Abstract

The article reports on the increase of herring quotas to help fishers in Prince Edward Island (PEI). Legislative Assembly member Sonny Gallant asks provincial Fisheries Minister Neil LeClair if the province can lobby the federal government to increase PEI's yearly quota for lobster bait. LeClair notes that lobster fishers pay 40 cents a pound for frozen herring out of Newfoundland and Labrador. He assures that there will be bait allocation in the month of June.
