car steering wheel company. By analyzing the 16 important process sensor data installed in each casting machine, the five experimental results show that the NNHP-GA recommendation system can successfully predict the hardness of the steering wheel's wrapping layer and recommend appropriate process parameters (e.g., sensors S1-vulcanization time, S2-mold temperature, S5-A.P. pressure, S6-B.I. pressure, and "pressurization time") under a specific hardness target. In view of the defect of a large amount of information on cultural resources and poor recommendation effect on a standalone platform, a cultural recommendation system based on the Hadoop platform was proposed, combined with the convolutional neural network (CNN). It aims to improve the adaptability of Chinese culture and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan culture. Firstly, the CNN is used to encode the collected information deeply and map it to the deep feature space. Secondly, the attention mechanism is used to focus the coded features in the deep feature space to improve the classification ability of features. Then, the model in this article is deployed using the distributed file system of the Hadoop platform, and the MapReduce programming model is used to implement the cultural resource recommendation algorithm in parallel. Finally, the recommendation simulation experiment of cultural resources is carried out, and the results show that the proposed model has good recommendation performance, and it is applied to open-source data in the real public health field to test, and the results also perform well. Abstract: Successfully designing and positioning product/service will lead most enterprises to have the chance to keep the competitive advantages, and consumers also will have clear and strong preferences for product/service (P/S) during competitive environment. At Taiwan, study abroad service which being provided by travel agencies can be viewed as a new market during the recent years. Most travel agencies intend to develop the novel techniques and mine the useful business intelligence (BI) for improving their quality of P/S or adjusting their strategies of marketing. In this article, a recommendation expert system (ES) based on mental accounting and artificial neural networks (ANNs) is proposed to address the issue of BI mining. The travel agencies can obtain BI relating to consumers’ decision-making, consumers’ responses for different mental accounting and the recommended features for P/S by inputting referenced information into such recommendation ES. Finally, we also take an illustrative example owing to a local travel agency at Taiwan to demonstrate the feasibility and rationality of the proposed architecture. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Abstract: Project management is an experience-driven and knowledge-centralized activity. Therefore, project managers require some assistance to reduce the uncertainty at the early stage of constructing project plans. To overcome the predicament faced by project managers, this investigation proposes a hierarchical criteria architecture (HCA) to enable project managers to describe project requirements adequately. Furthermore, to solve HCA problems, a revised case-based reasoning (RCBR) algorithm, is presented and a recommender system for software project planning is implemented, based on multiple objectives decision techniques and the mining approach. Finally, the proposed RCBR algorithm is successfully applied to analyze 41 real projects from a software consultancy in Taiwan. Experimental results demonstrate that RCBR can efficiently provide related information to help project managers to construct project plans at an early stage. Additionally, the knowledge discovery process of RCBR provides project managers with results similar to what-if analysis. The knowledge can enable project managers to obtain feasible information to re-schedule project resources, and bargain with their customers in the early project planning stage. Abstract: Weblog is a good paradigm of online social network which constitutes web-based regularly updated journals with reverse chronological sequences of dated entries, usually with blogrolls on the sidebars, allowing bloggers link to favorite site which they are frequently visited. In this study we propose a blog recommendation mechanism that combines trust model, social relation and semantic analysis and illustrates how it can be applied to a prestigious online blogging system – wretch in Taiwan. By the results of experimental study, we found a number of implications from the Weblog network and several important theories in domain of social networking were empirically justified. In econophysics, the achievements of information filtering methods over the past 20 years, such as the minimal spanning tree (MST) by Mantegna and the planar maximally filtered graph (PMFG) by Tumminello et al., should be celebrated. Here, we show how one can systematically improve upon this paradigm along two separate directions. First, we used topological data analysis (TDA) to extend the notions of nodes and links in networks to faces, tetrahedrons, or k-simplices in simplicial complexes. Second, we used the Ollivier-Ricci curvature (ORC) to acquire geometric information that cannot be provided by simple information filtering. In this sense, MSTs and PMFGs are but first steps to revealing the topological backbones of financial networks. This is something that TDA can elucidate more fully, following which the ORC can help us flesh out the geometry of financial networks. We applied these two approaches to a recent stock market crash in Taiwan and found that, beyond fusions and fissions, other non-fusion/fission processes such as cavitation, annihilation, rupture, healing, and puncture might also be important. We also successfully identified neck regions that emerged during the crash, based on their negative ORCs, and performed a case study on one such neck region. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
