The Order no 592/2002 issued by the Ministry of Water and Environment Protection and STAS no 12574/87 limit the concentration of powders and gas imissions to the surrounding environment. The researches carried out by the experts at INCD INSEMEX Petroşani focused on monitoring the immisions of PM10, SO2, NO2 towards the inhabited area neighbouring Jiet III main ventilation station which ventilates the undetermined stopes at Lonea mines. The results were compared to the maximum permissible values stipulated by the above said regulations; there were also produced maps for the diagnose and prognose of imissions with the help of the expert software called Austal view 6.0. Based on a contract, in 2006 year, INCD INSEMEX Petrosani carried out researches and designed an ecologic storehouse for the furnace slag coming from S.C. SOMETRA S.A. Copsa Mica. The researches intended first to classify the furnace slag waste based on the acceptance criteria for storage, in compliance with the Order 95/2005 of MMGA. In this spirit there have been made levigation and percolation testes in compliance with European standards. The next stage considered in performing of investigations so as to settle the location for the new storehouse, meeting at the same time the requirements stated in the Government Decision no. 349/2005. To determine the physical and mechanical properties and the hydro-geological conditions for the base of new location, there were made drillings that gave concrete results on the natural conditions of the new storehouse. The last stage include the production of the technical documentation for the execution of the new ecologic storehouse, with the observance of the legal requirements for base waterproofing, the production of the drainage system, waterproofing the surface of the storehouse and catching of surface waters.
