A new species of Euragallia Oman, 1938 from Peru (Pasco Department) is described and illustrated. Euragallia batmani sp. n. can be distinguished from the other species of the genus by the very posteriorly pronounced male pygofer, with an apical hook-like projection, and by the well-developed dorsal area of the aedeagal base, resembling the open wings of a bat. With the addition of E. batmani sp. n., the number of Euragallia species is increased to 21. Only one additional species of the genus is recorded from Peru (E. prion Kramer, 1976). A comparison between the new species and E. prion is provided. A conspicuous structure, which connects the subgenital plates to the styles, is described in detail and named. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Three new submacropterous species of Splonia Signoret, 1891 are described and illustrated: Splonia dietrichi (Peru, new record for the genus), Splonia flavoscutellata (Ecuador), and Splonia fritilla (Venezuela). A detailed redescription of the genus is given, including the first account of the female terminalia (based on S. fritilla). A key to males of the now six known Splonia species is provided. The genus Desamera Young is reviewed, including its diagnosis, redescription of D. intersecta (Germar), description of three new species (D. manauara sp. nov. and D. viridimaculata sp. nov. from Brazil, and D. youngi sp. nov. from Brazil and Peru), and a key to males of all six known species. A phylogenetic analysis with 12 terminal taxa, based on 65 morphological (head, thorax, male and female genitalia) and colour pattern characters, yielded four most parsimonious trees. The monophyly of Desamera was recovered in all the trees with high support indices. In addition, the analysis recovered a non-monophyletic Ciccus Latreille, a genus previously hypothesized to be closely related to Desamera. Ciccus viridivitta (Walker) appeared closer to Ciccamera hamata gen. et sp. nov. than to the type-species of Ciccus, C. adspersus (Fabricius). Thus, Ciccus viridivitta was transferred to Ciccamera, which was recovered as the sister group of Desamera. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Egidemia peruana sp. n., a new species from South Peru (Urubamba Province, Cusco Region), is described and illustrated. The new taxon can be distinguished from the other eight known Egidemia China species mainly by the shape of the male pygofer, subgenital plates, styles, and aedeagus. Taxonomic notes on the genus and a key to its species are included. Egidemia peruana sp. n., uma nova especie do sul do Peru (Provincia de Urubamba, Regiao de Cusco), e descrita e ilustrada. O novo taxon pode ser distinguido das outras oito especies conhecidas de Egidemia China, principalmente, pela forma do pigoforo masculino, placas subgenitais, estilos e edeago.
