Abstract

In 1971 a cist was excavated at Gyre Farm, Orphir, Orkney, by D D A Simpson. The structure can be classified as a double short cist which appears a relatively rare and unusual short cist variant. The cist contained a series of disarticulated human remains. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
