The research has as objective to analyse the evolution of the employed population and the gross domestic product in services, in the Western Region of Romania, from 2016-2020, respectively to highlight the importance of the employed population's contribution to the creation of the gross domestic product. Based on the statistical data series, the absolute, relative and average indicators were calculated, with the aim of identifying for each type of service the increase, the dynamics index and the rate of growth of the employed population and the gross domestic product, both in absolute values and in values mediums. The employed population and the gross domestic product registered positive values for most services, and negative values only for the population employed in Financial Intermediation and Insurance services, Other service activities, Education, Public Administration and Defence; social insurance from the public system, as well as to the gross domestic product for Real Estate Transaction services and Financial Intermediation and Insurance services. As an absolute first in the Romanian scientific space, being conducted on a local scale, the research that led to the publication of this article aims to provide expert assistance to public authorities that have to manage the dynamics and social impact of suicide and to psychologist and other social scientist who study the various other dimensions of the suicide phenomenon. The general hypothesis of the present research is the following: although suicide seems to be an a-spatial phenomenon, it can have resilient, persistent evolutions that lead over time to the formation of relatively stable geospatial (geographical) structures. To study the phenomenon of suicide in Romania, we have at our disposal data provided by the National Institute of Forensic Medicine (NIFM) and the National Institute of Statistics (NIS). The data from NIFM are publicly available only for the period 2003-2019, at the national level and in the county profile. In our research, we used data from the NIS, for the period 2011-2020, at a much finer scale (Local Area Unit2 - LAU2). The data collected is processed using geostatistical methods that are accessible, robust and capable of identifying and visually representing (cartographically) the sensitive spaces where the suicide phenomenon takes place. For the quantitative and structural highlighting of suicides, we used cross tabulation analysis, box-plot analysis, neighbours order smoothing autocorrelation analysis with PhilCarto. The suicide rate calculated for the period 2011-2020 was 10.75 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants; in absolute values, for the studied period, 21,252 suicides were registered. Regarding this situation, the legitimate question arises: how many suicide attempts are behind of total number of 21,252 suicides? Mitigating climate change is a challenge that urgently needs to be addressed, as it has an increasing impact on the planet. According to the latest reports, global CO2 emissions must be neutralized by 2050 in order to limit the rise in temperature to 1.5 °C. This work presents the evolution of Land Use, Land Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF) greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions/removals at the EU-27 + UK level for the 1990–2019 time period, as well as LULUCF emissions/removals forecasts for Romania up to 2040. The results revealed a 23% reduction in GHG emissions for the EU-27 + UK in 2019 compared to 1990. Romania's yearly average of GHG emissions/removals was 28,000 kt CO2 eq., representing roughly 9.7% of the EU's annual average. In terms of projections for Romania, the only scenario that will not be in the target set by the new LULUCF Regulation is WEM (Reference Scenario/With Existing Measures), in which net GHG removals will be reduced by approximately 218 kt CO2 eq., or 0.9 percent, in 2030 compared to the reference year; in 2040 compared to 1989, the trend will be accentuated both in absolute values, with a decrease of over 3000 kt CO2 eq., and in relative values of 12%. It is known in the specific literature that the performance on the capital market is closely related to the quality of investment decisions. However, for these decisions, investors need complete, accurate and timely information from companies that want to trade the securities (shares, bonds etc.) on the capital market. Therefore, it is mandatory for listed companies to provide all interested parties various information and reports that show how they manage their activity or business, information that must comply with the legal regulations. Based on this obligation, we can analyze the extent to which the financial reporting of listed companies has an impact on the capital market. The theoretical research of Romania's national legal context regarding the capital market, including the reporting requirements of listed companies is the starting point for the empirical study on the financial reporting impact analysis on the capital market. We will follow the correlation between the information contained in the mandatory financial statements of the listed companies and the indicators presented by the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The study also highlights how the information contained in the financial statements is useful to the capital market. The Eastern Carpathians depressions were always considered as the cold corner of Romania having the lowest temperatures. With all these in the past several years in these basis where the apples and potatoes were the most common cultures, now not only maize, cherry and tomatoes are cultivated but also grape and apricot is present. Our research wanted to investigate if it’s about changing in seasons length as it’s present in everyday talk (ex. there’s no more spring) and if it’s a possibly lasting situation or not. Based on daily minimum, maximum and mean temperature values, applying K-means clustering for automatic season detection and trend analysis we found that these depressions are affected by global climate change, but this not affects the presence of the four classic season for continental climate. The seasons are notable but there are changes in how they can be characterized. The most notable result in our current research is that there are significant trends in summers’ minimum, maximum and mean temperatures for all these depressions. The year 2006 could be considered as breaking year for daily mean temperatures as the obtained two periods has a significant difference regarding the daily mean temperature value with an absolute difference between 1.1 – 1.3 degree Celsius. The paper has comparatively analyzed the role of tourism in the economic growth of Bulgaria and Romania, using the specific system of indicators: GDP, employment, multiplicator effect, efficiency, investments, visitor exports, and competitiveness. The methodology was based on the formulas provided by literature at present and the data were collected from UNWTO Data Base. Bulgaria and Romania are important tourism destinations grace to their rich cultural and historical heritage, beautiful landscapes, landmarks, tourism forms, service quality and hospitality. Bulgaria has more visitors and receipts than Romania, but in absolute value, tourism has a higher contribution to GDP in Romania, while in relative value, 11.5% of GDP is produced by tourism and in Romania just 5.3%. Tourism supports employment 3.7 times better in Romania than in Bulgaria regarding the number of jobs. The multiplicator effect is almost similar in the both countries, proving that tourism growth stimulated the development of other economic sectors. Tourism increases labor productivity in the economy of the both countries, but 1.4 times more in Bulgaria. Visitor exports in Bulgaria are higher than in Romania, while investments in tourism are 4.5 higher in Romania than in Bulgaria. Tourism competitiveness is low in the both countries, but Bulgaria comes on a lower position than Romania in the international market. As a conclusion, both Bulgaria and Romania has to intensify the efforts to sustain tourism growth, its contribution to the development of the economy and become a more competitive sector. Bulgaria and Romania have to better evaluate all their resources, to diversify their offers, to improve service quality and increase tourism performance. Only in this way, a new tourism strategy could attract more visitors and increase the role of tourism in the economy and improve the image of each country in Europe and in the world.
