Dragon blood is the most expensive sap in the world. Is a resin that is found in the flesh and surface of the fruit skin of mature jernang. The use of jernang resin is for medicinal materials (antiseptic, asthma, syphilis), raw material for dyes in the ceramic, marble, auxiliary, wood, paper and pharmaceutical industries. The resin is obtained from the extraction of jernang fruit which grows only on the islands of Sumatra and Kalimantan. Currently jernang resin is also an export product to China, Hong Kong, and Singapore, because it contains dracohordin compounds which have the potential as biological medicinal agents and pharmacological activities such as antimicrobial, antiviral, anti-tumor, and cytotoxic activity. Most of the resin processing that is carried out is using traditional methods, especially in the Bireun area, located in Geulanggang Teungoh Village, Juang Bireuen City District. The traditional processing process is carried out to obtain resin quality B which is based on SNI. For this reason, a slicer is made so that the deposition is not done repeatedly, so that with the performance of this tool, it can obtain a better-quality final result in jernang resin based on SNI 1671: 2010. The classification of jernang quality is resin content, moisture content, ash content, impurity content, melting point and color. This machine is designed to separate water and resin as a substitute for the jernang deposition process, so that this machine can be applied in trucks with other jernang fruit processing machines (grating and drying). The hope of the results of this research is to be able to produce the performance of a jernang resin separator machine which makes it easier for users to operate the machine and is more efficient and economical, so that it can help jernang farmers to increase productivity than before. The resin draining machine that is carried out by performance analysis has multi-functional criteria, apart from being a tool for draining water, resin jernang can also be used for draining all kinds of wet and oily products. It is easy to operate and maintain, is not noisy, does not cause pollution (environmentally friendly) and is safe, so it can support the effectiveness of the production process, is able to increase production capacity and has a size and shape that is suitable for small industrial spaces and is easily moved.
