Abstract

The article focuses on a study in which a chromosome-wide scan was performed in samples from coronary artery disease (CAD) patients and controls in Shandong peninsula of China and states that the study may help to characterize susceptibility genes that affect cardiovascular disease in a Chinese population. As mentioned, the results confirmed the association between chromosome 13 and CAD in a Chinese Han population and identified two regions, which may have susceptibility genes for CAD.
