Abstract

The article reports on the success of the space sector in Spain boosted by investment from the government elected in 2004 which has lifted prospects. The Galileo pan-European navigation project is spawning plenty of opportunities and Spain is benefiting from contracts for test satellites and the first four constellation spacecraft. The country is also involved in the Vega launcher program. The revenue of the sector for 2004 is given.
