Introduction. This paper presents a qualitative research study which questions the discourse of normative texts regarding the principle of attention to diversity according to the academic and teaching experience of postgraduate students at a Spanish university. Objective. The aim is to go beyond the limits of the surface of the words used in legal texts and access their underlying meaning based on personal experiences narrated by the participants. Materials and methods. The research approach to be used is qualitative, given its flexible and open nature, as this type of design allows the study of problems in higher education to be addressed. Results. The findings reveal the existence of four unnoticed phenomena: the creation of the other as the prototype of their culture, the alienation of the other and the alienation of diversity, the elevation of one culture over the others and, finally, the demonization of these cultures. Conclusions. This paper affirms that the perception and treatment of diversity are afflicted by considerable cultural biases. The final proposition is an invitation to teachers to reflect on their own practice and its legal framework in order to be aware of the possible and unnoticed mismatches between them, because only by being aware of the gap between what is and what should be can actions be redirected to the creation of an atmosphere of respect for diversity. The objective of this article is to study the viability of the European Union's DigCompEdu model, which suggests that teachers' digital competence depends on professional commitment, pedagogical competencies, and the ability to develop students' digital competence. The method of analysis was based on the modeling of structural equations with a PLS (partial least squares) approach. A questionnaire was completed by 2,262 teachers from nine public universities in Andalusia, Spain. The results show the effectiveness of the European model, the possibilities offered by the methodology of structural equations, and the validation of an instrument to analyze teachers' digital competence in the university context. In this area of study, the proposed model can serve to define itineraries of teacher training, establish selection criteria, and analyze the professional development needs of university professors. While research on teaching praxis is abundant, few studies have focused on analyzing instances of malpractice, that is, classroom practices that are incongruent with principles commonly accepted within curriculum, pedagogical and/or didactic frameworks. The theoretical framework of educational malpractice proposed by Herrán and González, which deals with the influence of egocentricity, holds great potential to better understand issues that have been traditionally observed in instrumental teaching within conservatories and music schools, both in Spain and other countries. The present qualitative and critical bibliographic analysis has two objectives: (1) to introduce the above-mentioned theoretical framework to instrumental teaching professionals, by illustrating its key tenets referring to prior research in the area; and (2) to propose strategies to prevent malpractice within conservatories and music schools, drawing on the teacher professional development literature. The strategies proposed involve nurturing teachers' identity as music educators via stronger pedagogical training, enhancing recruitment and induction procedures, and fostering professional development and collaborative work. We conclude by arguing that preventing malpractice in conservatories and music schools requires to rethink the ultimate goal of instrumental teaching and learning in our current society. This paper sets out the professional knowledge and practice of María, a pre-school teacher with three years of experience in a public school in Catalonia and 13 girls and 11 boys in her care. The data collected enables further understanding of her teaching experiences and the educational process she uses, which contribute to the creation and development of an educational relationship marked by a focus on individual needs and the unique characteristics of each child, and describes the support and care provided throughout classroom experiences. This article presents the experience of the University of Valencia (UV) in training junior faculty since 2000, starting with the Course of Introduction to University Teaching -CIDU- and continuing with the current Diploma Research, Management and University Education (DIGEU). Specifically, it focuses on mentoring as a strategy to raise the training of junior faculty, part of a broader proposal, so the training program for mentors and the theoretical basis of their performance is presented in the case of the University of Valencia. Also reports of the evaluation plan of the program whose purpose is to provide quality information for their improvement. Finally, the results obtained in the evaluation of the same in the two editions as evidence of quality and dynamics of reflection and continuous improvement of the mentoring program used are given. This article aims to present the main outcomes of a research about the factors influencing the transfer potential of university teachers' training into the daily practice. Based on a previous study (Feixas and Zellweger, 2010), a Questionnaire on Factors Conditioning Learning Transfer of Teacher's Training has been designed and applied to participants of academic development activities of Spanish universities. Additionally, an analysis of the training activities of Spanish universities and three focus groups with experts, trainers and participants have been conducted. The application of the instrument to 18 universities (n=1.026) and the corresponding exploratory factor analysis allowed us to examine the model's construct validity (Cronbach's alpha: .91) and have resulted in the emergence of eight factors that affect learning transfer: factors related to the training design (training design and learning achieved), environmental factors (support of the study program's coordinator, readiness to change, environment resources, student feedback , institutional recognition, teaching culture of the teachers' team) and individual factor (personal organization of the work). The analysis of the training designs informs us of a trend predominantly technical and prescriptive which is conceived for the punctual development of skills. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Education institutions, in the current historical moment, are subject to quality assessments, trying to respond to the demands of education authorities and social and family environment, improving quality and achieving equity in education. Achieving these objectives can be promoted from a well-planned and structured evaluation of both schools and teachers. Evaluating the performance of a teacher means to evaluate the execution of their tasks and responsibilities as well as success and achievements under his charge during a given time and in accordance with the expected results.
