Abstract

The article presents a study which examined and compared the diets of synoptic Sorex (S) shrew species found on Smrekovec Mountain and Peca Mountain in Slovenia. It notes several components of prey that were found in the stomachs of S. alpinus, S. araneus, and S. minutus which include antennae, legs, and elytrae. Researchers confirmed differences in the dietary content of the three species with a significant overlap between S. araneus and S. minutus.
