Abstract

The article focuses on a study on the presence of antibodies against Feline coronavirus (FCoV), Feline herpesvirus (FHV-1), Feline calicivirus (FCV) and Feline parvovirus (FPV) in serum of domestic cats from Rio Grande do Sul in Southern Brazil. Details about age, gender and habitat were used to analyze the frequency of the antibodies. The study found that majority of the animals were exposed to multiple viruses. A greater frequency of seropositivity for all the viruses was observed among adult cats compared with young ones.
