The article describes the psychological support being offered by charity Médecins Sans Frontières to a displaced Chechen population in Ingushetia, Russia. The charity runs a mental health program which focuses on the spontaneous settlements where many of the most vulnerable Chechens live. The counselors depend on a network of volunteers who help them to identify people who need help and also organize community and social activities.
