The article presents the results of a study on the situation of homeless people in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country. During the nighttime count carried out in October 2022, a total of 3,380 people in this situation were identified, of which 19.5% were found on the street and 80.5% stayed in social service centers. An increase in the number of homeless people in the main cities of the Basque Country, especially in Bilbao and San Sebastian, is highlighted. In addition, aspects related to housing shortage, victimization on the street, education and employment, the use of social services, and the health of homeless people are mentioned. The assistance provided by social services and the satisfaction of individuals with such assistance are also analyzed. This article presents an analytical framework that identifies the institutional barriers that hinder or prevent access to social protection services for many women in situations of social exclusion or at risk of it. The importance of gender perspective training for agents operating in the field of social policies is highlighted. Reasons why many women do not use social services are mentioned, such as the fear of being labeled as "bad mothers" and the digital divide. In addition, the lack of gender perspective in social services is addressed, as well as the need to modify the research approach to better understand the processes of creating differences and inequalities. The fragmentation in the social protection system and the lack of access to necessary resources and services for women in situations of social exclusion are also mentioned. The importance of comprehensive monitoring of women receiving the Guaranteed Income Benefit (RGI) and the lack of coordination between different public services are emphasized. Furthermore, the lack of sensitivity and gender perspective in reports and social services targeting women in situations of exclusion is addressed, as well as the importance of building trust relationships and listening to women. Training in gender perspective is proposed as a solution to avoid the invisibility and stigmatization of these women. In recent years, studies related to the phenomenon of school concentration in Europe have increased. The education system of the Basque Country has also these dynamics, although the literature on this subject is quite scarce. The aim of the article is to describe the profiles of foreign students' families who consider that their children are studying in schools with a high presence of immigrants. To that end, we have analyzed the socioeconomic conditions of immigrant families, as well as other factors that may affect the phenomenon of school segregation. In this sense, our study corroborates that socioeconomic conditions affect the phenomenon of school segregation, but, in turn, points out the need to take into account other factors that may influence it. Thus, significant differences have been detected according to the origin of the families, highlighting the heterogeneity of the immigrant collective, as well as the need to analyze the influence that the system of linguistic models of the Basque Country has on immigrant students' school concentration.
