The article presents results of a thermographic examination of the hands of young people belonging to different geographical populations, the indigenous inhabitants of the European North of Russia and South Asia. To identify the features of temperature reactions of the contralateral (left) hand with local cooling of the right in young people who are not adapted to the cold climate, migrants from South Asia (India) was conducted. Thermal photographs of the hands were taken by the method of infrared thermography by means of a thermal imaging camera (NEC-900, Japan). In total, 48 people took part in the survey, among them 24 people (11 women and 13 men) were natives of South Asia (SA group) and 24 people (12 women and 12 men) permanently resided in the territory of the European North of Russia (ENR group). As a result of the study, significant differences between the SA and ENR in nominal values of the background temperature of the skin surface of the contralateral hand, as well as the temperature of the hand at each stage of the recovery period after a local cold test were found. In comparison with the ENR group a significantly lower value of the brush temperature in the SA group was revealed. At the same time, a similar dynamics of temperature changes of the contralateral hand manifested in a gradual increase in the temperature of the contralateral hand after a cold test was common to both groups.
