The article presents a study on the habitat associations of Lepidoptera in the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas. The researchers performed blacklight trap surveys to document the relative occurrence of species throughout habitats in two distinct forest landscapes. They also placed a cotton wad soaked in ethyl acetate in every trap to subdue trapped insects and then sorted and placed specimens in cold storage for laboratory identification. They found that fragmentation or the use of agricultural land holds consequence for the evenness of species.
