The identification of students with high abilities must be a priority in any education system. In our country, the identification deficit is notorious, partly due to the absence of adequate instruments. The participation of teachers is a key element in this process. This work offers the first construct validation process of the Gifted Rating Scales (GRS 2-P) for Early Childhood Teachers for the identification of gifted in Spain. A confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) for ordinal variables and estimation (ULSMV) has been carried out on a sample of 134 teachers. Six models have been tested, of which the five-factor model corresponding to the original of the scale has been chosen, which has shown adequate adjustment values (2/gl, 1.44; CFI .92; TLI, .93; RMSEA, .057). For its part, the Average Variance Explained (AVE) has taken values between .45 - .74. Composite reliability shows values between .89 to .96. Although there are other empirically plausible models, we have opted for this solution adjusted to the original (M1), although further studies are suggested to confirm this point. The importance of having adequat ely validated instruments is considered essential in gifted identification processes that must incorporate various sources of information, such as that provided by teachers. The paper concentrates the reader's attention to the origin and development of the Spanish historicphilosophical tradition. The paper introduces the names of outstanding researchers and their direct mentors in the suggested scientific area who gave a certain impulse for investigating a philosophical thought in Spain. Special attention is paid to the main academic centers that contributed greatly to the Spanish history theory of philosophy and rational thought as a science, revealing their characteristic features. Finally, the paper centers around a challenging dilemma for the Spanish intellectual elite whether to protect the idea of national philosophical thought or to deny it. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article is a critical approach to the concept of "Basque cinema" and to the debate around its possible identity symbols, which have persisted among analysts and scholars during the last thirty years, especially in the decade immediately after the death of Francisco Franco. The text, following an approach to the evolution of the films shot in the Basque Country since the very first experiences in the twenties, tries to place the question in another perspective, much more related to the current reality and demand for an open, plural and mixed cinema, which takes on plural subject matters and formats and which is, at the same time, the image of the thinking and feeling of contemporary Basque creators, no matter where they are. These are the conditions which will enable the gradual creation of a film industry that will make it possible to talk, for the first time, about a true "national Basque cinema", heir to past experiences and positioned squarely toward the future. This article explores the relation between multiple senses of communities (M-SOC), time and relationships. Modern communications have weakened the traditional relationship between physical setting and social space, enabling participation in multiple communities simultaneously. Physical presence is no longer necessary or a guarantee for participation. This article is based upon a simple premise, that while as individuals we give meaning to our realities across a complexity of communities, our relations are continuously situated in time and space. Time participating in one community is time not spent participating in another. Additionally we are continuously holding a dialogue with time, both interpreting the past and assessing the future. Emigrating and commuting are social phenomena that are both concerned with the physical movement of individuals between social spaces, with contrasting distributions of time and relations across social spaces. Data obtained from two separate survey populations - immigrants (N = 200) and commuting university students (N = 208) from the same town - provide the empirical basis of the article. UCINET was used to map respondents' personal networks and calculate relational variables. M-SOC, measured with the Sense of Community Index (SCI), was correlated with (1) the distribution of time, (2) the future expectations of and (3) relational variables across multiple communities. In the case of foreigners, the number of years living in Spain was a significant predictor in three different hierarchical regressions of the sense of community with their neighbourhood in the sending country their neighbourhood in Spain and the community of expatriate compatriots. For commuters, the average time spent daily in the city of residence, the average degree of their personal networks and the presence of people from the city of residence in their personal networks were all positively associated with the sense of community of the city of residence. - Abstract
Acinetobacter baumannii is the most important genomic species of Acinetobacter from a clinical and epidemiological point of view. Nevertheless, genomic species other than A. baumannii are increasingly recognized as nosocomial pathogens. Molecular methods of identification (genotypic and proteomic assays) are more accurate and reliable and have greater discriminatory power than phenotypic methods. Eleven genomic species of Acinetobacter spp. (8 A. baumannii, 1 A. pittii, 1 A. nosocomialis and 1 A. lwoffii) with different antimicrobial resistance phenotypes and mechanisms of resistance to antimicrobial agents were sent to 48 participating Spanish centers to evaluate their ability for correct identification at the genomic species level. Identification of the genomic species was performed at the two Clinical Microbiology reference laboratories (Hospital Universitario Virgen Macarena, Seville, Spain; and Complejo Hospitalario Universitario de A Coruña, A Coruña, Spain) by partial DNA sequencing of the rpoB gene and MALDI-TOF. The mean percentage of agreement was 76.1%. Fifty percent of CC-01 (A. pittii) and 50% of CC-02 (A. nosocomialis) identification results were reported as A. baumannii. Discrepancies by type of systems used for identification were: MicroScan WA (51.1%), Vitek 2 (19.5%), MALDI-TOF (18.0%), Phoenix (4.5%), Wider (3.8%) and API 20 NE (3.0%). In conclusion, clinical microbiology laboratories must improve their ability to correctly identify the most prevalent non A. baumannii genomic species., (Copyright © 2018 Elsevier España, S.L.U. and Sociedad Española de Enfermedades Infecciosas y Microbiología Clínica.
