The article offers information on Omsk haemorrhagic fever. Omsk haemorrhagic fever is an acute viral disease prevalent in western Siberia in Russia. It is considered as a member of the tick-borne group of flaviviruses within the family Flaviviridae. Humans may be infected by the virus by transmissive or non-transmissive routes. It is maintained in the tick population by being delivered from infected to non-infected ticks when they feed at the same site of skin on a host. Among its symptoms are headache, cough, muscle pain and dehydration.
