Capital has historically used land to guarantee the accumulation process. In the 21st century, characterized by unique global dynamics, a land acquires an increasingly market character and is transformed a financial asset. This global land rush results in a process that comes under territorial control. Unlike most of the researches propagated, territory control is not unique worldwide, as it is the result of general (global), particular (national / regional) and singular (local) dynamics in interaction. Based on the case study of Paraguay, the objective of this article is to debate the singularities of territory control in Paraguay, bringing the dynamics and contradictions of this process to the discussion. Through the survey and systematization of data made available by MAG and CAPECO and information collected in fieldwork and through interviews, we identified different singularities in the territory control material in Paraguay, as in the incipient presence of financial capital, extreme significance of regional capital and small performance by Chinese capital.
