The article presents a study which examines the development of an evidenced-based heart disease knowledge questionnaire in the U.S. A questionnaire addressing several central domains of heart disease knowledge has been constructed after review of the existing literature. The study revealed a comprehensive 30-item questionnaire which medical personnel can use to assess their patient's heart disease knowledge to help their patients reduce their heart disease risk.
