The article determines the prevalence and predictors of preseason conditioning among high school athletes. The majority of the athletes met the criteria for each individual conditioning component like aerobic, stretching, and strengthening, but only minority of them met all three criteria. The results of the study, highlighted the need for school or coach sponsored involvement to ensure that all athletes are engaged in comprehensive preseason conditioning programs. The study was made through a cross-sectional survey of 451 high school athletes in five public high schools in Seattle, Washington.
