Abstract

The article discusses a study on the high prevalence of sexually transmitted diseases among adolescents enrolled at a public high school in Philadelphia. The screening and treatment programs need evaluation. The program demonstrated the effectiveness of a school-based screening program in the identification and treatment of the infections.

Abstract

We report a case of ocular vaccinia infection in an unvaccinated laboratory worker. The patient was infected by a unique strain used in an experiment performed partly outside a biosafety cabinet.
